    I love this technique. I have been doing this with magazine cut outs themselves. After a few coats of acrylic paint they are fairly durable but I can definitely see how an acetate sheet is a step up. I’m going to try this.
    Another suggestion is to use your own photographs with this technique. It makes your imagery more personal. I like to combine silhouettes of my kids at different ages. I like baby pictures combined with pictures of the same person as a grownup. It’s fun to see if I can remember who’s who just by body posture.

    Great color blending techniques.
    Looks like I need to buy some clear acetate for the more detailed silhouettes.

    The first pull with the stencil on the plate comes off nice and smooth. Once the stencil is taken off the image of the next pull is blotchy and patchy. Is there anything that can be done once you pull a stencil off to make the pulled image smoother?

    • @evelinehondius1258
      @evelinehondius1258 4 роки тому

      Yes! And not just acrylic paint. You can also use acrylic or alcohol inks, pastel, watercolour (with some limitations). Inkpads (like distress ink) are also used.
