  • Thanks for tuning in. This video, I'm gonna walk you through the process to remove the glass panel from your factory sunroof, to assist in troubleshooting a broken, or non operational sunroof. This will apply to all RAV4's of similar year models. It should help on other models and may assist on other makes, as many are all somewhat similar. Thanks for watching. Please watch follow up video, to assist in reprogramming your sunroof operation, if needed.

Great video and thanks for posting! My sunroof doesn't open at all! Water got into the switches due to clogged drains I guess? How do I access the motor to see if it is damaged from water intrusion? Last time roof was open was in June and it was just popped up for a bit; I never checked the drain holes. I've cleaned them before so I know that about operating the sunroof.

That's the real mystery. I have to say, it was a first for me. 27 years of doing this. Seen many different things. That was the first cracker jacks compass. Thanks for watching. Please, go subscribe for more tech tips in the future. Thanks for watching. - Sponge

I am about to take out my plexi glass which has cracked up over time and is now leaking.
I will take it to the glass shop to be replaced.
Do I have to reprogram the computer OR does he only have to replace the glass and the motor will continue to work as usual?@spongestechtips-xu1xg
