May the Gods bless those who sip wine and bump that jazz.!! If only the world could relax like us. Roll up a fat one, smoke and pour you a glass and kick back like a boss. You deserve it.
I did not understand all the words that you wrote, but I think I got the substance 👍
wisdom of the gods...
Just like the old days. Its all coming back.
Who's still loving this in 2024. I hope you are all happy and healthy.
i like jazz music because it makes me feel more relaxed and comfortable when the covid-19 pandemic is making my life difficult..wish everyone reading this stay healthy and good luck in life. I Love Jazz Music
all we need is sunshine and good music
Evey-Awesome-Jazz-Band-People, Your Ancestors Up In "Jazz Music Heaven" Would Be So Proud of You All
Nowhere in the world can a person hear street music as good as what happens in New Orleans.
You sho right.
That's true! Glad I live here. 💗
San Antonio has great mariachi, Austin has some decent stuff, then Mephis and Nashville but yes N.O. is the best. American music was born in New Orleans.
Nashville is pretty good...
It's definitely on my bucket list to visit, because of the music
An amazing city, New Orleans. First and last time I was there, was in the early 90's. Drove down from Dallas for a weekend, with some new found friends from LA. Not enough time to truly see the City... Now, this Canadian may be going on a Road Trip soon... To spend some time in Boquete, Panama... Maybe retire there, and just in time for the 2020 Blues and Jazz Festival.. Taking my Harmonicas with me this time... And I just might stay in New Orleans for a bit.... Jazz, and Blues, and Rock and Roll.. New Orleans has it all...
This kind of thing is so foreign to me as someone who grew up in Hong Kong, which (don't get me wrong) is a vibrant city, but completely starved of any sort of color, creativity or wildness. I've watched this video at least 10 times in the past month because it's just fascinating.
This is Black culture from New Orleans. It used to be considered “deviant”. Now, apparently it’s “acceptable”.
👌😻👍
@@michaelwilcox5168 It's been more than "acceptable" for quite a long time now. It's much better than the "Black culture" is producing now.
This would be an illegal gathering in HK now
Move to America!
Absolutely fabulous and what an amazing singer, style, sass and POWER. No PA, No Mic. Just pure talent 👏👏👏👏👏❤️🌹
Every time I hear this, I feel such bubbling, effervescent, percolatin' joy
Can’t get enough of this song. The musicians are awesome...and the singer...lovely voice.
What joy! Beautifully filmed. Many thanks.
Hard to believe it's been 11 years.
Love revisiting❤ this clip!!
absolutely fabulous. That lady has an incredible voice. how i would love to be there and see it going on right on front of me. well done guys. cant get better than this, ever!
Wow. I love the vocals. Great show.
My first trip to New Orleans, years ago, I discovered these guys and Tuba Skinny on the same day, and it was easily one of the top 10 days of my life. When I watch this, it's like I get a feeling of homesickness for a place I've actually never lived. Like a part of me is only truly alive when I'm there. That's the magic of New Orleans.
Lucky people who could be there, on the street! What's not to appreciate, wherever one is percolating!
I love how the older generations of onlookers are dumbfounded that some 'kids' have such passion for this music. It almost brings me to tears.
These bands are recreating the early New Orleans sounds with their own style. Different singers, though, with very different styles - both great. Sarah Petersen is here with Smoking Time Jazz Club and Erika Lewis sings with Tuba Skinny, led by Shaye Cohn on cornet. It's really cool the way this music is catching on as if it were new. It'll never die!
Looks and sounds like a trumpet to me
@@anonymoususer4644 you’re responding to a 10 year old comment that seems to know what it’s talking about with a stupid ass comment like that come on
What a treat, wish I was there
That brought me too tears...Honest and full of heart, music! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
This keeps popping up in my feed. And i rewatch it every time it does.
Years go by and I still come from time to time to watch this video. I have the studio version and it's great, bu this... this live version is just ... I don't know how to say it. But it makes me so happy.
No one cares
@@ookalar665 well, you seem to care enough to read and comment ❤ thank you for that!!!
❤️ Excellentissime ❤️
There is so much going on. Was hooked the first second.
Thanks for keeping this great Clara Smith, (1894 - 1935), song alive, for another generation!
I love her voice sooo much!!
Fantastic
Very nice, and most different than I’am used to; here in the USA!
This is a terrific jazz performance! Love this group!
just how music should be played in the streets where it was born
perfect!
que du bonheur de la joie dans la rue la musique qui nous rassemble et vive le jazz
I'm so old I have actually used a percolater a lot, but it was never as much fun as these folks.
Thanks for the good Dixieland and soloist and dansing people ...familiar things on the street and the steamer..Brava !!!!!
A pleasant surprise to see Peter Loggins pop up when you least expect it!
That is just so cool & loose, they sound drunk but spot on at the same time!
When I hear this..........just speechless !!! Regards from Florent.(Belgium).Ciao.
I love it. Thank You. I used to be there, enjoying meanwhile I missed my family country, Spain.Now,10 years after, I miss New Orleans, my students, my friends and , of course French Quarter .Thank You again.
It's great to see everyone getting along and having a good time! This is what I want for America!
So much good music still happening in N'awlins - an American treasure. Fabuluous number, authentic but with feeling/
To put it simply
Its beautiful all of them. How they play
And that voice, wowwww mind blown
Every day should feel the way your music sounds! Thank you!!
I Love It A Lot
The worst they can do is spectacular.
This is my favorite video of jazz! I love the singer's voice and the line dance is great, makes me want to join in (I'm 70 and disabled). Thank you for posting it.
Saw these guys live on a school trip last month and every time we went past the street, you were instantly drawn to their music!
This’ll cure the winter blues!
Amazing.
Love me some New Orleans. It's full of musicians. It was so cool to see these guys on Royal Street and at the Spotted Cat Club.
What good musicians and what a lovely voice that Lady has! Brilliant. Love this Jazzband!
I fell into the UA-cam Vortex looking up something else entirely and found myself here - very happily so! I never really wanted to go to New Orleans - Mardi Gras was never my thing - but after seeing this incredible group and hearing their beautiful sound the wonderful voice of Sarah Peterson along with watching the period dancers at many of the bands performances, has compelled me to really want to get down to that cradle of jazz music (along with Creole and Zydeco types). I think I could wander the streets for days listening to all the fine performers, but Smoking Time Jazz Club would be my main desire to see - over and over and over! Jeez, like Tony the Tiger exclaims - THEY'RE GREAT!!
this is what i want to hear on the radio in my car
Enjoy watching folks enjoying music & then there is the vibes that reach into heart & Soul . Looking at the gear & then reflecting on how pure this street music is in comparison to the Music Labs makes you realize how good these folks are.
I just love this ….. Every time I´m feeling a bit down, I listen to this fantastic performance, and then I´m happy again ….Thank you Sarah, and all the others in Smoking Time Jazz Club and Chance and Gisella …
I didnt want this to end. Thanks for sharing.x
Same here. Would love to have been there......
This is such a delight! I will, some day, travel there to watch them live!
Awesome music and vocals - and so much fun to look and listen.

Michael Spencer Hey opa en oma,
Hier foto’s van ons district kampioenschap!!! Zware beker haha. In Amerika als je een kampioenschap wint krijg je ook shirts en petten!

Fell in love with those dancers just a little bit.
Smoking Time Jazz Club looks like fun to
hear...🐢🦊🐭
The cinematography and editing on this video are really quite good. The skills of the videographer make a good video and a great performance something extraordinary.
I showed this to some people at work and now they`re trying to percolate! #neworleans
Amazing
EXCELLENT!!!!
Great pipes! a real throwback voice Brava!
I like it. Good thing about being in this band is by the time everyone gets a solo the shows over. One song..,Thank you good night folks
Totally Awesome !
I was an American just for that short time , I'm still Percalatn 😁✌️❤️🍷🍷🇦🇺🦘
old Jazz at it's best....
She feels pretty, oh so pretty, she feels pretty and witty and bright ...
I love your music.
Greetings from Switzerland.
Very Nice. I dig it. The singer kills it
Love it. Best aspect of New Orleans.
I close my eyes and am transported to the early '40's ....
How artfully this video is shot really does a great job representing the feel of N.O.
This makes me so happy!!
Enjoyed the mood. And that voice made me travel back some decades. Kudos!
A lot of younger folk might not know that the "instrument" the guy in back was playing is a washboard---normally used for scrubbing clothes.
That voice... oh my dear god!! im in love!!
Excelent play guys!!!
Augusto Fiorella Comic MM.
Браво, ребята!!! Привет от музыкантов из России! ))
awesome band
i'm hooked! can listen and watch this video all the time..
Acabo de descubrirlos... y todavía estoy alucinando
jazz witchcraft!!! i can't stop playing this
Excellent
Love this...wish they'd visit UK, can't even find a CD here.
Wondrous delivery of a really evocative Jazz song,.... It has the ability to put a smile on a dead mans face.
I feel incredibly sorry for the people who feel so bad that they have to put a "thumbs down" against something this uplifting.
makes me homesick
me too and I have never been to new orleans
Thanks for posting this ,it provides some much-needed cheer to cold, gloomy lockdown England. The singer is sensational
wow! what a great load of fun! 😍🧙♂️💃🏻
what a wonderful music and atmosphere...I love youtube...
a lot of positive.Thanks
Great Grinns........Thats watt counts..........love it
Classic
I am fascinated whenever I see this band, by the thought of their backstage life. With a fairly numerous group there must be some dramatic stories in their individual and shared lives, as well as good friendships, and almost certainly some frictions at times. One things for sure; the musicianship is of a very high standard, and has given pleasure to great numbers of people.
For sure my favourite UA-cam download of all time
