Hi Grace, I recently did the same thing with my house, using pictures, furniture, knickknacks and even switched curtains around. It really works! Easy, effective and very satisfying. This practice is also helping me to define my style and preferences in a more finite way. I really love the natural influences you incorporate in your decor. Can't go wrong with the beauty of nature at the core of your home. Great video!
Fantastic ideas Sarah! “Beauty on a Budget” or “Bountiful yet Balanced” Finding my decor from thrift stores and antique malls are definitely the way to have an adventure and not break the budget!
I love what you did. I recently went through a cleaning out phrase and realized I have so stuff that works in other areas of my home. The most important thing, I had fun playing.
Yes, home decorating for free is the way to go. It’s pretty neat to use my decor or furniture in a new way or in a different room…keeps my creativity flowing and as long as I don’t block any hallways, my hubby is good with it…🤣. Thank you for sharing…enjoyed it.
I appreciate these tips because honestly with the way the economy is going we can't afford to do updates or any new decor. Right now the focal point is homesteading and frugality.
I do this all the time and love it! I have so much stuff,I don't need more,so what I do from time to time is "update" with decor and furniture from other rooms. It keeps things fresh and makes me love the way my room turns out. Drives my family crazy, but as my husband says, "happy wife ,happy life" or my son,"happy mom, all is calm" !!
Thank you for espousing the fun of decorating with what you have. You present practical but stylish decor tips that can work anywhere. I am thinking of pulling out a dated round pine(ugh!) coffee table and painting it black. I think it would calm the formality of my living room while also keeping it out of the landfill. Please do that video of your office redo you mentioned and keep the inspiration coming!
Absolutely beautiful home! My own style is very similar. It makes me smile when I see you doing the furniture and rug swap outs by yourself! LoL I have always preferred to do ( within reason) that myself because it gives me an opportunity to try things out and see if it works with no pressure or judgement from the family😁 Those are excellent suggestions for refreshing a space... sometimes we go out and buy a bunch of small decor to make it feel new but it never solves the underlying issues of why a room isn't working for our family. Love, love these videos and hearing the thought process behind why something works or doesn't!
That’s exciting! All the details on the new flooring are here 😄 graceinmyspace.com/how-to-choose-a-flooring-color-thats-best-for-design-cleaning-function/#/
Thanks for being here! That’s a great question. In the beginning, it would take me much longer to figure out how things worked best together for my home. But practice makes a huge difference in the amount of time it takes because all of my past attempts are experiences I pull from so I know what I’ve liked and not liked before. So now it takes maybe 1-2 different tries before I find what I want. 😁
Yes I usually do this and I have people say oh you got all new decor you bought something new and I’m like no I just grab something out of another room
My house drives me nuts because my great room is not all that functional the way things are i have a free standing wood burning fireplace with black pipe right smack dab in the middle of great room. It just makes me scream in side and my husband dose not want to move it at all we have been in arguments over it. Lived in my house 20 years without moving my furniture well after Christmas 2021 the furniture did not go back in the same spot as it had lived for the last 20 years. Thanks
yes please show us the office :) I recently started working from home and am able to have my own office and could use some inspiration!
I would love to see what you’ve done with your home office. I love the fireplace it turned out beautiful 😍
Thank you so much!

Black paint can work wonders!! I bet you’ll love it.

I’m so glad it was helpful! And I totally agree, sometimes you just need to play and think on things before committing. It’s easier to do alone 🤣
Espectacular me encanta👌❤️
I you put a towel under your heavy furniture it slides easily across the floor without hurting yourself! ; )
Remodeling is so 🤑 Shopping from your home is so fun and challenging, but fun!✨👏🏻🤍
I agree! I feel like it forces more creativity and in the end it’s better than expected!
I’m a big fan of reusing my home accessories. It fits in the budget and you will be surprised with the results.
Yes indeed!
I just found your channel and I’m loving your videos. Curious what the little door in the wall in your office is…
Thanks so much for watching! That door is a laundry shoot to the basement 😁
I love your home! Can you give any info on your couch selections? They appear to be deeper seating and very comfortable…
Thank you so much! The green velvet is from Kardiel and the grey slipcover is from Article.
Suggestion: Pull those two white chairs apart (in the office) and put a small side table between them...a round one if you have one.
I do this all the time. It's so much fun. We're planning to replace the flooring in our home soon. I'd love to know what you used.

New subscriber here! 😊 I love this! I’m curious…. how much time do you typically take playing with decor before you get it the way you want it?
