I find the suggestion that people would quit working full time whist planning a wedding ludicrous. Maybe it's because I'm from the UK, but I've never even thought of not working to plan this one day of my life.
    Seems utterly bonkers to me.

    Great video! A few questions:
    1) what are some special/unique details you’ve seen couples do in the past or any ideas for special touches you have?
    2) what is the craziest thing you’ve seen at a wedding?
    3) how often and for what circumstances should a bride meet with a planner?
    4) what is the best resource to find wedding venues?
    5) everyone thinks of florals, venues, food, dress, etc. when thinking of planning a wedding, but what are some of the purchases/things/costs that most people don’t know about off the bat?
    6) what is the most stressful part of the wedding planning process (for bride, groom, or planner)?
    7) what information should a bride have before meeting with a planner?
    8) pros and cons for having a wedding in winter, fall, spring, summer?

Omg our venue is holding the ceremony and reception like 20 feet form each other. They have so many things we can rent directly from them like lighting and upgraded tables. They have an exclusive caterer who also includes linens in their pricing and has furniture and accessories we can rent form them. It’s been such a relief.

Your videos have been super helpful. I got Engaged in December and our wedding is in January. Luckily I have the big stuff planned out already. All inclusive venue, photographer, DJ, and officiant are all booked. I'm DIYing my own flowers from coffee filters and a greenary from craft stores. I could use a video on the little stuff to remember. I have about 6 months to go and that feels like a ton of time and no time at all at the same time.

Hey Jamie! I know you’re busy - but just wanted to drop by and maybe give a few video ideas if you ever run out! My wedding is in a few months and I’ve always wanted to have a candy bar as a sort of “take home wedding favor”. I’m also going to do a coffee bar. I’d love to see what your ideas for those things would be! Or maybe like extra (small affordable) fun things ppl could add to their weddings to make it fun and unique. You are my very favorite for my wedding planning process on UA-cam. Thank you SO much for making videos! ❤️

I love the fact that you pointed out to choose a venue that did multiple parts of the wedding at one place! We did this with ours, and it makes it so much easier!! We also went with preferred vendors, which ended up being easier because they don't need walk throughs of the venue and are there often throughout the year! It's made things so much easier on both of us since we both work full-time. Thank you for this video!

Hard, but totally doable. I work a full time accounting job AND run a very busy professional photography business (in my 8th year, woohoo!), AND spend time with my honey, AND am planning a wedding in addition to keeping up with family and friends and church. A big tip I can suggest is to set routine. I wake up at 4am to answer emails and messages before work, use my lunch period to scour social media and use my after work to edit photos and talk with my baby on the phone. We set three full date days together on Fri-Sun. Lastly, stay focused! Focus is the biggest factor I think. 😊👏🏼 Hard, but possible!

OMG! Finally someone who can truly understand how stressful it is planning your own wedding and working full time! I have a coordinator and thankfully my fiancé's support and involvement but it's not enough. They make it look so effortless in the movies and IG but the reality of it is truly hard. I have days where I am just finding myself feeling like I'm drowning. It's such a burden because financially if your on a budget too and everything has gotten ridiculously expensive since the pandemic in the state of California. I can barley keep up. No one truly understands unless you have gone through it yourself. Plus the pressure to look your best on your wedding. OMG! Why all this pressure! I feel so bad and horrible for judging other people's weddings and how they turned out cheap or awful sometimes. I didn't realize how hard it is and I'm so sorry!!!! LOL forgive me! Thank you Jamie. I'm so glad you can relate and understand what I'm going through. LOVE your videos!

You should definitely do a fun and quick Q&A! I've seen so many good questions in the comments that I'd love to know the answers to!
What are your best tips for choosing who to invite to your wedding? I was invited to my neighbors wedding and I knew her but had never met the groom. Now I don't know if I should invite both of them or just stick with the person I know? What's your advice?! Especially with a smaller wedding (100 and lower) and what's your recommendation with large families? Who do you cut?

  • @TheIrishOne95

As always I loved the video! Always so helpful!! Some questions I have: 1.) How do you create a budget? Like how do you do the math off of what the bride and groom make in their jobs? I have no clue what our budget should be. 2.) What's the average cost of having a planner/day of coordinator travel for their services? Like coming to another state and/or country for the wedding/reception. Would the bride and groom be financially responsible for air fare/transportation, hotel stay, etc?

Cutting costs by making your lunches and such seriously helps. I was spending $15 daily for 5 days a week on coffee and a breakfast on the way to work… just because I would run out of time to eat by doing my full beat makeup and hair routine… $300 a month… for breakfast 😅

Any advice is always welcomed and taken to heart when considering how to balance classwork, (probably) a job (or two), and then planning a wedding. Any tips on how to make kids entertained during the wedding day? It's a long day and I want both the kids and the parents to be able to enjoy themselves. Best ways to manage a 2yr old through a wedding (planning a babysitter from after the meal..is this a good idea)
How to handle guests expectations.. we have under 60 guests and not inviting the entire family members so just aunts, uncles not cousins and they aren't all v happy about this!)

Ooooh! Ooooh! Q&A question! I’ve been meaning to ask you this. I know one time on a budget video you said something about RSVP websites (having people RSVP not through snail mail i mean). But I wanted to know what your thoughts are on that in general. Do people think it’s tacky? Am i likely to get RSVPs in a more timely manner? Less timely manner? Etc. I’m trying to gauge whether it’ll actually make it easier for people to RSVP because I’m notoriously terrible at even putting a pre-stamped envelope in the mail because... I never mail things. Like who does, really?

I have a question! Two, actually haha. How do you normally advise clients who want to do a toss exit photo? At our church it has to be done outside, but the bride and groom typically leave before everyone else as they lead the recessional. Would you advise they wait off to the side for people to gather outside of the church, or is this usually a staged shot?
Along the same lines, how do you advise doing a sparkler exit? I see them everywhere, but our photographer will likely be gone by the time we exit. Is this worth trying to have a friend capture, or should it be skipped if we don't have an official photographer?
Love your videos, thanks in advance! Xo

Priscilla Villafana maybe you could copy and paste it into your own new document? Hopefully you can make changes then!

My fiance and I are getting married when he gets home. Hes in afganistan.hes military (army),and will be retired soon. It's his 3rd tour..once I started to think about what we wanted, etc.it is very overwhelming, but its exciting as well.we can't set a date or book anyone yet,but I have a wedding ideas journal book and I have already chosen the dress I would like, but have not baught it yet.my fiance wants an extravagant wedding, but he also wants to be married asap.lol.im laughing, because hes the one who wants it more extravagant than me.we are both divorced, and this will be our second marriage..I'm a country girl and could care less how extravagant it is.lol...however, we do both want to keep God in this relationship always...so we will be married in a church and do the somewhat traditional wedding...I have told my fiance, that I want a Cinderella/traditional/kinda wimsicle type of wedding..thank you for doing these videos all of them that I have seen are very helpful and I have just followed you on Instagram and the wedding chicks as well..I have told my fiance that we need a wedding planner, and we are in Arizona.if it works out right ,I would like you to be our planner. But first I need to speak to my fiance and we need to wait till we find out when he is coming home..

I figured it out! So as long as youbhave excel you can do it. So you open the document then go to file > download as> microsoft excel then save it to your computer then upload it onto your drive😁

Ashlyn Ibuado Just an update. The owner has since disabled all export options 😭 So no editing, copying and pasting, or downloading as an excel doc.

I'm falling apart ATM, I have 10 weeks left to go, my signer has cancelled on me as she's gone out of business. My venue isn't providing table covers and sashes anymore, they've only told me now there will be only one meal option for everyone unless I pay per head to change it. My make up artist has let me down. I can get in touch with my printer for the invites so it's take us 2 months just to draft up the invites, they haven't even been printed them and there meant to be sent by tomorrow. I work as a stay in nurse, and I don't have that much money to replace anything if it goes wrong. I've been saving for 4 years and it's all going to pot. I just want to throw in the towel and give up.

Oh and my wedding coordinator quit, so now a new person has to be filled in on times and what's happening. I don't even know this new persons name yet.
