    You are so blessed, I was at your company ( midwest-HUGE Hub)...300 part-timers and mandatory OT... You work five days a week...five to six-hour shifts. Many of us left and transitioned to another airline. So happy that you are doing great.

      @@TheBohemianTraveler Hello how are you doing.l have a question and want an advice. I have a f2f interview at JetBlue for the position of airport operations crew member. But l’ m super stressed. Because l have a langage barrage. I am French speaker with a level 5 of English.sometimes l can take time to answer because words don’t come quick. Do you think l can do the interview and the job too ,because l am not fluent at speaking . Thank you

      @@tinadiagne373 of course you can! Just be prepared with your interview questions. Make sure that you have specific answers prepared. I would practice it over and over again. For instance, if they ask you, what is a time that you had to deal with a passenger who was angry, have an answer for it ahead of time. Things like that. I would Google airline interview questions. The fact that you know French is a huge bonus. That is so awesome. Use the fact that you are bilingual to your advantage. I hope you get it. Let me know what happens!

      I canceled the interview with regret. if I had read your reassuring answer, I might not have canceled. The job it’s going to be challenging even those l have 7 years of customer service.Especially doing public announcements , I don’t think I can do it with my language level. having interactions with customers who may not have the patience when there is also a language barrier. If not, for which airline and which position would you suggest I apply, taking into account my language level. I like working in the airline industry. thank you for all you do to help us.

    Recently found your channel and am enjoying watching back a lot of your vlogs! I am currently in college and hoping to do something similar to what you do in the future (FT job that pays the bills and PT CS agent job to work with planes and get flight benefits). So excited to hopefully be able to do this in the future. A little intimidated and unsure of where to start because I know you have to be super flexible in the beginning and I don't know how that will work. Are airlines pretty up front about scheduling if you ask in their interviews? I have plenty of service experience and I know that I really want to do this. Also, if your flexibility possible in a bigger base (like a hub)? Thanks for all your videos to help me!

    • @TheBohemianTraveler
      @TheBohemianTraveler  2 роки тому +3

      Thank you for watching my videos.
      You’re doing the right thing by finishing college. Every airline is different and every situation is different. But you need to be super flexible at the beginning because you do not know what your schedule is going to be. And, when you go to the interview, they will expect you to know that your airline schedule comes before any other commitment. It gets easier with time and more flexible because of the seniority.

      Do you mean work from a different airport? Or travel? Yes, you can travel out of a different airport. You would only work out of a different airport if you were helping them if they are short. Generally it’s called TDY.

      Congratulations on your interview! I hope you get it! The flight benefits are great. You can have one enrolled friend if you are married/domestic partner and two if you don’t have one. So they can travel around the world with you. Your parents travel for free as well as your future children. Just let them know how flexible you are and smile and be enthusiastic. Also, generally it’s about five to six hours or so a day for part time.
