Grant, to get that dent out of the rim edge, use 2 small sludge hammers. Hold one hammer head on the dent in the rim. Hit that hammer with the other hammer. This method insures the force of the blow goes to the dent. The dent pops back out against the tire. 3 pound sludge hammers should work. My dad taught me that trick. We restore John Deere 2 Cylinder tractors in my area Sometimes the rims on these old tractors have a few dents in the rim edge and that is how we get the dents out. I really enjoy watching your videos. The videos are really interesting to see how farms operate out there in the Midwest.
497K subscribers! So Close! Write down the drain plug size next to it with permanent marker. Same with all frequently used bolts and nuts. Saves you time. Also, for example, write in your phone list app all the tools and sizes you use to change a tire on a pivot. That way you know what tools to put in the 4-wheeler.
It's wonderful to see that you both take the time to maintain your equipment after harvest. At our farm my wife thinks the season is over as soon as harvest ends and I should have the entire winter time to do that service stuff. She doesn't care much about the dirty work. More than once some of the equipment are still unserviced when planting season starts. There will always be something more urgent unless you do that stuff immediately!
There are a lot of "Wanta Be's" out there, but you and Grant are Thee Only True Farm Show on the Net. Your filming is to the point in expertise and ability. The rest of the crowd falls short in the ruts of your watering towers. Glad to see you've leveled them out for another season. You ROCK ! Keep on - keeping on. 🙂
It Such A privilege To be Able To Spend Time With L&G Thank You! So Much Laura For Making It Possible!! I Don't Know WhatI Would Do Without Laura Farms!! Videos!! Keep Smiling On!! 😀👍👊❤️
What a pleasant surprise to see your latest post on a Sunday afternoon. I so look forward to all of your posts where I get to see two other midwestern farmers doing very familiar things. You two are the best; and you remind me of farming with my late wife one state to the southeast of you in Missouri.
Correct. They are caused by "vent spews" in the tire mold. Uncured rubber is injected into the mold under pressure. To allow any entrapped air between the mold and the rubber, small holes are drilled into the metal mold. This prevents air bubbles or blisters on the tire.
I have changed oil in a lot of tractors and it is very easy to do most of the time ,you have a lot of room to do your job ,l always used a 5 gallon bucket Grant had a good idea how to use the fuel from the filters, most of the time I would put it the wood stove to help starting the fire . Thank you for sharing your videos..
Those filter spinning air guns are awesome. Be careful though as if the spinning nozzle hits the filter it will break. I’ve been through a couple nozzles.
I really appreciate the everyday maintenance you share with us. Farming is a 365 day commitment, everyday there is something. There is so much more involved than planting and harvesting. It truly is a Labor of Love. Thanks for taking us along.
I have followed and enjoyed you both from almost the beginning of your channel! Just a suggestion, when you're working on the various equipment, particularly "underneath," PLEASE consider wearing safety glasses! Protect those pretty green eyes Laura (and Grant too), I can guarantee, you can't replace those "parts" at the John Deere parts counter!
Speaking as a farmer I'm afraid safety is rather stupidly the last thing many of my fellow farmers think of. Despite many women being involved it's still a very macho industry and safety is for softies 🥲 Not entirely 100% true for everyone but very much when push comes to shove at busy times. I was more concerned she wasn't wearing a dust mask whilst cleaning the filter as dust is a major problem. I can't say I've ever seen a mechanic or farmer using safety glasses for a service myself. Having needed eye surgery myself after an accident, I'd say you've given me something to think about. Greetings from Scotland 🏴🇬🇧
Oil dump valve can be helpful for easy oil cheng each time.Grees gun tip-end cheng angle available, make easy greesing .May this tip helpful. Be blessed!
Another wonderful tractor blood transfusion episode. Yeah wear disposable gloves and eyeware around the fluids, as we all love Laura's eyes! Still very cute kittens. 🐈⬛🐈⬛ Looking forward to seeing the harvester power wash, scrub, polish and air blow-out video! There will be corn bits all through it! 🤠❤🔧🩸
Happy Fun Day Sunday Laura and Grant, seasonable warm November weather next several days down in Oklahoma with calm winds......sending you BIG WAVE in Nebraska with calm winds...always something to do at your farm, thanks for posting.
If you have a slow leak, you can always put some windshield washer fluid in it, down south, we would just say water, but where you live, you need the anti-freeze! Love you guys mean it! ❤ I didn’t know anything about a modern tractor until I watch this show, now I know that tractor weighs approximately 28,000 pounds, I also know the hydraulics on the rear are designed to pick up 29,750 pounds. See what you’ve done to me! 😂
Laura you can flip the wrench over on the filter cap, and it makes it a bit easier to reach. It definitely sucks bending a rim. Those rims are pretty beefy and hard to bend back.
You 2 are funny..jus 2 big kids playing with their tractor's dirt n grime n laughing the whole time..THANKS! I/ we needed that smile n giggle time!!! C ya on the next Video!! Meow!! to the " shop " security team, & Sgt. Pepper! 👍🐺🧙♂️🦊👍
Hi Laura and Grant. I enjoyed today's vlog and agree that the maintenance is every bit as important as the harvesting itslef. I have to admit Laura that I was surprised when you said you screamed very loudly at the sight of the mouse in the shops bathroom. A life long farm girl such as yourself should be very used to rodents, it made me laugh. That air filter cleaner your dad got you is very cool. In other vlogs when I've watched you or Grant blowing out the filter I often thought they shoulld have someting just like that device ... and now I see they do and didn't know it. Pretty cool and does a much better job. Have a great week ahead you two. Take care. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Good afternoon. I enjoy watching Grant and your videos. I was wondering if you were going to show the viewers Gages' truck. Keep up the good work. Thanks
Your right Laura. Maintenance is not as much fun as harvesting or planting, but I think it is just as important or more important that either of the other steps in farming
What I love most about your channel: Wholesome values. After creepy video, creepy video, scaring me, boring me, irritating me, flatlining my brain, I can count on you to provide a loving outdoor reality. Thanks. 😊Missing the new. Hope you are all okay!!
When changing the grease cartridge I pull the handle back and and to the side then put an Allen wrench in the hole to prevent the handle from releasing before I'm ready. this keeps it from pushing the tube of grease out before it is installed on the gun.
We now have a mother daughter cat pair, both Calicos. It is fun to watch Mom teaching her daughter how to catch mice. We live on a small lake in the woods, and critters get into the garage once in a while, but the cats do their job quite well.
Laura, you need to wear a mask and glasses, blowing out that filter with air. Keep the videos coming, it is always interesting watching your day-to-day activity. Love from Mike. ❤
Great vid! Almost to 500k!!! I have watched your whole channel including the lives! Started binge watching your dad’s channel 😂🤣 keep up the great work!
Extract the oil though the dipstick then change the filters, simple. You get more oil out (no need to pre fill the filters). You are making it way harder and messier than it needs to be.
If you not heard of it look into a Mr. Funnel, it is specially designed to filter out water, dirt, and debris from fuel. I run all my diesel through a Mr. Funnel from filter changes and then use the fuel in my diesel greenhouse heater.
Bonne continuation 👍👏😉🇫🇷
A good saying I learned, an inexpensive lesson taught you a expensive lesson, good to put things where they belong one thing most of us are guilty of not doing at times.
This is actually just as interesting as the other videos. Knowing what goes in to making these monsters move is equally impressive. Thank you both for keeping us informed also. By the way, the cats always add to the video.
I don't know if you have one, if not you might want to get one. Port-A-Power There are several attachments that go with it. A Port-A-Power could push that bend out without much effort. btw The bucket can be pushed back into shape, pretty much. Get it good and warm first, it's much softer and easier to "fix". I know, it's just a bucket. Buckets are expensive though.
Good job - you really look like you know what you are doing - I would be interested in the total cost of all the components you used in the maintenance and how many hours between maintenance - from what i know, you will spend most of the winter getting the equipment ready, s keep taping the maintenance as you can. You two look good in grease
Laura Farms John Deere tractor has been my favorite though here in our country it's expensive to purchase because few farmers can purchase them. I wish to see my self one day own one.

Damn it. I just wrote this.
Exactly what I was going to say! Keep a black and a silver sharpie around just for this....👍👍
You Guys are a awesome Team😂😂
Paint marker works too yellow is my preference but black on yellow 💛
Note to self: check wind direction prior to filter cleaning. :)
Better yet, have Gage do it!
I like Grant's high tech tractor wheel realignment and balancing tool. A must have for every farmers workshop. 😂

You said a mouthful
Having worked on dump trucks for a while, I LOVE that air cleaner cleaner. Wow, that thing works great!!
i have never seen one of those air cleaner cleaners in aus .top idea and it moves a heap of dust . where do you get them ?
Totally enjoyed watching the video Llaura and Grant 😊

The little rubber things that got worn off of the new tires are called casting sprues. Enjoy watching your videos. Thanks.

T.Y. for sending out this post. I've missed you guys and gals!
❤ Thanks Farmers all across America...!!! ❤ You are appreciated...!!!!!!
It is always fun to watch you two work together. I shows what a good marriage is all about.
Hi Laura and Grant. Keep showing all your farming chores. I find them all interesting and enjoyable.
Those filter spinning air guns are awesome. Be careful though as if the spinning nozzle hits the filter it will break. I’ve been through a couple nozzles.
That black oil works soo well with those pretty nails, stunning!!!
I really appreciate the everyday maintenance you share with us.

Really enjoy watching you and your family farming for our great country. Look forward to next year's planting season.
You two are a great team ! Hard work and good management will prevail. God bless !
We got done combining corn today Nov. 13th should have been done sooner but thats the way it is.

The hard work is usually in the shop. Not a joyful job but a necessary one. Thanks for sharing your experiences both in the shop and the field.
So close to the 500k mark!!!
Always fun to see what is new with you!! Thanks for sharing your life with us!!😊
I took a weekend long family trip to Wisconsin and got to ride in a tractor just like yours Love your channel
Nitrile gloves do wonders when doing shop work... Also, if you get grease in a pail, it's way cheaper than the tubes

A+++ 😊🚜
I changed oil filters & diesel filters today on my fendt tractor 1000 hours on it. 😊😎
Hey one tip...whenever your trying to loosen a bolt always pull rather thsn pushing...you have a lot more leverage and strength that way!
Nice job getting a few things fixed . Still looks warm enough to enjoy the outside.

Hello, I use MCR 2xR in engine oil and I highly recommend it. A product that comes from home. Good to you.
Laura, if that wind gets any stronger, I'm gonna need you to stay inside or put some rocks in your pockets! Love your content!
Missed you all! Since harvest is over, its time to prep for the next drilling and planting right! 🤠
Well they look happy 😊 and loved ❤.
To change the oil more easily you can try a plug from femco or Aeroquip.
Drags out the oil when a hose is connected.
That was fun! Thanks for sharing. 🚜🚜🚜

Sledgehammer fix! Sometimes, that works great! Hit the sidewall, too! It's amazing how many times! That simple trick works!
Awesome video Thanks for sharing and bringing us along love watching your channel keep up the Great Work !!!!
Good afternoon. I enjoy watching Grant and your videos. I was wondering if you were going to show the viewers Gages' truck. Keep up the good work. Thanks

Your well on your way to 1 million subscribers. I haven’t watched a bad video.
Laura’s Insta Tractor Lube! Great maintenance video.
I just did all that exact maintenance on my John Deere 1025r yesterday, same stuff just on a much smaller scale.
Great team.
Hard work and good managemen.
Every day check radiator coolant level, engine oil level & hydraulic oil level.
❤❤❤
What I love most about your channel: Wholesome values.
After creepy video, creepy video, scaring me, boring me, irritating me, flatlining my brain, I can count on you to provide a loving outdoor reality. Thanks.
😊Missing the new. Hope you are all okay!!
To be fair, Grant should have had the floor cleared before he opened the door and waved you in.
I love watching you guys work together. Strangely satisfying. keep up the good work!
Happy Thanksgiving Laura and to your family 🦃
Maintenance is just part of the deal. Glad it all went well.
When changing the grease cartridge I pull the handle back and and to the side then put an Allen wrench in the hole to prevent the handle from releasing before I'm ready. this keeps it from pushing the tube of grease out before it is installed on the gun.
Love a girl when she gets her hands ✋ 💕
Loved it,great video,I looked forward to the everyday type of video😁
Hi again. I watched the tool show on friday on UA-cam. Channel lock has four different new sizes with quick release grips plus pipe wrenches.
For every job there is the right tool isn't it Laura wow the kittens are so cute Excellent video Laura
SUPER ENJOYABLE VIDEO!
We now have a mother daughter cat pair, both Calicos. It is fun to watch Mom teaching her daughter how to catch mice. We live on a small lake in the woods, and critters get into the garage once in a while, but the cats do their job quite well.
You guys produce the best videos on YT.
Always put drain plug wrench size on a list by the filter supply get filter plug wrench and filter wrench all in one
Grant is a natural easygoing guy.love the videos.pepper is a darling.you guys deserve a good dinner night.you have worked hard
Make sure to use your lock on the filter blaster or the metal fingers will hit the bottom of the filter and break off. I’ve done it. Great videos
Laura on your 8335 it looks like you have a nut missing if your in the cab it would be the left side bye the drain plug you fixed.
Laura, you need to wear a mask and glasses, blowing out that filter with air. Keep the videos coming, it is always interesting watching your day-to-day activity.
Love from Mike. ❤
Hi Laura and Grant just saying a big hello from Australia only recently started watching and I enjoy it so much
Great vid! Almost to 500k!!! I have watched your whole channel including the lives! Started binge watching your dad’s channel 😂🤣 keep up the great work!
Laura, You are within 60 of Cole. Go Girl! with the 500K he had 557K you are amazing
Always something to work on when you are a farmer!❤
Try using a small bottle jack or similar jack inside the bucket to pop the caved-in area back into place.
LOVED THE SUNDAY VIDEO U TWO - GOD BLESS

That bucket will bounce back to shape......The memory will bring it right back.....you have to pop it back out though!!!!!
Love to see maintaining
Apply force 90 degrees to the wrench for maximum efficiency.
Do you recycle/reclaim the fluids? And if so, how do you do it?
Laura+Grant=Super Team !!

Have to do the maintenance on the rigs to make them last!!!
new t-shirt slogan...."It'll work for today!"
Cant wait for the next vlog!!
Laura is indeed a unicorn! Nice catch Grant! My hat is off to you. 🦄
Some help is to use grease on the bead if its bent a little

Good job on your farm and I Love this video good job

Cool. Didn’t know Laura was a vaulter!
Laura Farms John Deere tractor has been my favorite though here in our country it's expensive to purchase because few farmers can purchase them. I wish to see my self one day own one.
What Grant should have said is, "I forgot to get this bucket and tool out of your way!"
I love how Laura doesn’t mind getting dirty grease dust doesn’t matter she just dives in
