- Hello everyone! I am so happy that you clicked on this video and want to learn a few tips and tricks on how you can sell your clothes to Plato's Closet and get the most money! I love nothing more then cleaning out my wardrobe and starting fresh every year and I found that selling my clothes to Plato's Closet sometimes can be a rather hard thing to do. I have picked up on these tips over selling my clothes time and time again there so here are my best tips on how you can sell yours. In the video, I include my favorite tips and hacks on how you can walk out of the door happy every-time. Just remember these are suggestful tips not solutions!

Hi there I went to my local Platos Closet store to sell some of my clothes I don't wear anymore they were able to take a couple of my items, this video helped me a lot thank you
My favorite tip you mentioned was to be nice. I work at a Plato’s and some people are sooo rude like ma’am I’m just doing my job and I have to go through tons of bags everyday for 6hours or more a day
Please be nice to any workers
Also if you’re rude then why would the employee want to take your items

Love you video such good tips! I am a full time reseller and I personally love selling on Mercari ( if you haven’t tried it, it’s amazing!) However there are always items that are in great condition that never sold. I have recently been looking for other alternatives never thought about selling them to platos closet. Yes I know I won’t be getting as much profit but I will be clearing out for new inventory & I will also be doing less work!

Mercari is a great website I have used them before! I love bringing my clothes to platos first then listing them on a app like mercari to save me time! :) I wish you the best of luck!!
Gosh! you seem like such a sweet person, like wow btw I bring my clothes in one of TJMaxx reusable bags, all their bags are SOOOO pretty and they are only 99cents and they are HUGE! I have a couple floral girly pink and blue flower ones I bring it makes your clothes look a lot nicer when your selling them

I really enjoyed this!! I'm 40 and just went back to my parents house and cleaned out my vintage clothes took them Plato's and made great money for clothing I was going to.yhtoe away

Not sure if this is different in other areas but my Plato’s closet will NOT take clothing if it is in a garbage bag. They only take clothing in a reusable bag, tub, bin, or box
I'm a Plato's Closet employee. This is how the buy process works; if we see an item that we want to take, we enter the brand into the computer and it gives us an estimate on how much we should sell it for (based on condition, popularity etc.) Once we have that estimate, we will buy it from you for a third of the price that we'll sell it for. That's why you don't get all that much for your clothing. Don't expect to make bank at Plato's unless you have a whole lot of items that are in great condition and are popular. If you're looking to make a lot of money, I'd honestly suggest that you sell your things on Poshmark, Mercari, Depop etc. Also, you can always bring your stuff in and see if the money they give you is good enough for you. You can always say nevermind and you'll keep them

I went to Plato today and I brought a top from Zara with the tags attached that wasn’t selling on Poshmark and they didn’t take it! So confused
Not sure if you’ll see this but what if you cropped some of your clothes ?
That’s a good question! I have actually cropped some items and they took them but once again the crop has to make it look like it is meant to be there and natural nothing badly done or anything like that
