Scottish countryside is unbelievably beautiful. And don't ever be afraid to go anywhere in Scotland. People will chat away and help you. Especially in the highlands and islands. We don't even bother locking our doors most of the time. American tourists missed the train once so we invited them for tea (dinner) they had a great time and stayed the night!! They still email us at Christmas!!🤣👍🏴
Beautiful countryside and peeps 🇬🇧
Yeah I'm English and I'm up there a lot for work, I haven't had a nut dropped on me yet. Joking aside, I love it up there, the people are great.
Niiiice!! My house growing up was right beside the Kennacraig ferry to Islay and Jura, and the amount of people we let stay in our caravan that had missed the last Ferry was unbelievable! We had the same guy ask us if he could just call us and stay whenever he came back. I swear once you get out of the central belt everyone is just sound af!! We see it as a sport to be nice!! 😅
@@winkle1get that fucking flag away
respect for that guys
Congratulations on your engagement.❤
Yes Kevin bridges tours the UK about every 3 years and sells out quickly. I saw him In Birmingham which is 300 miles from Glasgow his hometown and was fully sold out. He really connects with the average citizen and you can tell he's never forgotten his working class roots
What's funny is that he's actually toning his accent down because he's being filmed. He actually does a great American accent when he wants to. Kev I.N. is absolutely my favorite stand up comedian currently, even though I don't catch every reference. I'm American, and one of the reasons I can more or less understand a Glaswegian accent aside of watching Limmy's Show is from reading Irvine Welsh (who wrote Trainspotting). His work is often written in Scots, and muppets like me have to read it out loud to understand it. Also I love Danny Dyer, but "prick's prick" is the best thing I've ever heard.
Fun fact Kevin Bridges comes to the Highlands often to test out his new jokes. He plays in wee hotel bars for like a £5 that sell out in minutes. Seen him twice locally. Awesome guy
No way really?
@@casecurityandelec Yeah, Billy Connolly use to do the same. My folks saw Robin Williams and Billy Connolly doing a stand-up show together for £1 at the Misty Isle in the 90s (hotel in the isle of Skye.)
@@iselldreams is there a way to know when this is going to happen?
@@casecurityandelec word in the village that they happen to be in at the time. It's how I found out each time.
That’s absolutely amazing
Look for the sketch of two Scottish guys stuck in a voice activated lift
ua-cam.com/video/HbDnxzrbxn4/v-deo.html
Kevin Bridges sold out all of his 16 shows in September 2022 at the OVO Hydro arena in Glasgow. The capacity there is over 14000. He is really popular over here!
Definitely watch 2 Scottish guys in a lift skit it is hilarious 😂😂
I'm a poncey English Muppet and I've pretty much been ok understanding the Scottish accent... Except for some real deep Glaswegian, sometimes! My bad! I'm a big fan of the writer Irvine Welsh and I read a great book of his called 'Glue', and, for the first sixty pages or so, I couldnae understand 50% of the Edinburgh slang. Got there in the end! Love the Scots ❤
There are people in Glasgow that don’t understand some people in Glasgow mate so don’t think it’s just you.
Cheers brother
If you struggle with the Glasgow accent, wait until you try the Aberdeen accent 😂
I’m from Ayrshire in Scotland and I feel like we use way more slang than Glaswegians
Please keep Kevin Bridges videos coming, he is one of the best ever from the UK
When he mentions Scottish football, the reason for the tension in the room (which he acknowledges) is that this was filmed in Glasgow and the football rivalry in Glasgow is intense to put it mildly.
I won't bore you with a longwinded explanation as to why that is the case but just take it from me there is nothing in American sports that comes remotely close to the intensity of the rivalry between Celtic/rangers (commonly referred to as "The old firm" ) in Scotland. It is a VERY touchy subject for any public figure to bring up, let alone a comedian.
Well, not just that, the tension really came from the time this was filmed. Rangers had just declared bankruptcy and been relegated down to the lowest level of Scottish football as a result. Lots of people probably thought he was gonna make jokes about that and that would divide the room haha. He is a Celtic fan after all, so is Billy Connolly. All the funny Glaswegians lol
Lets be honest nothing in American sports comes remotely close to the intensity of the rivalry between Crystal Palace and Brighton let alone Celtic/Rangers.
And they’re both hated by most FYI
@@paulmidsussex3409 LOL!
very true.
Rangers died on October 31st. Only celtic are an old firm. Rangers are a new firm. You're welcome.
Brian, when attending a football match shout "yay kick it in the goal"! They'll love you for it😅 especially at Leeds! Much love keep smiling ✌️♥️🇬🇧
This was filmed in 2012 in the SECC ( Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre) which held about 10,000 or thereabouts.
Some of the references have dated now. "The Pope's a Bundesliga man" is a reference to the fact that the Pope at that time was a German (Pope Benedict XVI). The "Bundesliga" is the German equivalent of the "Premier League"
The reason for the "Feel the tension in the room" line is that earlier in 2012 Rangers Football Club had suffered some erm "financial difficulties" shall we say and owed the UK tax man in excess of £100 million as well as many other parties (including a face painter!) and to bring this up in front of a Glasgow audience (of whom probably 50% support rangers) would honestly be like bringing up '9/11' to a New York Audience in 2002. The entire crowd are thinking "Where are you going with this Kevin...."
hmm quite a bad analogy between rangers fc dying and 911
The scenery in the Scotland is the best fact
He was on about the team. The football team themselves owed about £40 to a local facepainting company.
Scotsman here, congratulations, as Kevin bridges said “that’s why we die so young” talking to people that are not from Scotland ….it’s exhausting! 😂
Loving your videos. I am Scottish, and enjoy your reaction to the comedy in Scotland. The chewin the fat, Star Trek video was fun to watch.
Going to watch your Harry Enfield videos next as found his shows hilarious too.
You mention the scenery in Scotland. If you do get a chance to visit Scotland, you need to do the North Coast 500 (NC500). The places you see around there are stunning.
Much love from 🏴
Scotlands in da house 👍 we are stunningly beautiful.😂...and the sceneries no bad either ⛰️🏔️ and the weather is....well,..just Scotland....4 seasons in a day stuff ❄️🌨️⚡🌬️🌞
You guys need to watch a Scottish sitcom 2 Doors Down it's Bloody Hilarious 😂😂😂😂
I was at that gig and it was several thousand of us in the Ovo Hydro in Glasgow, and we don't generally paint our faces for football, it's more of rugby thing or international games, not domestic leagues
So love you for reacting to this ya big muppet!
This Aussie has visited Scotland five times and spent about a year in total there.
You should go and visit.
Please do more.
I never get bored of his stand up.
Man has me with tears in my eyes from pissing laughing.
You MUST watch Kevin's BUS STOP joke!! He gets heckled (nicely!) at shows to do this....😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
As a Londoner who used to be a long distance delivery driver, I loved going to Scotland, stunning, beautiful scenery. I also love the Scot's as they are proud, tough, down to earth people, similar to a lot of Londoners. I find the media make up a lot of the supposed anamosity between the English and the Scot's, in my experience it's mainly friendly banter and piss taking. Personally, I hope Scotland always remains part of the UK.✌️
I'm an English footy fan living in scottyland and it is nearly all friendly banter.
Don't worry, we will stay. The SNP are imploding and the only thing they've done is sow hatred, bigotry and Anti English sentiment. The Union will prevail.
When I was younger I was a bit anti English only because that’s where parliament sits and it’s easy to blame someone else. Thankfully I grew out of that and now appreciate our countries shared history and achievements. I say we’re better together 🏴🏴🇬🇧 oh and if you live next to someone for long enough your bound to piss them off now and again 😂
@@kirkdavidson7729 well said buddy. Most English working class people are anti Westminster 😁 I fully support that you, Wales and NI have their own government, it's only fair.
@@maximus6622 takes a wee while to get that braveheart shite out your system 🤷♂️😂
Don't apologise for not understanding our accents as 98% of the UK can't either, with maybe the exception of the Northern Irish as we're pretty much the same people.😂
Our frustration & sometimes fun is to be had with voice activated bots like Alexa. She just hasn't a clue what were saying, every Scot will back me up here.😁 Search for the comedy sketch Scots in a voice activated lift.(elevator) Its hilarious man.😂
Eleven....Freedom!!
You should try and watch the overdue catch up tour. Think that was in the Glasgow at the ovo theatre 14k capacity....
Nice to see stand up reactions back on the channel.
That documentary he mentioned is real. It's worth a watch, will help you understand the Rivalry
He mentioned Danny Dyer. The guy who got moment of year on TV a few years ago when live on TV he called David Cameron a twat 😂. Watch the clip it's hilarious, David Cameron was a UK Prime Minister
I love it when these are recommended. Watching the struggle.
As a fellow Bankie born and bred I have no difficulty understanding Kev I N... :)
LOL I know what you mean about turning on the closed captions. I did that a few years ago just to see what would happen as I'm Scottish. I found out closed captioning doesn't understand us either and if you try to follow it that way, it won't work but funny as hell. 🤣
Congratulations to you both from Wales! Queen Boomer is a lucky woman!
Wishing you both all the happiness together. Congratulations. Keep up the great videos. Love from the UK 🇬🇧 😊👍
As a Scot, your final words made me blush. Thank you.
I live in the North near Manchester and even I find the Scottish accent hard to understand but depending what part of Scotland but they have a great sense of humour. You have a great sense of humour....for an american 😂😂😂 and QB she seems a great laugh to. Anyway great video
You need to check out Kevin Bridges, 90s house parties, hilarious… congrats again 😊
Big hello from Argyll, Scotland....KB has softened his accent...he's from Clydebank, their accent is thick with slang...and your comment about football fans wearing face paint to games only happens at international games🏴🏴🏴🏴
I did struggle with his accent and I'm a Scot. But I'm from the posh part (Edinburgh).
Salt and sauce😂😂😂😂
Not all of Edinburgh is posh!
The face paint was probably not for the staff or the fans but they probably had a children's party.
Sending lots of love to my MacMuppet. Get the family over here to Scotland ❤❤xx
I walked by Kevin bridges today in Glasgow Airport 😂
I'm guessing this was record in the Scottish Exhibition Centre in Glasgow... home gig for the man. Holds 3000 or so
Scotland loves u back mate 🏴❤️
Chad Hogan baby.....DO IITTTTT 😂😂
King Boomer , as an Englishman it's sometimes very hard to understand the Scottish !! 😂.
Brilliant pal
Many congrats to you KB and QB (or Conservative Callie as I now think of her). So the worst we'll be able to call junior now is a muppet ?!
Scotland and England played the first international game of football against each other, before it spread around the world. But despite the modern game being developed here, we both suck at it.
I'm not a fan of it, to be honest. But it's a religion here. Pubs and football over here is like guns and church in the US.
@@Stoner-cm7ql It's all relative though.
Given the population of England, England are terrible at football when measured against nations of a similar population.
1 WC win & 1 European Championship runner-up.
How does that compare to Germany, Italy, Spain, France?
We've also been blatantly robbed.
If you die on the stage in Glasgow they will let you know.. tough people but good as gold. 👍🤠❤🙏
He is popular but he's playing in Glasgow, which is the nearest city to Let's hometown of Clydebank.
I love Kevin Bridges, when you’re Scottish his comedy is so relatable
Im Scottish, and you're right, subtitles are awful at translating us, I watch a Scottish comedian/twitch streamer called Limmy a lot, and sometimes I'll put subtitles on just for shits and giggles 😅🤣
I'm from Glasgow and I can't understand half of the accent 😉
That was held in the Glasgow Hydro a newish concert venue in Glasgow so it was his home town show. Think he did about 7-10 nights sold out.
You should watch Danny Dyers “The real football factory’s”
That’s the documentary he was talking about
Basically an actor who played a football hooligan in a film called the football factory goes to see real football firms
Depends on your tolerance for the Cringe factor.
I’m from Glasgow - and I find Kevin Bridges hard to understand !!! 😊😊😊😊 💫💫💫
Dae ye, aye?
Another short clip of him, and 1 of my favourites, type in Kevin bridges vaping into youtube.its only about 4 minutes, but its great
£40 for face painting 🤣 Mon the Rangers 💙
I watched another American react to this, and he said he did a brilliant British accent😂
Yeah I laugh at that too mate 😂 Technically... He is right but I don't think a lot of people in the US realise how varied a "british" accent can be and what countries are part of Britain 😂
@@graemegoddard7237 yes many don't know the difference between British and English. They say British when they mean English.
The fact he is British makes it even funnier.
I'm English I never want the Jocks,Welsh or Northern Irish to win it's as it should no problems with those wanting England to lose
Glasgow Rangers 1872-2012 RIP 😢
Craig ferguson is a Scottish comedian you'd have an easier time understanding. His late late snow is filmed in the states
Wish it still was
You just need to watch a few Scottish shows. "Still game" would be a great video to get use to the accent. i dont understand a word isa says most the time. Great series. So funny.
MORE KEVIN BRIDGES!!! HE'S GOT TONS OF CLIPS ON UA-cam.😃👍😅😄😃😁👍👍👍👍❤❤❤
Most British comedians pull crowds big enough to fill a stadium.
Hi KB, look up Kevin Bridges' experience of doing a gig in a prison. 'The Jonathan Ross Show'. This around the time his career really took off and he was only 23 when on with Jonathan Ross.
Talking of Scottish accents.Have you reacted to scottish voice activated elebator from tv show Burnieston, hilarious
Come on you boys in green!
Aye, congratulations to you both, pal or, as we say in Scotland, awra best!
Kevin gets maasive crowds in glasgow cos thats his home but i think he also does well in England too.
I'm an English football fan living in scottyland and the English league is the most watched league in the world, probably cos its the best, and Scotland is the total opposite. Punt and hunt it gets called.
Farmers league.
KB sold that place out for 10 days in a row ,,,,a record
Congratulations to the bride and boom 🤟❤
Kevin Bridges is a guy from Glasgow. Like London is not England, Glasgow is not Scotland. All over the UK there are regional accents that are "difficult". He wanna try Doric!
You should do a reaction to irish hurling
I'm Scottish, that's so sweet. But now I feel bad for the Welsh.
Scotland is my favourite country on Earth. I absolutely love going, it's unbelievably beautiful. The Scoyland-England rivalry is obviously centuries old but it's mostly good natured banter now.
facepainting at our ground is for kids, our mascot is a tiger, so kinda apt KB brings it up, youll see kids walking around with that on lol
OLD FIRM GAME The game between Glasgow Rangers and Glasgow Celtic. Basically, Protestant v Catholic.
Hehe
I was wondering where that compliment at the end was going. "Beautiful people....🫢☺️☺️
"In the comments" 😂😂😮
I don't know if you've seen it, but I think "Brassic" may be another UK series you'd enjoy - ua-cam.com/video/sdUTObNVpoE/v-deo.html
God bless you both, big love from Scotland 💚 🙏 Jesus is king 💚 🙏
Scotland is great for we have the high ground 😀
Yes indeed come and visit us here in Scotland ,we are very friendly and only try to eat you on the last day of your vacation

Have you seen 2 Scottish men getting in a lift and trying to tell the lift which floor they want?
I lived in Scotland for a while (I'm English), and the only time I got any grief was if there was an English/Scottish game.
Hi KB (Brian), If you want to catch the full essence of Football Matches here in the UK, Watch Man Utd vs Liverpool, Arsenal vs Tottenham, Chelsea vs Arsenal, Man Utd vs Leeds Utd, Liverpool vs Everton, Man Utd vs Man City, Arsenal vs Man Utd, West Ham vs ANY other London club (Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Tottenham, QPR (Queens Park Rangers), and you'll get what it means to be a supporter of your club/team.
Congrats on proposing to QB and becoming engaged. Long over due, but well done mukker, (that's not a derogatory term, It means "My Friend/Oppo/Buddy in military jargon.
Best to you and QB & Lil B ...
Dougie XX
For a Football reaction you could look at the latest addition to the Premier League, Luton Town FCs, home stadium. I'll say no more than that.
Nobody really paints face at a old firm game that's why it's funny. Glaswegians are all comedians. It's a funny place
Face painting is not particularly popular in UK football - especially with fans of Glasgow's Rangers and Celtic.
Kids might get their face painted for special games maybe but nah that's not a common thing, if I turned up for a standard game with me face painted as an adult I think I'd deserve a slap
oh boomer, Celtic v Rangers is a minefield
That show was done n recorded here in Glasgow.. he holds record for that venue most sold out dates .. we get behind our own here support them fully
As a proud English man I can say honestly, Scotland, if you EVER make it to a major championship again, I won’t be supporting you either! 🤣
Aw does that mean when a Scot wins their British and when they lose their Scottish. The Scots will really miss that. Cheers.

As a Scotsman living in Wales, your comments at the end warmed my heart. Thank you for entertaining us on the regular.
With regards to the face-painting, it was the club that owed £40.00 and not a fan, so not knowing why IS hilarious.
The beauty of football is a fantastic video, if you want something football based to react to.
