- Verizon Orbic Speed WiFi Hotspot Review #Shorts. A couple years ago I made this video "Can I Survive on the Verizon Ellipsis JetPack Hotspot?" It is one of my most watched videos with a comment section that has a life of its own. Last year the Ellipsis Jetpack got recalled and I sent mine back. I just opened the box and I received this Verizon Orbic Speed WiFi Hotspot. Let's open the box. There is a 5V 1A charger. The USB C cord is about 3 feet long. There is a Quick start guide. This is 4G LTE. I like that usage statistics show up here. Let's click through the menu using the button on the side. The power button selects the current item. You see your 2.4 and 5Ghz WiFi password here. This is also the admin password to use when you browse to my.jetpack or 192.168.1.1 after connecting to the WiFi hotspot. This web console gives you more detailed control over the Verizon Orbic Speed including changing the passwords, etc. Let's look at the speed on speedguide.net. Leave your questions below. Thank you very much.
One thing I missed: The battery is 3,000Mah.

I am in a rural area and cant get wifi. I have Verizon hotspot that I am trying to use to power my work laptop and tv for streaming. The service is poor. Do you know if this device would help?
It's all about the number of bars on the cellular signal you are getting. I can't say this device will get a better signal than your current one. It's more about how close you are to the nearest tower. It sounds like you might want to consider Starlink or another satellite service.
@@ShotokuTech thanks for the reply. Yea I only get 1 or 2 bars. I cant even get Starlink residential currently so may need Starlink Business, ugh
@@childum It sounds like there aren't a lot of options. Maybe a cellular signal booster would help. just make sure the one you try covers the bands for your service. Something like: amzn.to/3YcP7NZ Best wishes.
Good product as a last option terrible speeds
Yeah it's the cheapest of all of them. But It worked okay in a rocket: ua-cam.com/video/EnITW2e4Tbs/v-deo.html
Thanks!😁
Wonderful share!
Thank you Judy Plus!
Not a very good product . The hot spot on my phone works better than this . Its slow , and randomly shuts on and off , and will disconnect for no reason. Theres not even a port to plug an antenna in.
I flew it in a rocket just fine! ua-cam.com/video/EnITW2e4Tbs/v-deo.html
How does one get data on the device? Or rather, do I need a SIM card and to get a prepaid plan to use it? What plan is best?
I only use this from time to time, so prepaid makes more sense to me. This is a Verizon device, with its own SIM. You need to activate with Verizon. If you are cool with long term contracts, look at unlimited. Verizon can probably answer better. But you can make comparisons at these two links.

I use it for video Games ,, and it is not very good . My hotspot on my phone is better than this piece of junk . Imagine playing an online game , and then the jetpack just casualy disconnects randomly .
This seems cool.
This one is a follow up to my most viewed, highest money earning video ever! This one is not nearly as popular as the original. But since they had to recall the original device, it seemed a video was in order. Thanks!
@@ShotokuTech Bravo! Congrats
