    "My other pedalboard, that I tour with, is twice the size of this. To bring that on a plane is just not practical. This has everything I use - the bigger one just has a few extra toys to play with! The main source of my sound is pretty much my PRS amp, the overdrive comes from the second channel. Everything else just adds to the original tone."

    Very nice. I Love The Jam Pedals. That Retro Vibe, is possibly: the Most Authentic Sounding Univibe I have heard. What Throb . . . Wow ! - and that Waterfall Chorus was very CE-1-like. Love the pedal choices, great tone & awesome playing. Enjoyed it.

    Simon, the particular reverb u use on the Strymon is very,very nice, may I ask which setting one u are using? The Flynt sounds fantastic but I never need tremolo, I wonder if their blue sky or other pedals have a similar reverb, or a smaller pedal like an HOF or whatever.. is that a spring,room,plate?.. it's realllly sweet.
    well done,than u kindly for sharing.I'm sure tons of players will appreciate this!

      +J Johnson have you ever sought out a classic Van Halen phaser sound with it? I can't seem to find it no matter what mode/params I try - it never sounds sweet or transparent enough. I run it through the loop though... maybe straight in front is the secret?

    • @pedalguru89
      @pedalguru89 8 років тому +1

      +Keven Klayne 6:09 he backs off on the gain, which was overpowering the octave effect. You hear more of the effect in the upper register anyway.

      +Amps for Buddha a nice alternative is a Earthquaker Devices Hoof Reaper. It's a Muff + Tone Bender + an Octave in between - all switchable independently. The only fuzz you'll ever need...maybe

  • @ChinchillupaGuy

    I love that subtle bell tone well he rolls the volume back a bit to get that hendrix tone. Is that tone from the pedal, the PRS or just the way he's playing? I'm a beginner guitar player so I can't really tell.

    • @PassagesMusic_
      @PassagesMusic_ 9 років тому +2

      It's a combination of the neck pickup in single coil mode, the overdrive, and the fact that he's cleaned it up a bit by rolling back the volume knob. Suuuper nice gear too.

    • @ChinchillupaGuy
      @ChinchillupaGuy 9 років тому

      combatRidders i would pay ten grand for those magic fingers

    • @intrsoul
      @intrsoul 8 років тому +1

      +Chinchillupa Guy PRS are especially good at the "roll back the volume" feature - nearly unlimited tones if you have the patience to explore. You can do it with nearly any guitar though (and a good tube amp). There's a resister and capacitor combination called a "treble bleed" that you solder to the volume pot. Give it a Google.

    • @CorbCorbin
      @CorbCorbin 7 років тому

      ali k Looks like the compressor is first. But his setup seems straightforward with the SL after and the effects through the boost in the front of the amp. Sounds great, but that amp's overdrive is setting up the tone so well.

    Does anyone know what the board is? I am looking at innox boards as they are a much cheaper alternative to the pedaltrain boards. I am trying to find innox boards on youtube and this video is what the search brings up.

      People that act like this in videos, I tend to believe what they are saying, simply because they don't act all over-confident. And I actually don't see what you are pointing at. Maybe because people tell me I come over like this as well - especially when talking about stuff I really know.
