If money is not a problem then MacBook Pro is definitely the best or else a 16/512 air would do the part (basic 3-4 layer wali 4K toh m1 air ka base variant bhi kr skta hai ,MacBook Pro can do anything you throw at it except for gaming )and about video editing da Vinci resolve and premier pro both are great it’s all up to your preferences.

I was thinking about getting a macbook pro M3 pro 18 GB + 1 TB, but that is more than 240k. But since air is launched, I am thinking of getting a macbook air, 16 GB, 1 TB. Btw I am a software engineer with decent usage and want to keep the laptop for a very long time.

You can later increase your storage by using external nvme SSD and enclosure which is very cheap in comparison with Apple price

Bro ..m1 is a very good laptop. But ...the only thing m2 has going is the display on it looks visually better because of those thinner bezels and notch .
M1 is better than a normal 50k i5 11th gen laptop .

No. M1 works best with max full HD video editing. On 4k videos it starts giving lags while editing.

More ram is always better. If you are a professional video editor/creator then high disk speed matters. If you are a developer then more RAM should be a priority.

Don’t buy the base model. The specs u should get are 16 gb ram and 512 gb ssd which comes up to 1,55,000. If you don’t have the money buy a m2 or m1 with these specs or just go with windows
