Great point! But where I have travelled, salsa is by far the most prevalent/popular partner and "ballroom" dance. Hopefully they can add more styles and expand the offer in the future!
@@VikingPrincessVR thanks for the answer i was referring to VR users;) Also i wonder how did you find learning with the head set does it beat learning with a normal screen?
This can be good for learning basic steps and provide a lower barrier of entry to those who are too shy to try a quick intro course in real life. The drawback with VR, as with video courses, is that the key to couple's dancing is all about learning to feel/provide connection that are those "pre-cues" that you mentioned were lacking. Otherwise you might be fooled into thinking that connection is about interpreting visual cues, which is what many beginners may spend years having to un-learn if they are taught wrong to begin with. Still, this is an interesting experiment that can help inspire people to try a real-life intro course.
Agreed! I think so many are scared to take the fist step - attending a beginners dance class can be so intimidating! Hopefully this will open up the door for more people to join the wonderful world of Salsa and dance 😊
I'm a bit sceptical for the follower. It's very important to have the physical contact that make the follower do what the leader want; a small indication being enough to indicate what to do. Here, even with the ghost, the follower has to initiate the movement on her own. I think it's a bad habit to take. I don't danse salsa, but I danse rock, and often see begginers that try to imagine what I want more than following what I indicate (I know it's hard, when I try as follower, I usually fail as well) But as the leader these VR lessons might be interesting, even whithout physical contact. With a ghost to mimic like in the martial art app, it can be a interesting way to learn different moves And also, for the basic step, it probably good

I got all pumped up and ready for some dancing, then when I went to Steam... it's only on Quest 😭
yeah - I think the handtracking and MR options can be hard to put out on Steam? Not sure if they're planning to expand platforms in the future
Can it make sure my hips don’t lie
oh Eric... I would never trust your hips 🤣🤣
