I did this procedure today and if you have this skoda chances that bolts will be rusty are very high. get yourself good penetration fluid, spray all bolts couple of days prior to changing them. Also get yourself wire bush on drill or grinder and clean threads well, you will thank me later.
You don't need to do 1/2 of that, just lever the lower wishbone down, complete with hub carrier etc and you can get it out of the strut, just. (open the hub carrier up with a cold chisel using it as a wedge, far better than we see in the video. Push it slightly rearwards and you can drop the strut out forwards.
In the old and new shock absorbers, due to the difference in manufacturers, the mounting dimensions differ. A video on replacing the shock absorber you can watch on our youtube channel.
LOL, I missed the upper fastener for the stabilizer bar link at first. Maybe you should have the promo for more videos not covering the important view of the actual video, or stop the video and do the promo, and then continue. Just a tip/friendly request.
Video represents how to change spring in ideal world, unfortunately reality is different, shock absorber will not come out from the support block, you will need to hammer it hardly, so recommend to plan about 1-2 hours of joy for replacement of 1 spring. How ever video is helpful
We cannot show all the nuances and problems when replacing, this is all individual and it is not always possible to solve them at home. To avoid this, we always recommend that replacements be made at specialized services.
⚠ Attention! The mistake was made in the video at 9:36 minutes. The tightening torque is 200 Nm, not 141 Nm. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Brilliant video well presented, clear, well lit. All I need now is a hydraulic hoist and a comprehensive toolkit
Thank you for your comment! We are glad that our video was useful for you.

Saw this (taking the strut out of the complete hub carrier) done in Micks Garage video for Toyota
That was what I was thinking, watching this before servicing my friend's car. I sure will try it first. 👍👍👍👍
@5:36 Is it the spring compressor tool that also completely refurbishes the shock absorber assy automagically between takes? 😁😁
...and hey Presto! new brake disc, pads and even caliper too, just like that😁😁
I know they prob take the opportunity to do several videos with one service event, just making some friendly fun😁
Removing strut top #21 & H7. Refitting #22 & H6. Which is it please?

does it matter which way up/down for spring?
It is not possible to answer your question unambiguously; you can find this information in the technical documentation for repairing your car.
Hi, is the spring compressor in video available for purchase? Is there a link please?
Unfortunately, the one used in the video is currently not for sale, as an alternative, we can offer to consider NE00156 ENERGY
Conveniently they do the side without needing to remove wiper :)
Great video
#54 and #55 should swap places in the CC, the brake line is fastened first.
