UPDATE Nov-8: Part 2 is now out: ua-cam.com/video/4J6LkHSsKIc/v-deo.htmlsi=Qf8-mGpL7bjHMT9E - Hi guys! I'm still recording Part 2 If you can't wait i'll give you a low down what I discovered so far here (most in comparison to my AINAVI unit): the ultra wide screen is really reminiscent of a BMW style hud which is pretty sleek imo, connecting to Android Auto from startup is faster, external microphone call quality is vastly superior to AINAVI (which was a major sticking point for a lot of people). This probably due to a better sound chipset - the difference is quite noticeable (I'm even not a hardcore sound guy). Online support is sooo much better (its not just limited to AliExpress Chat). The only things that could be improved so far would be a physical home / back button and support for 12-pin 360 cams (does support 10-pin). The G13 is reasonably priced a bit more than AINAVI. Would have liked the G13 listed on Amazon. CA too for us Canadians. Wanted to give some options aside from the H5/H6 unit. They're both different beasts in their own right. Cheers
What a very clean review and crystal clear shot. I just found out about your channel. Really amazing 👍... Does the Dasaita has a 2024 rav4 variant of this? and do they have a 360 camera accessories that can be coupled with it Thanks
Thanks for your comments and watching! 😀 Part 2 is taking a while but I'm obviously meticulous that way lol! That's a good question, you may want to contact Dasaita sales directly because of how new that year is. I can imagine they should considering I've noticed how popular the rav4 community is but i digress. The G13 does support 10pin factory 360 aux modules but doesn't support the direct 12pin 3rd party ones - If you watched my DIY 360 video from before, that system isn't compatible with the G13 unfortunately. However it doesn't mean Dasaita won't come out with their own or an adapter in the future, so again its best that their sales team confirm with you. Cheers!
@squishyhammer Thanks so much for your swift response. My 2024 rav4 actually doesn't have a factory 360 camera. I am presently in the market for an android head unit, so I am considering many options. However, I found a brand that produces different accessories a customer can couple with their brand Android head unit. Which I found very impressive and amazing (360 camera, TPMS, DVR camera, Dashcam, OBD Reader etc). Even if your car doesn't have that properties (accessories OEM) from factory. All a customer need to do is just to do the installation in the car and wiring to the android head unit. And it was very amazing..... That's why I am asking if Dasaita offers different accessories aswell that can be coupled with the head unit independent of it's availability on the car from factory Cheers 👍
Hi, this a great quality review. Is the call quality good? What microphone does it use? Also is the GPS accurate? Can you run the app GPS test and see how many satelites are you locking to, how fast and how many meters is the accuracy? I had a terrible experience with an android unit on my previous car and i returned it in 2 days because the GPS accuracy was 50 meters (!) and the external mic was so bad that no one could here me well in a phone call. I would like to change my 2021 Toyota corolla 8" head unit but if the GPS and call quality are bad it's a no go for me.
Thanks! The call quality is better than my Ainavi unit, of course its not 100% as factory. The GPS is quite accurate for me, of course I always suggest placing it under the windshield for the best acquisition. yes 50 meters is a bit much.. But yes i think its a common thing with Android units with the microphone issue. I suggest ordering from Amazon in case. Cheers
Great! I'm not familiar about DAB radio functionality (since you bought a separate module I'm assuming it doesn't include it) but regular radio reception works just fine. Cheers
Get I'm looking to purchase one of these for my Canadian 2020 corolla hybrid. But I have some questions... can you not use the factory microphone? and does it have a hybrid monitor app?
hmm I have yet to come across an Android unit that uses the factory microphone. Not sure why, perhaps there is some sort of preamp difficulties that vary car to car. Their external mic works though. You may want to contact Dasaita directly about the hybrid variant. I unfortunately don't have the information to comment on that. Cheers
This gives me hope for a newer Camry stereo replacement. Your Corolla radio looks exactly like the one in my '23 Camry. Just hope any new stereos developed keep the knob. :D
I'm surprised! Do they still use the Entune software on the 2023 models? Yes I remember when I switched over the android units I really missed the knobs lol. Spamming the volume buttons don't have the same "turn up the sound" satisfaction 😁 Cheers
@@squishyhammer Yes, Toyota is still running the Enture software in their radios. It's so basic. :D I'm guessing the Corolla got this style radio/dash before the Camry refresh, hence the extreme similarities. I'm halfway tempted to see if my dash/radio disassembles the same way yours did. I'll probably do that when I add an amp soon, which may turn into a stereo replacement too if there's a suitable Android replacement by then.
Unfortunately not that I know of natively. Best to confirm with Dasaita support. They do sell TPMS sensors that connect to a separate USB device so I'm assuming it isn't possible to decode it off the canbus - at least not yet. Cheers
oooh man. I love my AINavi unit i bought cause of your original video. I do still have issues with it here and there, mainly with the can bus. And that is certainly a higher quality looking, non hi-world canbus. Do you think its worth 600 bucks if i already have the AI navi? Can the g13 legitimately do anything the AI navi models cannot?
Hey! I would say functionality wise both are quite equal right now. I'm currently testing it all out. Performance wise the edge would definitely go to the G13 - my H5/H6 is slightly older in terms of software/hardware spec but man the Android Auto loads insanely faster on the G13 which WOWed me literally... My AINAVI would 25% of the times stall and I would have to reconnect BT to get AA to launch. I would give the user interface edge to AINAVI since I find the nav more consistent especially having a physical back or home button, which I'm finding on the G13 requires a swipe down the nav bar first which I'm finding a bit tedious - but outside of testing I usually wouldn't be swapping in and out of apps as often as I am now so I digress. What really is standing out for me on the G13 in comparison (and I eluded in my pinned comment) is the call/sound quality (which is really positive in my testing so far), support is also 100X better with Dasaita, and as you and I both know, AINAVI only has the one platform to communicate on and pretty much spotty assistance unfortunately... This would probably be the defacto reason to go for the DASAITA G13 in your case. Surprisingly I'm actually likin the wide screen format too as it feels more "natural" and "unobtrusive" which initially pushed me to review something that was distinctly different. I'll probably explain my feelings fully in the next video lol. But if anything above is currently a priority for you then its worth the immediate update. I'm still pretty much happy with my H5/H6 too, it really comes down to personal preference now. Since you're already enjoying the AINAVI as well (semi-working?), maybe just wait for the next gen updates to make another leap.

Hello, I ordered my screen from the website 2 days ago. Thanks for the video. How many days it will take to receive screen from China to Canada?
Thanks for watching and congrats! Mine came within a week of shipping out. You should be given a tracking number when it does. Cheers
