Please also refinish the old bench to match, it would sand and stain up so lovely. Then you’d have two.
I’m currently making an Adirondack chair out of old 2x3s I’d taken off a sofa base I’d added to help my mum get out of it and stop kids toys and pupper hair going underneath.
Also made a fenced play area in our garden out of 4x4s from heavy duty pallets. Milled down into 2 inch x 1/2 inch slats and painted them with a different rainbow colour.

I'm working on a shed that is built for free out of wood that I brought home from work over the years (framer for about 30 years)...beam cutoffs and old pergolas we have torn down. I am using only wood that is rotting from being in the yard for 8-10 years. I'm making the decay a feature and using timber pieces so that it won't rot in my lifetime. Sheated with ¾" plywood, this shed is built like a tank that looks like it's beaten to death. Everything is pre-weathered.

Bahaha... Well ty. And I have to come clean... I actually try to lighten my accent when I record so people can understand what I'm saying. And I think that's the first time anyone has said my accent is cool. But again, thanks! Oh an Justified took place in Eastern Kentucky... I'm not too far away on the West side.

I used to cut down fence posts and limbs into lumber. Ugly on the outside but beautiful on the inside.
