- These are some of Ben Kenobi's (Obi-Wan Kenobi's) scenes in Star Wars: A New Hope, but his voice is replaced by The Clone Wars voice actor (James Arnold Taylor), and the Star Wars Rebels "Twin Suns" episode voice actor who played Ben Kenobi on Tatooine (Stephen Stanton).
The Clone Wars voice change video is taken from James Arnold Taylor's UA-cam channel, and can be found in his 2020 May the 4th Q&A.

It feels a little weird having high quality 2015 audio coming out of Obi-wan, while Luke and Han still have janky 70s audio. But it is still VERY well done.

Stephen Stanton does a great job of replicating sir Alec Guinness voice. While James Arnold Taylor does a great clone wars and shortly after revenge of the sith obiwan.
There's almost no difference between Alec Guinness and Stephen Stanton
Stanton Maugham might’ve actually done a better job, but I prefer Taylor due to the fact that you can hear _both_ Obi-wans.

Those voices are on point, loved the clone wars, he was on in one episode of rebels as i recall? Apart from the warning hologram in an earlier episode.

Stephen Stanton is perfect voice actor for Obi-wan
Not bad. But nothing beats the original actors. Alec's voice is great and Ewen's voicevis great for a younger Kenobi.
It will be very interesting to hear Ewan's voice in the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, as it's been 18 years since he filmed Revenge of the Sith, and its 10 years closer to A New Hope in the show.

Because his voice was more fit for Ewan Mcgregor's Obi-Wan, the Obi-Wan from Rebels was Alec Guinness now so they needed someone who sounded exactly like him

stephens impression is incredible however it really falls apart once you hear the high quality audio next to audio quality from 1977, and the lip syncing not lining up right isnt helping much.
james' just feels hella uncomfortable. it doesnt suit the age of this obi wan in the slightest.

I wonder why they didn't use Ewan McGregor to fill in Obi Wan's voice in TCW
They used James Arnold Taylor for most of the video games and the original Clone Wars cartoon because he happened to be available and cheaper at the time while Ewan McGregor was busy doing other things, guess they just stuck with him because he was a veteran in the role.
James is better for young Obi Wan

Both James Arnold Taylor and Stephen Stanton are good but IMO Stephen Stanton does a better Obi-Wan Kenobi voice because he sounds more like Sir Alec Guinness who was the first actor to play the role. If you hadn't said it was Stephen Stanton's voice dumbed over Sir Alec Guinness my ears wouldn't have known any better.

Something that is missing, is the trauma. Alec actually sounds like hes fought in the clone wars, he sounds like hes been traumatized
Got to say in my personal opinion the original one sounds better.
