@@thesouthernoutdoorsmen man we love all yalls comments..maybe yall can think about how to do some videos on scouting. And do a couple for each state..like southwest Louisiana piney woods and the delta region and the same w other states that have completely different types of terrain
@@StealthTRDwe are planning on doing some scouting videos soon! We also plan on doing more in the field videos as we travel and meet guests, similar to what we did with Bobby Worthington last year.
PUBLIC LAND Show Room = Inspiration for folks like me! As hunting is more expensive, and hunting leases increase in prices, Access to private lands and premium hunts are disappearing. But PUBLIC land is still available. Thank you for the confirmation and motivation! EMBRACE The AWE!
Ain't no way the pressure was 10xs more back then than it is now!!! We got famous social media influencers and podcast broadcasting how good public land is to hunt. You think more people knew back then what they know now? Fuck no. Way more competitive and wwway more people in the woods now on public.
What state do you hunt in? We definitely think some states are experiencing higher numbers of hunters than others. A few of the podcast guests we have had on from Alabama that has been hunting public land since the 1970’s have mentioned how much higher hunting pressure was on public back then until the 1990’s when hunters shifted to leasing ground. This would be an interesting conversation with our state agency and see what data they have from check in hunts back then compared to now. Thanks for watching!
@@thesouthernoutdoorsmen I'm in elmore county alabama and you can't even lock down a gate to go in and hunt...if you find a good spot 2000 other ppl know about it and i have to drive an hr to get to the nearest public all to show up to someone camping at a gate....I don't even really care ab trying to hunt anymore bc i dont really have anywhere to go unless it's public

We’d love to see a photo of one if anyone has one. There has always been myths about people seeing them but as many trail cameras that are being used you’d think quality photos would be produced. Most people mistake bobcats on trail cameras for mountain lions unfortunately
@ we have them down here in south Florida but it’s a super rare occasion when one is on trail camera. My buddy who works the checkout station at one of the wma’s has even seen one in person but not on trail camera.

I am officially unsubscribing from this channel.. #1: You guys are not good hunters even though you have all deer hunting knowledge at your fingertips. #2: You support agenda based videos that aim at logging and destroying what is left of the natural untouched hardwood forests on public lands knowing that the states will only allow useless pines, thorns, gum, and sage grass to grow in its place which will make incapable of being hunted ever again. #3: The quality of your content releases are rapidly declining and are not relevant to the time of year or season when they were released during. #4: You two just need to stick to your crap private land and give up on promoting public land hunting and pushing your piece of crap buddies who own logging and construction operations and want access to the public lands. DON'T LOG AND DON'T BURN AND DON'T PLANT PINE TREES... IT'S THAT SIMPLE...
I can't stand logging...80acr of clear-cut is the only place I have left to hunt and everything I built up on that property wich was turkeys and big bucks is now gone...you can't even get in the place to hunt without blowing deer all the way off the property....logging is almost always a greedy money grab and ruins a prime peice of real estate...after they log it and ruin it then they build subdivisions on it bc its useless and it sucks
I've been home since I was 15 years old. I'm 44 years old now there's no way of telling from a buck track or a dog track. Scientist has done prove that if y'all do y'all's research. So I think it's funny when y'all say is a buck track and could be a really fat big doe. That's what gets me when everybody on social media can say oh it's a buck track y'all don't know. Y'all are full of s*** and not educated at all. You cannot tell from a mature doe are a mature Buck track. If y'all really think so y'all not hunters. If so all y'all want to do is shoot something every one of you are sportsman and not hunters. Y'all hunt for a sport. There is no way of proving from a doe track or a buck track. The old-timers know that 😂.
Where I grew up hunting we didn't have many big does so you seldom saw the dew claw in a track so we judged since it wasn't visible a doe or smaller deer less heavy deer possibly made that track in ar where I hunt you always see the dew claw bc all of our mature deer are heavy but true you can't tell em apart
I'm on a hard learning curve in Dixie. I lived in New England & the deer & bucks rack seem to have been much larger compared to where I currently live. I've let a bunch of 115-120" go but I'm finding I was most likely making a mistake. I wish Louisiana had a QDM program the genetics are terrific but the number of 1.5 & 2.5 year old bucks taken short circuits their potential. Beautiful collection from years of expertise. 👍🏼🏹🦌🦃🫎🐻💯
I really like this type of video where the guest tells stories of the hunt and we can see the mounts.
We are glad you enjoyed! We want to get listener/viewer feedback and see if yall want to see more videos/podcasts like this.

Michael, what’s your cover scent and terrain preferences?
Wow! Did he harvest all these animals himself or are some of them purchased/sheds?
Most of them are Michales, some belong to his wife Kathy and he has 3 from his father!
