I love the way you teach us by drawing the pattern first.. It certainly makes it easier to see and understand. I love all your videos, thank you so much for taking the time to share.
These “Short and Sweet” episodes are the best tutorials I’ve seen. Not only do they give you concise instructions for the basics, but they also show you a few variations and then inspire you to use your imagination to come up with your own designs using those basics. I thank you, Handi Quilter and Helen!
Could you possibly do some tutorials on the sweet sixteen long arm, I love your teaching, you are so easy to follow. Please use more contrast with fabric and thread so we can see every bit . Thanks
I love the variety of your spirals but the steampunk version is brilliant. I can see it used in modern, southwestern, and many other funky quilt patterns. Thanks for the inspiration!
I wish I knew how to download this to add it to my permanent resource library! Definitely a keeper. I have always found spirals challenging, but this breaks them down into very doable components. Great video! Thank you, Handi Quilter and Helen Godden!
Thank you again Helen for so many wonderful ways to do spirals. I have not quite mastered those yet, but ya know what, by you showing it as starting out with a six is going to help a great deal. How smart you are! You are just the best for Handi Quilter and I just love you!!!! Your art and talent is something I could watch for hours. And thank you for sharing and teaching us these great motifs. I am always excited when I see that I have something from you and I learn so very much. You are a true gem! Thank you again and many hugs to you. Claudia
Came across your video a few days ago and although I machine quilt on a domestic, a sweet sixteen is much closer than a long arm. Your instructions are very clear and inspirational. Love the idea of colouring in the quilting. What do you do with your samples?
Glad you enjoyed the video. The Handi Quilter gang tend to snaffle the samples fairly quickly. If you follow me on Facebook, I randomly offer sample size pieces for sale. Usually about $150AU and the first to say SOLD is the lucky one.
I wish you would use a fabric/thread combo that was more contrasted...it's very hard to see what you are sewing in this lesson. I do love your lessons.
Please could you consider using a plain fabric with a real contrast thread? These tutorials are great, but I am finding this one very difficult to see your stitching. Thank you.
The duck!!! So cute!!

Your welcome. More to come in 2020.

Yeah. Thanks Judith. I shall tell HQ you said that.

It is very cool. Also just a bit more masculine so it has loads of potential.

Thank you. So glad you find these videos helpful. Happy quilting.
Do you sleep ?😁🥰. Lovely Helen. Please consider working on black fabric with white thread...easier to see your beautiful art
Yep. I do sleep. Yep we realised the contrast was poor. Next time.
Thank you, Helen. Your explanations are wonderful. Please use fabric and thread with more contrast nest time!
Yep for sure. Lesson learnt.

Yep. We made a poor fabric choice. Better next time.

Sue yep. We learnt our lesson.
Love your videos, and are helpful. But maybe use a lighter fabric or different color thread
Yep. Lesson learnt.

Can't see with color thread with fabric
Dark fabric makes it difficult to see your lesson
Yep we made a poor fabric choice. Better next time.
