Awww love the new doggo. We (me) give our pets human names too. We had 3 turtles called Dave, steve and barry. I used to have a dog called kevin and we had two love birds called Pete and carol. Human names makes it so much funnier. Only reason our current doggo doesnt have a human name is because we adopted her when she was 2, so her name (Beau) was already well established and would just be awkward for her to adjust to a new name.
You can’t hate ordinary people because of where they’re born .Its the English upper crust who believe for some reason they are superior, but then how often have the Scottish noble families betrayed us
The political situation in the UK is very biased, the Welsh, the Scots and NI have there own parliament/assembly, the English don’t! The Welsh, the Scots and NI can vote to leave the Union, the English can’t! The Welsh, the Scots parliaments can veto certain laws and act plus they can add additional laws and acts that they vote for, the English don’t have that! The 20 most deprived areas in the UK are all in England and yet England is meant to deprive and oppressing the ok the UK! The Welsh, the Scottish and the Northern Irish all have a say in all matters regarding England but England doesn’t get a say in all their politics.
Scotland voted snp Wales voted labour N.ireland voted sinn fein ENGLAND VOTED THE TORY CRIMINALS IN POWER OVERSEEING THE DESTRUCTION.. SO YES ENGLAND IS TO BLAME FOR ALL THIS ENJOY HUMAN WASTE IN YOUR WATER YOU DESERVE IT
England don't get a say are you demented.. Alistair jacks just shut down trans laws in Scotland because England said so.. Who Denys Scotland the right to leave a so called voluntary union ohhh yeah the english
What a load of shite. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all got their own governments because they were sick of living under english rule. England still has the biggest say as they are the biggest country. The english(uk) government are still more favourable towards England. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland all need independence from England.
A London court makes a judgment of a Westminster law brought in by 533 English Westminster MPs that the Scottish people from the country of Scotland cannot hold a democratic vote to decide their future unless the 533 English Westminster MPs that the Scottish people don't vote for agree. If the 533 English Westminster MPs that the Scottish people don't vote for continue to block the Indyref2 vote then it's a forced union. The 533 English Westminster MPs are trying to take away the Scottish people's rights of self determination. Westminster tried that in Ireland and look how that turned out. Westminster in London is effectively the English parliament with 533 English MPs. With boundary changes the numbers of English Westminster MPs is increasing to 543 English Westminster MPs. The Welsh MPs are being reduced from 40 MPs to 32 MPs, the Scottish MPs are being reduced from 59 MPs down to 57 MPs and Northern Ireland has 18 MPs. The Scottish people haven't voted by a majority for the Tories since 1955 yet keep getting Tory governments and policies. In an independent Scotland the Scottish people would be governed by the government that they vote for and not be governed by the government that a neighbouring country voted for.
It's mutual we all hate each other, it's always the fault of the English, we don't mind, got used to it over the ensuing centuries. Their argument over independence will be resolved when they adopt the Giro as their currency.
If and when we get our much needed independence, it's the English who will be using the giro, because their thieving government won't be able to steal from us anymore.
Most Scots don't hate the English, its a tongue in cheek joke. However, if you are Scottish and you go to England, you'll probably get told that most Scots hate the English. I live in Greece and sometimes when I meet English people here, I get told "Ooh you dont like the English, do you?". To be honest, these stereotypes get very waring and the majority of people who say that shit to me have never been to Scotland. When it comes to not liking people from other countries, I think England wins that one.
I mean they say England but don’t actually say if they mean the UK government or actual English people :) When I actually see Scottish people being serious it’s usually them hating on the UK government and seeing it as “English” due to the English majority. Sometimes when I have prodded someone Scottish for info on why they would hate the current English people they start talking about the UK government and I’m thinking I can see your point but we also hate the UK government too 🤔 I’ve been to Scotland a couple of times and met a lot of Scottish people in England, never felt any animosity, they just treated me normally. I’ve only seen it in videos like this or online :) There was a Scottish lady who came into our shop once who told us about our ancestors forcing English on Scotland and the banning of kilts but she funny enough didn’t seem to be upset about it, just like she was telling us a fact and wanting us to learn it . Which I think is how it should be, do not understand when whoever they are, dislike certain nationalities for their history, like they weren’t there personally so where is the logic in that? I already knew about that part of Scottish and English history she told us about but I think some of my colleges didn’t, as Scottish or any other the other countries in the UK history isn’t (as far as I can remember) taught to us so in school in England so we have to go out of our way to learn about. I did but a lot of English don’t unfortunately. I think it should be taught in schools though but I suppose I could be completely misremembering 😅
@@OneTrueScotsman I’m personally for the union but I do think you should have a referendum and I will respect whatever choice you all make and support it. I do acknowledge that my reasons for the union are selfish though as I believe Scotland leaving will eventually result in the full break up of the union and even with Scotland leaving, it’ll make people who live in Scotland and myself who live in England poorer as a result. I also selfishly care about what the UK looks like to other countries and while I know our influence has dropped a lot, it’ll drop even more if Scotland leaves but that’s my very selfish take on it. I do think in the union we all have a better quality of life and I’m scared that Scotland Breaking away will change that. That’s my own selfish reasoning though and I’m aware it’s quite selfish though I do think Scotland will also have a worse quality of life as well as all other countries in the union. On the non selfish side of it I’m worried that Scotland leaving the UK will be like Brexit and have the two governments constantly at each others throats and things like borders, education, finance and all the other laws that will need to be talked about and decided between Scottish Government and UK government will cause such a political mess that I’m very anxious about. I do think with the correct UK political party in charge (not the corrupt conservatives) and with political changes with how the UK actually functions then the union could work but I do think how the UK currently functions is not working. However if Scotland does vote to leave, I will support it despite my anxious feelings. With how the current UK government is running currently I’m honestly not surprised by the views on independence. I will say I am kind of surprised by your “like some sort of villa” comment? Is this a remark about English people going on holiday in Scotland? Because even if Scotland gains independence we will still be doing that? Scotland is very beautiful so a lot of us like to go on holiday there but it’s no different to us going on holiday in any other places in other countries? Apart from of course the no borders aspect? I always loved Scotland’s landscapes and so even if there was a border between us, I do not see that stopping us from going on holiday there? If you mean a lack of knowledge of Scottish culture, history and languages, the majority of English unfortunately (it’s annoying to me how many English are like this) are like that in other countries as well that are not part of the UK, so that likely won’t change even if Scotland is no longer a part of the UK? I do want it to change but since I see a lot of English doing this with other countries around the world, it’s unlikely to change with Scotland leaving the UK. If you meant something else by the “treating Scotland like a villa comment” then sorry for misunderstanding and please explain more .

Ewan McGregors speech in Trainspotting sums us up perfectly. When the 4 lads get off the train, Renton sits on the bridge and states.... "It's shite being Scottish........"
I don’t hate any country. Generalising like that is just bonkers. There are things I dislike about certain countries but I realise they’re only a small part and do not necessarily represent the country at all.
I’m Scottish and find it a huge embarrassment how pathetically anglophobic a lot of my compatriots are. I understand being angry that the UK government is always dictated by English votes; it’s bloody infuriating and we are virtually disenfranchised. But to hate _all_ English people for that reason is nonsensical and prejudiced. Don’t blame Joe Bloggs in Upper Twiddlington, or wherever; they’re just an ordinary person like you are. The fact that our national anthem is all about beating the English in a battle 700+ years ago doesn’t help. Get over it! Why isn’t our national anthem about celebrating our culture and us as a country? We have contributed so damn much to the world and yet we’re still banging on about Robert the Bruce and Bannockburn. It’s tragic. The only exception is international sport, and that’s largely because we are subjected to the English media’s nauseating coverage. I genuinely love England and the English, but I can never bring myself to support them in a tournament, especially when it’s football. There’s always an expectation that England is going to do really well, even win, that is so bloody presumptuous and arrogant. You could be watching the first round of the World Cup and the commentators will be trying to predict who England might face in the quarter or semi finals - I mean, fuck off! I genuinely believe it’s the media that’s responsible for other corners of the UK not supporting England more.
I’m English. I love the Scots. Always have. If the majority of Scots want to leave the U.K. then I think we have to respect that. But I’d be very sad to lose them. The U.K. is a much more interesting and richly cultured place because of the Scots.
Good Evening Your Highness, over here in sunny scotland the c word is in very common use, its very descriptive and sometimes is the only word that fits, however it can also be used as a term of friendship , for example " I may walk into a bar and see a few of my buddies my greeting may go along the lines of "Alright cuntos , who is buying me a beer" with regards your loyal subject and subscriber , Sir James of Lanark

I briefly worked in Inverness in Scotland. So I was way up in the Highlands. I was born and raised in England, but my family was originally from Jamaica. I was completely unaware of not really hate but the prejudice some Scots had forbthe English. As an English person, I was blamed for everything from the beheading of Mary Queen if Scots to North sea oil revenues. When it first happened, I was so confused; not the prejudice I was used to. However, once I recovered, I pointed to the obvious flaw in their logic, that none of my ancestors oppressed anyone as they were enslaved at the time. In addition, I said even my white ancestors were oppressed because they were Irish Catholics sent to Jamaica as slaves or indenture servants escaping the potato famine. I made friends with a goth girl from the saw area of Glasgow as Billy Connelly. We had a laugh she looked out for me and told me not to worry about a bunch of in her words "sheep shaggers"
the English hate is mostly just in jest, but most of the real hate is with the government it's like Edinburgh & Glasgow, the hate towards each other is just patter, but there is the small few who didn't get the memo & take to far

I'm Scottish and I don't, nor ever have, " hated " the English ! At the risk of sounding a bit " offish " I dont particularly care for these kind of compilations nor the people who put them together. (not you Boomer ) Nationalism is a disease which is affecting Scotland at the moment and it has no place in Modern times. Patriotism is all very well but both Scotland and England are part of the UK.and should remain so. In the mid 1700's, our National Bard Robert Burns wrote - " Then come the day as come it may, it's coming yet for a' that - that man to man the world o'er, shall brothers be for a' that.!!!! It can't come quick enough for the good of humanity, and to hell with this kind of cheap crap !
@@leonrussell9607 The people who pushed multiculturalism and mass immigration so heavily were the Fabian society, who essentially created the modern day labor party through infiltration of the current one at the time of the 1890's. They were also against nationalism and wanted a world government. So it makes sense that the people who were against nationalism heavily promoted multiculturalism.
Get lost with that nonsense. "nationalism is a disease" Well let's get rid of the UK government and borders then, if nationalism is a disease. Or it is just Scotland that shouldn't be a country in its own right? "Scotland and England are part of the UK.and should remain so" Nonsense, and it's a union in name only. The English government recently took the Scottish government to court to prove that it's not a union, but a colony, by proving that the Scottish people have no democratic avenue out of the UK without the English government allowing it.

We're stuck with an English party screwing everything up even though we don't vote for them.

In Scotland and NE England, Barry would be called Baz
My dad was Glaswegian. I love the Scottish side of my family as much as the English side.
You can’t hate ordinary people because of where they’re born .Its the English upper crust who believe for some reason they are superior, but then how often have the Scottish noble families betrayed us

It's nice that those who did name England and the US. did it tongue in cheek , and so many had nice things to add.
We don’t really “hate” the English. It’s all in good fun really. Like someone else pointed out we have fought together in a number of wars
There's a reason a lot of the word fear the Brits. It's when we put our mutual intolerance aside and group together.
@@mrneutral8423 Nah. I don't care any more about other countries in Britain than I do the countries outside it.

The English are the only country that get to choose the UK government.
Ask an English man what's the best football team he'll say England. Ask a Scottish man the same question and he'll say any team beating England.
No Englishman thinks our football team is nice
😂😂😂😂
I mean they say England but don’t actually say if they mean the UK government or actual English people :)
When I actually see Scottish people being serious it’s usually them hating on the UK government and seeing it as “English” due to the English majority.
Sometimes when I have prodded someone Scottish for info on why they would hate the current English people they start talking about the UK government and I’m thinking I can see your point but we also hate the UK government too 🤔
I’ve been to Scotland a couple of times and met a lot of Scottish people in England, never felt any animosity, they just treated me normally.
I’ve only seen it in videos like this or online :)
There was a Scottish lady who came into our shop once who told us about our ancestors forcing English on Scotland and the banning of kilts but she funny enough didn’t seem to be upset about it, just like she was telling us a fact and wanting us to learn it .
A sizable portion of English muppet voters elected this govt and swung brexshite.
Boooo English government lol, I don't care as I ignore it all on what they so
@@OneTrueScotsman I’m personally for the union but I do think you should have a referendum and I will respect whatever choice you all make and support it.
If you meant something else by the “treating Scotland like a villa comment” then sorry for misunderstanding and please explain more
.

Awww

I’m English. I love the Scots. Always have. If the majority of Scots want to leave the U.K. then I think we have to respect that. But I’d be very sad to lose them. The U.K. is a much more interesting and richly cultured place because of the Scots.

@@GrowYourOwnGYO is that it ??? not a clue !
Nationalism is far better than multiculturalism
@@leonrussell9607 The people who pushed multiculturalism and mass immigration so heavily were the Fabian society, who essentially created the modern day labor party through infiltration of the current one at the time of the 1890's. They were also against nationalism and wanted a world government. So it makes sense that the people who were against nationalism heavily promoted multiculturalism.
Get lost with that nonsense.
"nationalism is a disease"
Well let's get rid of the UK government and borders then, if nationalism is a disease. Or it is just Scotland that shouldn't be a country in its own right?
"Scotland and England are part of the UK.and should remain so"
Nonsense, and it's a union in name only. The English government recently took the Scottish government to court to prove that it's not a union, but a colony, by proving that the Scottish people have no democratic avenue out of the UK without the English government allowing it.
