Temuera Morrison was always vocal about wanting to continue playing jango/Boba/clones if he could. Im very glad he is finally getting the chance to do so! Boba was so badass in this episode!
It was great finally seeing Boba portrayed as competent, they really cucked him over the years. Clone Wars in particular seemed to really love showing up Boba and having him fail for some reason like when Ventress locked him in a trunk, I get that he;s supposed to be young and starting out but we never get to see the payoff of him actually growing to be badass, the closest we get is the cut duel between Cad Bane and him but even that was technically a draw since all that saved Boba was his armor taking the blaster hit to the head and not skill in any way
I'd totally be down for him playing Rex in live action, like he's the perfect age to play both Boba and and surviving clones

He said he did it because he felt he needed to bring out the true nature of Boba Fett's worn and weathered self. He's been through alot and this really helped Temuera decide that his voice need to be just that. The answer is yes, I don't care what George lucas says. Boba and Jango Fett are Mandalorians. They are the ones the entire Mandalorian culture is based on.
George Lucas always seems to make decisions that are counterproductive and have little sense
@@johng3029 I appreciate George Lucas and the fact that he did bring us star wars. Lucas made a lot of great decisions but he also made plenty of counterproductive and terrible ones like you said. He's kind of a wildcard but he progressively made worse decisions as time went on unfortunately.
@@SoulbentAnime I agree George Lucas is a creative genius and a cultural icon, his early works are absolutely perfect (I am actually a huge fan of his first film THX 1138). My issue with him is once Star Wars took off and became an important cultural phenomenon, he maintained a stubborn creative dominance over specific aspects of the story which were straight up counter productive, such as him changing Han shooting first amongst other things. I think it's really imperative that the fans be able to take the series in the direction they want and over time that eventually became the case. However with Disney purchasing the rights to star wars I certainly was worried about it's future especially being how the last movies turned out. But one thing I think we can all agree on is that the Mandalorian is an absolute godsend for the Star Wars series.
@@johng3029 I find it strange that he sold it to Disney considering he was the very man who always wanted to maintain independence from big Hollywood and make his own movies the way he wants them. Having that kind of freedom is every filmmakers dream. Not answering to soulless corporate film executives who don't have a creative bone in their body. I feel he should've just kept it honestly and keep making his own films. I'm sure he would've done something creative at the very least when compared to the Disney sequels. Even he said TFA didn't do anything new. He ends up selling star wars to a soulless corporation and complains about that.
I'm saying like what did you expect Disney to do with star wars? Not sure if I'd call it a godsend but I can agree that Mandolorian is definitely a better thing to come out the Disney acquisition so there's that.
I also kind of wonder about his children. Imagine your dad owning the godly IP of star wars and sells it to a corporation instead of letting you handle it. Perhaps they aren't in that business and that's fine. But if I was his kid and had a knack for films then I'd be pissed lol
@@SoulbentAnime oh yeah Haha I totally agree, it had to have been a difficult decision. I can't speak for the man obviously but I think as he got older the fallout from his more frequent poor creative decisions probably became more frustrating and disheartening. The massive demand for more and more content from millions of millions of fans is an ungodly amount of pressure to put on a single writer. The money he received from Disney is going to guarantee that not only his children but their children's children are going to be able to pursue whatever dreams they have, whether that be personal aspirations or possibly either buying back into the star wars canon if they really wanted to. I don't blame the man for taking his check and retiring comfortably but with Disney's shoddy work in the last trilogy it left me checked out on Star Wars. The only reason I decided to come back and give the IP a second chance with the Mandalorian because it got the approval of Werner Herzog. Herzog is defacto my favorite director of all time and is actually the man who plays the client in the first episode. Interestingly enough he has never seen a single star wars movie before but from working with Favreau he seemed thoroughly impressed with what they were doing, definitely glad I came back to it.
I'm not gonna lie, I actually teared up when Boba appeared in full armor in this episode. Ill watch this again and again. I can't say that about the sequel trilogy.

In star wars they do like to put in para-phrases as fan-service. They are terribly weird from a conversational and logical standpoint, but it is what it is
@@ScreentimeNOR I think it's feasible in this instance that Boba remembers the line. Perfect portrayal from Morrison.
What if Boba tells Mando: “I need help looking for the Jedi who killed my father.”
If Mace survived, he’s gonna be pretty old, 81 years old (in 9 ABY). Combine that with the unlimited power he was hit with, losing his hand, and knowing everyone he fought alongside have been eradicated, exiled, or turned to the dark side in Anakin’s case, things don’t seem too good for him.

If you've read Jango Fett: Open Seasons and/or played its tie-in game Bounty Hunter, you know just how much Jango is lying about it being "always a pleasure to meet a Jedi."
Making his way through the universe got jango's head chopped off, so boba decided to stick with galaxy instead

And right before Dooku recruited him to be the clone's template he literally killed a handful of jedi with his bare hands

I love how the armor interacts with his gut. A guy a bit on the chunky side with armored abs
Jango was evidently far more ambitious than Boba.
Tbh Temuera Morrison's aged deeper voice reminds me of the original Boba Fett voiced by Jason Wingreen
NICE CHARLES, SO CREATIVE

Yes, I too enjoyed this video
This really shows that Morrison CAN mimic Wingreen's performance. While I dislike the countless edits that Lucas made in his movies, I really wish they could have Morrison re-record his lines for ESB. In the original recording for the remastered version he was simply given a paper with Boba's lines and was told to say them over the phone while being recorded.
Boba's voice sounds even more intense than Jango's
Jango Fett: "I'm just a simple man, trying to make my way in the universe."
Boba Fett: "I'm a simple man, making his way through the galaxy."
Mirta Gev: "I'm just trying to get by in a tough galaxy."
As you wish

You are a bold one!
I gotta say, despite Temeura playing both Jango and Boba, they totally feel like different men to me
This episode, and Vader's "work" at the end of Rogue One...best we've seen from SW in years
And you can get a bit of both things in the final episodes of Clone Wars.
Season 2 of Mandalorian was such an overwhelming tour of wish-fulfillment for Star Wars fans. They knew they really needed to re-solidify what Star Wars was and what it meant to so many.
Chapter 11 - Oh wow, Bo Katan on screen in live action, played by her Clone Wars and Rebels voice actress...that's a very cool, deep cut for the franchise
Chapter 13 - Holy crap, Ahsoka Tano on screen in live action, with some great lightsaber action
Chapter 14 - WHAT! Boba Fett returns WITH HIS ARMOR and WRECKS people left and right? I've waited DECADES for this.
Chapter 15 - HOLY CRAP SEISMIC CHARGE!
Chapter 16 - LUKE SKYWALKER LUKE SKYWALKER LUKE SKYWALKER! BEING AN AWESOME JEDI KNIGHT! I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE IT ON SCREEN!
