Hi Kim, your stitching and projects are all so beautiful and you are so inspiring. I think it's great that you encourage us to pick a portion of a pattern that we really love or just stitch the elements of a chart that we love. I also love your project bags made out of placemats, such a great idea. Last year, I found a huge quilted table runner at a thrift store and just folded it, sewed in a couple of seams and made a few adjustments so that I could add a velcro closure and made a simple project bag out of it. Thank you for another wonderful video.

I love Samplers. You need to do the samplers how you want to do them. Enjoying the stitching to me is paramount. Our time is short, stitch what you love. Annie.

Just catching up on my Flosstube watching after lots of traveling and a long busy week of work. Loved hearing how you decide what to stitch and what colors of fabric and floss you use. That is a great idea for some quick and easy project bags and yours look great! I wish I were going to The Attic this fall, but I have traveled a lot this year and need to stay home for a bit. It was interesting hearing how much your husband notices your beautiful stitching. Wishing you safe travels and a great time at The Attic! Going to watch Ms Flossie's video next! Happy Stitching! I love how your Scattered Seeds pinkeep finished up! Adorable! I really like her bird pinkeep designs😊. Thank you for sharing your stitching philosophy regarding process stitching/product stitching. I fall into both camps as well. Of course, my problem is once I'm done with the stitching, it gets tossed on the "I'll FFO it one of these days" pile. 😂. That pile is quite large. 😂 But I love how you've given me the idea and the courage to not have to stitch every last element on the design the way it was charted. I don't know why I've always had such a hard time accepting that, but you've really pushed my head outside of that box😊. Happy stitching! Annie

antique samplers are compilations of motifs, so you're just 'samperling-the-sampler' of course you need to stitch what you enjoy! they all result in lovely items. thanks for including Scripture on your pieces and at the end of the videos.

Hello Kim. Yet another wonderful flosstube. Such eye candy you present and stitch, wow! When you were talking about Hannah Sanderson and your concern for the flosses being too bright it reminded me of a display I saw at Keepsakes in Sharonville Ohio. They had taken a small selection of flosses and spritzed them with an antiquing spray to show that you can tone down the colors if they are a little too vibrant for your liking. This might be an option instead of purchasing new flosses for your project. I look forward to seeing the completed Hannah Sanderson. Have a blessed day.

Nice idea to make them into Band Samplers. Finished on a spool or a wall hanging? I switched to stitching seasonal designs & smalls for a while, since 95% of my work were gifts. I'm happy to be making items for our home. I still have a few Large charts each year too. Who knows what I will stitch next year. Big B-day for Gigi R ... how fun!! Cool placemat into a project bag, the larger would probably be good to store away a scroll frame. Enjoy The Attic!!!!

Love your ideas for making samplers or parts of them your own. Annie is producing some lovely pieces too. Thank you to your husband for words of enlightenment and encouragement. Your Bible tabs made me smile. I spent 20+ years in church ministry and the kids and adults alike use to note my vast array of stickie notes and highlighted passages. Mine was truly a working Bible. After a prayer service with my 8th graders and their parents and Confirmation sponsors, one young man asked me how I found anything in the Bible used for formal occasions. Ribbon bookmarks and stickie notes on the passages that they couldn't see was my reply. To this day, I love my working Bible and exploring what was previously marked. It's like rediscovering and reaffirming treasures picked out for me when I need them the most!
Yes! I have highlighted so much, and notes and arrows and…I even remember a note about there was a difference between John the Baptist and John the apostle when I first started learning!

I appreciate your explanation of how you stitch your favorite parts of a chart. I started cross stitching in 2020. One of the first pieces I did was Pandemic because it was free. However, I just picked out several of my favorite motifs and compiled them into a small version. The whole thing was too daunting.
I especially like your idea of a band sampler. I’m definitely running with that idea.
I just can’t stitch something with the called for colors or the way it’s charted. I like seeing someone else who feels the same. Thanks for all you do and congrats on your anniversary.

Hi Kim, I just wanted to let you know for Hannah Sanderson - just dunk the floss into tea let dry - see if that darkens down the colours a bit- if not - try coffee. Dry the floss and try them against that fabric. 😊 Fred and Jen

I love everything you are stitching ❤ thanks for sharing 👍 I like your idea for a prayer Bible. I actually purchased the New Testament from Spiral Bible. I wanted something I could write in, sticker up, etc, without marking up my special Bible. I plan the get the Old Testament, too. It’s in several sections and it will probably be my Christmas gift 🎁

I am so glad someone else is being creative with 20 in 2024 to make it fit their style. I do like how you reimagine samplers…do you ever mix more than one sampler into the same stitch? You explain very well how I feel about loving the stitching but I am always thinking about what the product will look like. Annie has a great flosstube and designs.
