Lekker... I will want to make this before Christmas as I want to make it a special surprise for my sister for Christmas dinner, I want to make kest krans this year as a surprise for Christmas dinner this year...
I just tried a premade version of this yesterday XD. Its lovely - the combination of the spiced biscuit (or cake in this case?) and the sweet, soft almond paste is such a good combination (I like almonds and almond-flavoured things in general). I'm a big biscuit and cake lover and I'm enjoying all the Dutch foods I have tried so far (well, except Kwarktaart - I like kwark, but I'm sensitive to textures due to mental conditions). Stamppot is one of my favourites due to it being similar to the Scottish dish 'stovies' (I come from Scotland). One bit of advice - you should say 'beaten egg', rather than a 'scrambled' egg. In English, those are two different things. What part of the Netherlands are you from, by the way? I live in Leiden with my (native Dutch) boyfriend. Dank je voor het recept :).
Thanks! We are not in the NL anymore, but we used to live in the East. Shortly, I will also update a video on Stuffed almond cookies, in Dutch Gevulde koeken. Those are great too, in case you haven't tried to make them yourselfs yet.

@@woodenshoeshomestead2884 I have indeed tried them, but Ialways seeing recipes of things we buy pre-made, so I will enjoy the recipe.
@@MirrenTheDragonKnight Yes I know what you mean. Pre-made makes life easy, but home-made are just so much better ;)
@@woodenshoeshomestead2884 Well, of course :).
