From someone at the hub, don't give up on us yet. Out Part time can seem a bit like fulltime, but if you can get a bid buddy, this airline can be an amazing place for people with 2 jobs. We've all been there, doubting if we can keep doing it. Just remember you work for one of the greatest airlines the world has ever know, and there is no limit to the opertunities this place brings. Thanks for being such an inspiration.
I just got hired at Spirit airlines in Fort Lauderdale, Florida but I’m planning to keep my first job as a part time and other job as a full time including overtime. Also I’m planning to work from Sunday thru Thursday at the airline from between from 9 or 10 am thru 8 pm. So that way I could go home and get some sleep.

How are you doing now since you started working for the airline? I am a RN, too, trying to figure out how I can make it work. Please advise. Thank you.
@@yolandatynes375 Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. It wasn’t a good fit. I would encourage you to try, it may be what you’re looking for. The perks are great if you enjoy traveling
@@linevemlewis4242 Oh, know...I am going to try. If I can make it work, I will, but if not, I will end my employment and continue to do what I am doing. Thank you, and I wish you all the best.
Thank you for this update video. I may have take a year leave of absence, get my training done and some seniority under my belt then make the airport my primary job (part-time hours) and return to my current job on availability only in order to make this work.
Thank you for the update. I was wondering about your job at the hospital, after you changed Airlines. The best to you and your family. Congrats on your son's graduation Parent of Airline Employee in CLT.
Love all the information you always share. Delta is hiring seasonal ramp agents in SFO, not sure if thats close to you. Seasonal is the best way to go if you have another job. Seasonal with Delta you’re only required to work 150 hours per year. A lot of teachers work seasonal during the summer and Christmas time. Most of the need is in the summer.
That’s awesome. Thank you so much for all this great information. I know it will help others. San Francisco is far from me. I live in Southern California. Have an awesome week!
I have a part time schedule with my airline, I have a second job and they are so flexible with me that I can give them my monthly schedule and they can work around it, I’m just waiting for my airline to get a full time job and drop my second job because I have a 2 year old and it gets a little complicated with sleeping schedules so it all depends on the lifestyle. Love your videos 🥰 also thinking on making a UA-cam Chanel but I’m not sure hahhahah any pointers. Take care 🥰
Thanks for watching my videos! Yes, it will be so much easier when you can just focus on one job. Hoping a full-time will open up really soon for you. My advice for starting a UA-cam channel is just start. Most people like it when you are real and not rehearsed. You don’t need to have it perfect, just do it. When you start the channel, let me know, and I will subscribe.
Nice to hear from you again I was wondering where all your videos are Uncle left Southwest he is now with American airlines Southwest wasn't a great company everything they say are lies they found out they have a huge marketing department in Dallas Texas that constantly gives reviews to keep them being listed as the greatest airlines to work for and to fly all fake anyway nice to see your video again congratulations to your family and graduation take care looking forward to future videos
The airline I work for is 30 hours per week for full time at our station. We CAN get "Mando'd" and get our shifts extended based on operational need, but this is also based on seniority, so they start at the bottom! I'm full time with 30-40 hours per week and I can't imagine having another job with this one, but maybe in my younger years haha!
Just got hired with Unifi/Delta Global Services but have applied for a Delta seasonal position also as that would be perfect for me and my schedule. Hoping it all works out 🤞🏾
I’m in the process of trying to make this happen. Can you tell me what hours you had for your FT training with a few mainlines you’ve worked for? That’s going to be my issue with my current FT. I hear sometimes they have afternoon training available
Every airline is different. Some airlines I had to go away for a few weeks and train for 40 hours a week. And my most recent one, I had full-time training and shadowing for a month.
Do you know, or have every met someone who solely works as a full time Ramp Agent...and enjoys it? Seems like most people try to get in as a part time worker only for the benefits. I got accepted for a position with American Airline, but training would of been about 6 weeks with hours that conflicted with my full time day job.
Yes! I know many people that work Ramp as afull-time agents and make a good living doing so. They have homes and cars and go on vacations and live a normal middle-class lives.
Thanks for sharing this info! Hoping to get in with Delta myself. How long does it have to be 3-6 hrs 5 days per week? At what point are you allowed to start adapting your schedule or bidding on it? I sure don't want to spend 5 days per week getting up, getting ready, driving to and from work for just a few hours per day. I'd rather get it all out of the way and work a lot of hours at once in a few days at a time.
Great question. Every airline is different. It is generally between 2 to 6 months you have to follow their schedule. And after that, you can start stacking shifts. Some airlines allow you to do it right away. And some don’t. Also, in my experience, I’ve always been able to bid right away. But I’ve had other friends who had to wait until they finished on the job training to bid. You can make it work. The time goes by so fast.
@@TheBohemianTraveler Thank you for the info and for the words of encouragement! I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and I will keep this in mind. I'm hoping to get a job as a ticket or gate agent.
It is a permanent position. You just have a max number of hours you can work per year. It’s between 150 and 800 hours a year. You have the exact same flight benefits as a normal employee. And they just work you when they need you-generally during the busy times. You may work 30 to 40 hours a week for three months and then be off the other nine months. It will totally depend on the station.
Thank you so much. Keep applying. And double check your résumé. Make sure it is customer service rich and tailor it towards the job you’re applying for. Good luck!
Delta is hiring seasonal ticket agents at DCA and IAD. Seasonal only requires you to work a minimum of 150 per year usually during the busy summer months. Training is usually about 4-6 weeks. I don’t know if that would work for you. If you ever see delta hiring for seasonal cabin experience agents, that training is 2 weeks.
Every airline and every station is different. So I’m not sure. In my case, it was four months to be able to start doing trades and six months to finish up probation

Yes!! This! Oh my goodness. Thank you for this comment! You are so right. And there’s so much flexibility if you are creative with your shifts.👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
How does constant training impact your full time job?

Not really. I know many plus size Ramp agents. Many of them are Super strong.

I applied a few times but was never offered an interview

Could you work 2 airlines at the same time
With my current airline I cannot. I have to . With my other airline, people work for two different ones.
So I’m starting college in DC in the fall. I have always wanted to work for an airline and want to do so while in college. Do you have any advice?
My advice would be to focus on school and when you graduate, your schedule will open to be able to apply for the airline.
