despite what the author says the youtuber is right xD laenor is the father in the books and it makes sense since they need targ blood but in the books even if it is corlys it would still make sense in the show it doesnt at all, its just plot holes because of diversity hiring
It isn’t a plot hole. Viserys mentioned in first season that Targaryens controlling dragons is just an ILLUSION. You don’t need to be a Targaryen to claim a dragon. There are other dragon lords in Valyria that isn’t a Targaryen. Hope this helps!
