When i clicked on you i thought you wouls be someone else, but you talk and laught just like him,you are lucky to have those swap meet and so big,i would be exited to see that.
holy shiat mang I must be getting old! I remember when gas was 28 cents per gallon and smokes 35 cents per pack! its no wonder I hurt all over lol enjoyed this brother!
I own a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible which was given to me by my grandfather at the age of 18, I still own her to this day and she has only 21hundred and 76 miles. Never been in a down poor, and NEVER HAD SNOW TOUCH HER!!!!! Every thing on her is original except for the battery, wiper blades, and YES the same tires!! I would rotate the tires every Saturday morning and I change the motor oil every Saturday morning and give her a complete lube job every Saturday morning. She was BORN on January 3,and was transported to my grandfather's home and was started every Saturday morning around 6 am religiously. She has her own garage, enclosed during the WINTER MONTHS.!!!!! Original exhaust, from the manifold on back, original under coating, even though I would add a extra layer every October 1st (EVERY YEAR). I have had people ask me to start her up and I would respond, (SHE IS ALREADY RUNNING)!!!!!!,and their mouths would fall open with amazement!!!!!!! I would NEVER sell her!!!! When I cross the river I will donate her to a automobile museum.
15 years ago I sold a couple of those Impala dashes. $200 plus shipping. Cut up a refrigerator box to pack it up. What a pain that was, I had to do it outside in the yard and like cut and roll to form the box. I had a Chevy like the one at 15:00. I paid $200 for it, then sold the nice stock wheel for $200. Got about halfway through a V8 swap and a guy offered me $2500 for it so I sold it. I don't think anything I collected for it ultimately cost me much, seats from a $200 parts car I sold the motor out of for $500, stuff like that. It was a how to guide on what not to do when repairing the body of a car. Guy who bought it redid the body, chopped it, and made his own chassis for it. I remember paying just under a buck a gallon in northern Pennsylvania in like 1994. Cheap 86 octane was 94 cents.
I can think of other things CA is good for: the Pacific Coast Hwy between L.A. and the Bay area, Yosemite National Park, "In N Out" restaurants, the Golden Gate bridge, just to name a few.
@@WAL_DC-6B ...California wine...of course, Hollywood - the golden-age era attractions...Disney Land....Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego - where they filmed exteriors at the beach and hotel itself, for Marilyn Monroe's classic comedy, "Some Like It Hot".....boop boop be doop! 😉
I'd rather have the '57 Chevy @ 49:00 than the one @ 48:00. With the stripped-down '57 @ 48:00, you know what you're getting. With the one @ 48:00, you have the owner telling you all the custom stuff he did, but how good was it done? The car could drive like sh!t after what he did. Plus, how much of a Bondo nightmare could it be under that paint? I don't trust other people's work.
48:44 $4,750? Thursday he wanted $5,500 for it. Didn’t sell. I was after a 57 but this was way above my budget. He had exactly what I wanted, for the right price back home. When I went to pick up the car, this one was in his front yard. Did not sell.
I wonder if that State Fair of Texas Sky Ride bucket is one of the ones that fell in 79, injuring and even killing people. It’s obviously been restored. I would not go in it.
Saturday was the only day that saw any significant amount of people wearing masks. Pretty much every swap meet ive been to whether it's been in Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, or Florida, not many have worn masks
Well, there’s also the opposite. People who jack up their ride with a lift kit, never go off road ever, and have to make complete stops before crossing RR tracks because... ...I dunno. Also... ...people use trucks to haul things? Bizarre! Outside Pate, like, literally the first exit north, people don’t haul anything more than groceries.
The greenish Cadillac toweds the end looks very nice, I like this one too.

Who did you think it would be?
The 58 Nomad in the thumbnail pic was sweet looking! I used to own a 58 Biscayne!

I bought cartons of Winston's less than 2.50 1966.

I like that 1986 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS especially all original, I remember these cars when new.

Great video! Next April maybe you can come to Scottsdale, Arizona for the Goodguys car show and swap meet.
Yes... Go ahead, make my day... 😎😎😎 Hey Clint !!! Ah..., Benny..., too much cool... 👌
California is good for only 1 thing....preserving old cars with no rust !
And THATS ALL!.

Thank You my friend for the information...
I worked at gas station downtown Detroit in 60s during gas wars seen station down the street at 12 cents a gallon
Great SM. need to go to Texas probably run out of money in an hour. Gas price. In 1968 cali was 28 cents a gallon. Union 76.
Time has changed, if we knew what we know now, to cherish the old things
What's up Eli! 👋 "Monster Rust" 👍

Unfortunately I doubt anyone would have any timestamps
They are proud of those junkers! $$$$$

The people at that meet are trying to get rich overnight
I remember .28 cents a gallon in 68
It was cheap in Indiana till 1973/74, from 30/34 to 50+..
The dash was put in a s10, the channel is SSPTV. my friend....
I couldn't remember the name of their channel. 👍
Benny you gotta get your Wagon rolling on the road so you can enjoy the hell out of it with your pitbull be awesome daily driver
WOW THE CASH THEY WANT FOR THEM RUST BUCKET CARS IS INSANE MAN.......THEY NEED ONLY ONE PLACE FOR THEM IS SCRAP STEEL FOR SAIL....

👍👍👍👍👍
34:50 Richard Rawlings posted his Gas Monkey Pate video, and supposedly they wanted $2200 for that Fina’s Cafe sign.
I watched his Pate video and heard that too.
Make the Elco into a convertible
yeah I'm old I remember $0.49 a gal.
👀👀👀👀
The 58 drew me here. No one has masks out there?

@@ClassicRideSociety be careful anyway, keep up the videos.
Say buddy, could you send me a e-mail when the next new swap meet, i don't have any information about any swap meet. Thank you buddy
The next one is in New Braunfels TX this weekend. If you Google "Texas Swap Meets" their are websites that give lists of what's coming up
Seems like the thug wont let you move around out of is watch !
I ain't seen that much trash (way over priced) in one place ever!!!
You know that ol sayin, "one man's trash is another man's treasure" 😄 👍
How about 19.9 a gal ,guess my age, but your vidios are great
First. I hate these comments lol but why tf not
Edit: How's the junked third gen camaro hunting?
Haven't run across any lately unfortunately. But im sure one will pop up sooner or later
Anymore, if it shows-up at a swap meet - it's overpriced. You'd have more success doing the legwork online instead.
Why do young people want cars DRAGGING the ground!?, Must not go over RR Tracks or want to haul anything in a TRUCK.
Well, there’s also the opposite. People who jack up their ride with a lift kit, never go off road ever, and have to make complete stops before crossing RR tracks because... ...I dunno. This stuff is so over priced and junk look at the 1960 Chevy
