“Here's the full track I put together to showcase one of the sounds within the Studio Cabs: Cali Oversized cab, you'll have heard a shortened edit of it in the release video. I wanted to really drill home that with the right source tone you don't need to do much - if any - processing, so for this clip I used the default cab and microphone (Massive, SM57) that loads on startup with no post-EQ whatsoever.
The cab IRs themselves are raw captures, so this is really celebrating just how great the right speaker and mic position can sound with no further work needed.
The guitar signal chain is my Manson guitar with Bare Knuckle Polymath pickups, into the Neural Archetype Nolly plugin (green boost, amp 3, EQ/cabinet/ambience bypassed) into the Cali Oversized plugin. I hope you like it!”

Ggd is so popular now, every modern metal band and even other genres all use ggd now for writing. They have put it the hard work but are reaping the benefits with how successful it has become.

So it's been 8 days now...that guitar solo is still stuck in my head and I can't quit singing it throughout the day. I've listened to it over and over all the way through to maybe finally get it "resolved" and out of my head...but nope...it's just way too good. Melodic perfection! Damn you Nolly ;)

Fascinating to watch how bits of this have clearly unfolded over the course of fifteen minutes, and which bits he's recorded first. I know a lot will have been redone for perfection at a later time, but I love watching the clock jump around in the BG throughout this mix.

You know, one of the best things about these product releases is hearing new music from Nolly!
The harmonic pick scrape for lack of a better description was so tastefully placed and the rhythm and tone of those chugs at the end is just the absolute chefs kiss.
My hair is sufficiently blown back! It’s hard to believe such an incredible sound is coming from a single piece of gear and the guitar. Mighty work, good sir. You’ve achieved a mighty work.
It still amazes me at how great the sound of this clip is... The tone is pretty much a perfect recipe and blend of everything! And the track is addictive as hell! that riff

The edge of nolly's jacket follows the shape of the guitar body and made me double take, thinking the guitar was that thick.
Man, this is so good. Like, ridiculously good. Nolly does all these videos on gear and tone, and that's wonderful, but what I appreciate most about this man is his incredible understanding of and profound respect for phrasing. This transcends from these beautiful guitar solos (See: Archetype demo, Manson Oryx demo) and spills into his bass guitar work and drum programming as well.
So, chiefly, well done my friend. If you should ever do a video on phrasing, I'll be the first to click on it. Cheers from Memphis!

Sounds like a fun power chord jam. Guitarist shouldn’t feel ashamed to use power chords. It’s the one other thing guitars can do that no other instrument can do. Really puts a nice punch into guitar playing. And yes, listening to this rhythm makes me want to improvise some solos too. Killer use of pick squeals and the ever so ingrained open string riffing. Modern guitar at one of its greatest examples
