More power to you. Buying a first year redesign is in itself a hefty gamble; not to mention a HEFTY price tag. I guess it’s all about bragging rights and “likes and subscribes”!👍🏻
Congrats! Check the hood rubber stops at each front corner. You can twist them counter clockwise and they will be tighter when you close the hood. That may help. Will wait for the 4 runner to check out the iforce max.
Thanks! It’s not that. The front doesn’t budge. The edges by the fenders do not either. It’s the center of the hood itself that rattles. Appreciate the suggestion nonetheless! I have the 4Runner on my hit list as well. 😁
My guess is that the cause of the hood vibration is aero-related, i.e., the shape of the hood and airflow differences between the top and bottom surfaces. Or the way in which the air flows over the hood is causing aerodynamic lift, like an airplane's wing.
I heard that putting a wrap on the hood will take care of the rattling noise. it's more or a band aid but at least it's an option to dampen the rattling noise.
Dealers have no problem trying to hold you to a deal if they’ve taken a deposit from you - you should have the same rights. They owe you a truck for the agreed upon price. Hood rattle for $65K?!?? I wonder if it’s because of the fake hood scoop that doesn’t need to be there. Buy a Raptor or ZR2.
Quality justfies the price of the ADD bumper? Yes. I think you're misunderstanding that statement. More adjustability, different valving, and longer extended length on the Kings.
Looking good sick 😮! People here really complaining about the price lol. If I had the money and a business I would buy whatever and wouldn’t care of price since it would be something I want! Money does buys happiness 🤣.
My hood does the same thing. My dealer said it’s normal. Seems like the weight of the scoop and lack of structural support on the back of the hood are the culprit. I believe it’s also aluminum. Seems like two support bushings in the back would solve the issue. A little annoying for such an expensive truck. Not a dealbreaker though.
Yea, I'm starting to hear everyone that has one say the same. I was going to give it some time. If Toyota doesn't do anything, we'll fab a bracket with rubber hood stoppers or something to solve the issue. The sides seem to be okay, it's just more towards the center. Nonetheless, I personally think the truck is still worth every penny.
