I checked it the next day before I put the cover back on and I did have to shim it around a little to get it right.

I had the same setup installed in my 10 bolt and there's something wrong. When you jack up the rear wheels and move the tires, it clunks back and forth. Something is wrong I am guessing. I think the guy screwed it up

Can you explain a little more what you did there with the framing square and caliper?

I was measuring pinion depth. They make a piece you can bolt from side to side but I just used what I had to make it work.

Would this reared require additive in the oil refill?

I did get a Yukon Friction Modifier additive for posi differentials for like 10 bucks. It is supposed to reduce noise and chatter
