- learning about EAPG, depression glass and Kosta Boda glass and their values and age in this guessing game. As I learn I'll share what knowledge I've gained as I start my new adventure of reselling on EBAY.
The answer is A, for both questions :) I didn’t put the value in for A, it worth approx $35
I have the Kosta Boda tea light candles. 2 large, 2 small. Bought them in Sweden in the early 90s. I love them and they see daily use in the fall and winter at my house. I refer to mine as snowballs. 🥰
I don't follow glassware, I hadn't realized depression glass had fallen in price so much. I should look around and fill in some missing pieces from the stuff my parents and grandparents had. They bought it when it was new ;)
Perfect time to do it :) it may go back up in value again
I think one reason Depression glass is selling less is because there are reproduction pieces and a lot of people are not interested in learning how to tell the difference.
@@MelissaThompson432 That can be hard I admit. It's pretty easy to tell the low quality junk apart but I've seen some modern glassware, properly labeled as modern, that I wouldn't have been able to tell apart. I've even seen some reproduction Saturday Evening Girls pottery and that I didn't think anyone would ever bother reproducing something like that.
@@xlerb2286 I decided long ago to only buy things I would be happy to keep so that I could take the time to learn from my mistakes, without feeling like I wasted my money. In, I think, the late 70s and early 80s, there was a company that bought old glass molds from the depression glass era and used them to make new items; the difference is in the colors and other qualities of the glass itself. For instance, cobalt and the vaseline color are toxic, so repros use a different dying agent. (Tbh, I don't know of any modern vaseline color glass; but I have bought modern "cobalt." In fact, I was interested in the repro glass before I got into depression era glass.) I only learn to distinguish what I might choose to own, though. I don't buy with selling in mind. I haven't sold for years.

Will do better next time :) thanks for letting me know
I have some Kosta Boda pieces because I like them. I don't intend to sell them. But I recognized the snowball candle holder. 🙂
I love pink depression class. I'm hoping people soon realized how wonderful it is. Loved your quiz. I've been studying resale for the past year and was able to guess correctly. ❤. I didn't know much about the oldest piece though. Thank you!
Thank you! 😊
I have a candle holder which was a gift from work years back. Please continue to showcase glass. Very interesting to learn about what we have.
Will do :) love to know that it interests you just as much as it does me
🙏😍
Thank you so much, I will do that and I appreciate you taking the time to write me to share that nugget of knowledge to help me grow my channel!
I have C but a candy dish with a lid A is probably most expensive.
A#1
Acb....is my gyess from oldest to newest
Fun! I got it right.
More videos please!!!!
I see c alot at my goodwill and Im shocked everytime
I guessed right!
I have C. It was my grandmother's.
What is the value of the butter dish
Approximately $35
I knew it there are not alot of butter dishes
A is the oldest……B is worth the most.
I don't agree with weight story you gave! Depends on the company making the glass. Just pick up a piece of Caprice by the Cambridge Glass Co! I collected Cherry Blossom and some of the bowls & platters have some serious weight. Your sugar & creamer by the Jewnette Glass Co is toward the bottom of the scale!
Valid point, thank you for your feedback
1. C. #2. 1
