I explore a huge amount of surfskate tutorials and finally I found it as the most useful and explained! Thanks a ton and kind regards from the Black Sea coastline, Batumi, Georgia!
amazing- thank you so much and I'm super happy to hear you found it helpful. Although there's a gap in video production, I have a few on the editting table now. More will come on snaps, cutbacks, and extra work on turns. In the meantime, feel free to send any questions my way!
Great Video. finally im improving a lot with my surfskating journey. ive been watching diff. videos but your videos are more well detailed and how you explained how to do it.
Yes absolutely- had some setback here but there are a few already in the making- snaps, pops, and more beginner stuff. In the meantime feel free to post any questions
Thank you! Had to take a bit of a pause but more are coming soon with snaps and cutbacks. Taking your wish and will make sure I add the inverted goofy version. In the meantime feel free to send any questions my way (or your vids if you wish)
Been asking the same. Haha- kidding. I had some unrelated setbacks and couldn’t finish shooting. Then winter came. Spring is here and It’ll be the first thing I shoot and release.
@@natansun Thank you - yes for now some snowboard tutorials - the snaps and cutbacks will probably be out later in the spring once I get some days back on the concrete :)
It's not ballet. It's not robot movements either. Your movements only apply to that specific board. Other surf skateboards 🛹 require other types of moves.
So I would say, watch part one of these (generating speed) and/or the video from last year. Both cover more basic posture and moving forward. Going straight on surfskate is basically generating speed. This in itself will cover all you need to know about weight shifting and leaning. Otherwise feel free to ask any question you have along the way ua-cam.com/video/dfHdY6SliKI/v-deo.html
Yes that makes total sense and totally fine! We lose speed in turns because there’s more friction between wheels and ground. In fact if one goes surf skating on a downhill and wants to control speed I would suggest going down in a turns (snake pattern) which would keep the speed lower compared to straight down. I would go further and say that on a surfboard you lose speed in turns as well- how much is depending on the maneuver. In snaps for example when it’s all about the drift movement, highest friction, you will lose the most amount of speed. Therefore there’s work to be done (as explained in short in the video) on how to get out of the top turn, in order to regain speed. So- at the end of a turn you should push the board and upper body moving up in order to get the board going. Hope that helps to make sense of it all. My next video re drifts after which I will get into regarding speed a bit more. But for now focus on the right movement and then after your top turn is done straight back into speed generating.
You've missed the point of this. You're only tuning this board for a flat tennis court 😑 If you ride somewhere else you have to change the steering settings and then your ballet dancing moves don't apply. You probably don't even know your steering is adjustable. You probably don't know you've been given easy access to adjusting your steering performance.
Thanks for the comment! always happy to get feedback. You are semi-correct. in fact, I'll be making a new video on this explaining more. It is true it should pass, but as you lean, because of the angle, if I take a picture and draw a line it will look as the elbow is in front. In any case, it's a little more fluid than you make it sound, but I hear you.

Snaps and Cutbacks coming soon. Stay tuned!

Your front elbow never cross your front knee. Big mistake intermidiate surfers and non surfers do.
