- The wheel bearing wasn’t actually my problem it was a carrier bearing so I ended up replacing it instead but never the less I hope someone watch this video and learned something informative to help them accomplish a job they are doing or are about to pursue best of ventures
Dude you’re actually quite funny. I’d subscribe.
I used a C-clamp and pushed the axle in a bit. Took a while to figure that out.
Thank you! This really helped me with this issue!
Thank you sooooo much!!!!
Am i stupid? I gave up because i couldnt pull the clip. I have the 8.5 inch rear diff, had enough clearance on each side of the c clip so that i thought it was ready to come out but wouldnt fn pull. Tried 3 magnets. The magnet off the diff case fit in the c clip slot the best but no dice on pulling the damn thing out. I gave up. Was in the rear axle to fix leaks and figured would install new wheel bearings and seals but noooooo. Wtf. Why did i fail?
Also, where do i find the exact same magnet you used
I had to scream and get real angry at it for two days, but i tried hitting the axle in with a rubber mallet, and then when that wasnt enough I moved that I shaped peice in the diff just a little bit to the right with a screwdriver, then i was good to go. Once it popped into place i was in disbelief, Immeadiatly I screamed "YES!!"
When putting the C-clip back in, does it matter if you have the rounded edge facing outboard or inboard?
The rounded edge goes inside the flat edge goes outside if you havnt figured it out yet
AAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! That was me before I watched this, thanks so much Bro!!!!
I did another since filming this video and it went easy no hammer needed but more miles more hammer I guess lol 😅
@@gorillapatester It really didn't seem like I should have needed a hammer, but thanks to you I knew it was OK if i did and it went back together like butter. Thanks again.
I have a question is there a c clip also for the driver side axle bearing? And where is it located?
MYAH!
Was right there and gave up cause didn't have a magnet. Lol.
Easier to do on the other side of that you made it a lot harder than needed to be
Make a video then. I'm puzzled
I still have no idea what you did. "Ya just finagle it" does't help me. Back to cussing.
