Dubov's imaginative attack in the Ragozin | Sjugirov vs Dubov
Вставка

- After the moves 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 d5 4.Nc3, many years ago, everyone used to think the best way to equalize is with Be7. The solid move led to some great games starting from the Capablanca, Alekhine era. However, Black players quickly realize that it could be a good idea to use your dark squared bishop more actively and develop it on b4. After Bb4, we are in Ragozin territory. This video will prove to an excellent guide to learn some ideas in the Ragozin Defence. After all Dubov is one of the most creatively inclined GMs of the modern era.

Crazy how at one point Giri was up by 7+ mins but still managed to come thru with a clutch draw.
Dubov rocking a Balenciaga sweatshirt is my new favourite.🙌
yea wow it's 925€
Thanks for the editing, it's much better to follow a rapid game without all time thinking between a move and another
Love how Dubov rests his nose on his hand....Yes, give your neck a rest sir.
yes, he needs some neck and spine conditioning practices to look healthier, all the rest is fine - when he sees the board through his hair more or less clear.
He is healthy enough to make one-arm pull ups, there's a video on youtube
@@PticaLetit Huh? I just meant that his nose is so big it probably weighs him down. Im sure he's in decent physical shape.

that king’s hiding behind the queen’s veil at 5.23 and dubov’s reactions 😂🤣

Very impressive performance, teaching us effective strategy on how to develop a strong position and the coordinated placement of pieces before launching a suffocating attack.
Yeah i got a lot of things watching this game
Ver estas partidas es muy tranquilizante
Really dig his style/vibe
he is so calm and relax while playing..
That Balenciaga sweater tho 🔥
What a massacre. I might guess that the a6-a5-a4 plan is particularly interesting in order to deviate the white pieces to the queenside.

why in minute 3:56 Dubov move the pawn in that direction??
“En passant” it’s a very rarely used but legal move in chess.
amazing

I love Dubov with all of my heart
what a beauty of dubov chess
Que fue ese movimiento de dubov en 3:49 ?? Como fue que le comio ese peón?
its en passant
What was that move at 3:49 from dubov? How did the pawn move like that?? I’m a beginner btw
I am also looking for the answer for this
Found it: En passant is a move in chess. It is a special pawn capture that can only occur immediately after a pawn makes a move of two squares from its starting square, and it could have been captured by an enemy pawn had it advanced only one square
f5! La ruptura más importante, para defensa y ataque.
At 5:03 that pawn at g4 felt scary to me so I wouldn't take it. Would have moved pawn to h4 instead. I wonder if this would be a better move...
Can someone tell me what happened at 3:46 blacks move. Looks like he took a piece but didn't move to that square??
It is called en passant. It happens when our pawn is on rank 5 for white, rank 4 for black and the opponent moves the pawn beside it 2 squares ahead to avoid being captured, u could still capture it with en passant, but it need to be done right after the pawn 2 squares ahead move
Dubov cornered the guy, and I thought I was keeping up with his plan. Then suddenly the other guy's king was trapped 😮
Does anyone know where to get this chess set and board?
Дубов когда-нибудь меняет свой свитер или всегда играет в одном и том же?)))
Could someone tell me why not have the queen take the rook at the end? Relatively new to chess
@@curtisjordan8602 Ah, wasn't paying attention to the rook on the g file. Thanks man
3:48 what is this move again? And what are the conditions?
Is called "en passant", when a pawn moves 2 cases and end up with an enemy pawn on his side the enemy can capture as you saw. It kind of a simulation of the fact that the pawn used the case under control of the enemy pawn during the movement. You can capture en passant only immediately after the pawn's move.
More precise info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/En_passant
What is the move called in 3.49? Please explained somebody
That is en passant capture.
Can someone please explain that move 3:49?
Dubov is such a lil cutie, he looks like he'd be a LOT of fun. 2:22 lol the guy at the other table holding his face like 6 inches above the board.

3:48 I didnt know about that moves :D
Yes, wtf i don't stand
If the pawn advance 2 cells and is in line with an enemy pawn the enemy pawn can take it
@@brunovillegas4368 oooh thanks
In the final position couldn't white go kf2 instead of kh1 after the check and defended? 5:20
Yes, but that would only delay death for a few moves.
@@Overdarth1 Rather taking the pawn at g4 at 5:13 , why didn't he take the rook with Bxg6 and remove the threat
@@samuelwagdutt2225 I think that in this case Black would have taken the f3 knight first, and then the g6 bishop, since the bishop could not have left.

can someone tell me what happen at 3:48 ????
Why could Dubov take the pawn at 3:48 ? Is it a common rule? Because I thought you could only take the pawn if you want to put yours to the same field
it is called en passant. It happens when our pawn is on rank 5 for white, rank 4 for black and the opponent moves the pawn beside it 2 squares ahead to avoid being captured, u could still capture it with en passant, but it need to be done right after the pawn 2 squares ahead move
What did they said at the last?
First of all , i love left-hand people and My favourite chess player Dubove is also left hand. I am so happy.
1:55 did someone watch that wideo when hikaru did The same with the tower and his opponent called it to judge
It's not really the same thing. You see Dubov knocked down the rook by accident and fixed it before pressing the clock like you're supposed to do. If you knock a piece by accident you should pick it up before pressing the clock. In the clip you're referring to Hikaru pressed the clock and then while coming back with his arm knocked down a piece. His opponent tried to call the judge on that but it was nonsense cause Hikaru dropped the piece after pressing the clock so he did not break any rule and it was impossible for him to do otherwise.
It’s crazy between 3:40 and 3:50 he steals a pawn that wasn’t able to get took
What was that move at 3:49? How did he claim that pawn?
En passant
Can anyone explain the move at 2:30...pawn diagonal movement ?
Whats wrong?
3:46 what was that ???
Dubov allows him to work on both sides of the brain. He uses the left hand while typing the right hand while making moves.
Why he didn’t took the rook with the bishop? 4:38
The opponent played the best move only - 2.99. Taking with the bishop is much worse.

Did I calculate correctly that there were 28 moves in the game?
This guy is cute and respectful
3:49 what the hell was rhat move ?! How did he move pawn horizontally like that?? And how did he take dawn his pawn ? Wth?
It's called en passant, which occurs when a pawn that moves 2 squares and passes the opponent's pawn is taken out.
12 years playing chess and never knew this move existed?!!
@@Halabala305 well better late then never! :) always something to learn

3:50 why move pedin in this way?
That's en passant. When a pawn moves 2 square up besides opponents pawn then you can capture it diagonally.
can someone explain what happend in 3:50 ??
Didn't get that. Pls someone explain.
Thats en passant in chess
It is called en passant. It happens when our pawn is on rank 5 for white, rank 4 for black and the opponent moves the pawn beside it 2 squares ahead to avoid being captured, u could still capture it with en passant, but it need to be done right after the pawn 2 squares ahead move
It looks too easy...
He writes with his left hand, so he is probably left-handed, but he moves the pieces with his right hand. I do the same but in reverse; I am right-handed and move the pieces with my left hand. It feels really awkward to move them with my right hand.
Thats a GIANT schnozer
Guessed last move :-)
