One of the most beautiful cooking videos ever. The incredible atmosphere during the process and my feeling was like I was there with you, tasting and smelling the air. Amazing shots and this concept of cooking, tasting in nature is unique in your design!! Thank you and of course I am going to prepare it for my family!!! Wonderful 🙏😇👌
I mean, guys. *When the hell are we getting a TV show?* For quite a long time already, these videos are no longer just recipes. The cinematic editing, beautiful landscapes, fantastic vibes, stories and culture.... I truly could watch your content all day long Gaz. The teamwork pays of as this channel is simply EXTRAORDINARY!
This is the most wholesome, beautiful feeling i’m getting from you guys in this video. I love how well you and Tom’s mom bond and seem to have such a natural flow together, I would absolutely love seeing more like this/her back on the show! Also the views in this were 10/10. Overall felt like I was right there with you guys
Oh wow, Gaz & the team are playing some Eritrean/Ethiopian music in the background. Big things. So honored to hear our cultural music shared with others. With gratitude!
Please have her back on the channel!!!!! My toddlers were so delighted watching, they kept saying "he's so funny", "where's his friend", and "I want to make that with you Emah" such a beautiful episode
Tom's Mom was so at ease and fun while sharing this special recipe. She's a natural! This satay looks delicious and I can't wait to try it out! I love the setting of your lush garden behind you while preparing the meal. I would LOVE to see Lee as a special guest again, sharing more Malaysian recipes & stories with you & us!
Tom's mom is super sweet! Her smile literally lights up the room! I try the dish using fermented shrimp and vermicelli noodles as I use it in my Vietnamese cooking as well and wow! Game changer! This my new favorite dish. Thank you Lee! 💞😊
Gaz & Tom I love you both so much, and Tom I adore your Mom!!! I literally am crying; my Mom died when I was 27. I would give anything to cook with my Mom again, to smell familiar food she made, to garden with her, and then climb a mountain! Thank you for your wholesome, comforting, and educational content! Honestly Gaz you are changing the world! I am so grateful for you & Tom & your crew! Blessings to you all & your lovely parents too Gaz!
I say that every time but this is the best mouthful of Avant-Garde Vegan I've ever had! That shot on the finished dish made me suddenly very emotional. I ended up crying when the welsh music cued in at the end. Gaz and the team, thank you.
OMG, Tom's mum is so sweet! She's a natural on camera and you both have great chemistry - she's been definitely my favourite guest so far (so yeah, please bring her back)! Such a shame the video didn't get that many views... it's a beautiful video ❤
Wow... cant believe a veganized Malaysian food. Gotta love the entire video here.. because am a Malaysian, and of course I am so proud of Auntie Lee and Tom. Thanks Gaz for bringing my country's food in your channel. Rojak is one of the best vegan food available in Malaysia and yumsss so much.

As a Malaysian, I could not be happier seeing our delicacies get featured on your channel. Hoping to see more of Lee and more of you trying out our foods (we've got loads so have a go at it! 😉)
Auntie so cute ❤️ The rojak also known as pasembor, or rojak pasembor. For added texture you could add some crunchy vegan fritters - which you can add shallots, more mung bean sprouts with Chinese chives. The texture will be just *chefs kiss Love from Malaysia 🇲🇾
YES!!! Please a come back with Tom's mom, such a beautiful vibe of all of you together and she explains very well, love the background storytelling also ♥️
Another great video! Tom’s Mom is so nice, such a gentle soul. It was also very inspiring and refreshing to watch, in a kind of symbiotic and respectful relationship with nature! I’ve loved this video! You never disappoint your followers 😊🧡😉🙏
I've made this today as I have guests for diner and got inspired by looking at it. OMG that sauce is amazing, I didn't have all the ingredients specially the paste ones, but with chilly flakes and honey I made it work. It's so yummy, thank you so much
I love this woman: confidently cooking with a smile on her face. In addition, she gives information about the history of the dish and the people who created it. I lived in Malaysia for a long time and I used to eat at the Buddhist-Taoist eateries and buffet restaurants which are all vegan! 🤗💖🙏😍😀😁
A nice decorative trick to do for dinner guests my Indonesian grandmother taught me is the following: boil ~1cm thick slices of tofu (tahu) with garlic and a scoop of turmeric/curry powder. Then, let the slices drain well before frying them. Just before serving, cut the slices up in cubes. The cubes will show a nice contrast of yellow/brown against white and people are often impressed. But it is some work and it doesn't add much to the flavour to be honest. If you prep a bit before, you can always but the slices in the oven for a while just before your guests arrive to make them crunchy again and slice them up just before serving. Another common thing to include in the peanut sauce are frozen lemon leaves (jeruk purut) into the peanut sauce, that is like lemon grass on steroids! Even frozen they give off a very citrusy smell.
My grandmother on my mother’s side is Javanese and this reminds me so much of Gado Gado 😍. It’s weird as someone growing up Dutch-Indonesian to refuse to have a hard boiled egg with her peanut sauce anymore.. But I’ve adjusted of course. One of these days I’ll make it to that part of the world and eat all the vegan food! 🤩 Thank you to Tom’s mom for sharing. 🙏
Oh my gosh. Everything about this episode is my new favourite! I love the dynamic between the three of you, Lee is such a natural in front of the camera… excellent content on every level. I’m so hyped to make this dish 🙏🙏🙏
This was so amazing, another one of your videos where I had the biggest smile on my face the whole time. So keen to see Lee again - such a sweet beautiful lady!!
Tom is so so amazing as a producer/editor and a best friend..feels like he makes Gaz's contents whole💕The whole dishes feels so fresh fresh now right from the garden 😋
This is one of the most heartwarming things I've seen in awhile, and this channel already has a lot of heart from your pure love of food. Tom's mum is an absolute gem (as is your dad), and she should definitely come back. Sadly, I'm allergic to peanuts, but I might give it a go with almond butter. Thank you so much for making this!
Hands down the best episode I've seen. Tom's Mum's spirit was everything! She lit up the camera, tell her thx lol. I love the wisdom, stories and this bomb ass recipe! A Win fa sho!

Check out Woonheng's channel too! Lots of veganized Malaysian recipes there.
My Dad was born there and I lived there for a few years, but then it was hard to find real vegan food… so excited for this recipe!
She just brightened up my whole day! Yes, please bring her back!
She is just so natural in front of a camera, a real pro with a real talent for cooking and inspiring!
