In this video, we separate energy usage into 2 large categories, baseload energy usage and seasonal energy usage. This is the first step when assessing where energy use is coming from and how to improve home energy efficiency and save money. Once you know what percentage of your energy costs are coming from your heating and cooling as opposed to your baseload energy usage, you can calculate the return on investment of any home energy upgrade you're considering.
