Hi guys, I am currently visiting Troyes and happened to see your film. The plaques on the floor of the city are the indication of the city tour routes. There is a self audio tour with a paper map which is numbered for each tourist spot to follow. So the triangle plaques are the direction guide.

This is interesting, thank you! We thought it had something to do with the historic pilgrimage routes like you can find in other cities such as Rouen or Chartres. Good to know! We hope you enjoy Troyes. We loved the architecture there.

@@AntonandSinan I am overwhelmed by the old town buildings and their conservation work. It's a city I feel like revisiting. I'm heading to Dijon now! Have a good day.

Medieval Troyes had a large Jewish population, especially before the Crusades. Rabbi Shlomo Ben Yitzahi, better known as Rashi, a famous and one of the most influential iBiblical and Talmudic scholars on all of Jewish history lived in Troyes.

We didn’t know that! It seems he was very influential indeed. Thank you for the info.

Bro that symbol is the Knights Templar from Assasins Creed. They're pretty much the ops.

Apparently it is the Templier (Templar) emblem of the tourist route of the city center. The knight of the Order of the Temple guides the steps of tourists through the historic heart of the city. Or maybe they are just big fans of the game in the townhouse 😂 Either way, we had no idea when we were filming.

Is it dangerous? We had no idea 😂 It looked fine to us when we were there.

Thanks for the upload, glad you enjoyed the city. However, like Disneyland? Oh please it’s absolutely nothing like that. Disneyland is a fantasy place with scaled down buildings bearing no relation to the real thing apart from dubious designs vaguely reflecting the past. . Of course it’s not meant to be anything else. Troyes is the real thing and couldn’t be further removed.

Salut! Thank you for the comment. Anton said “Disneyland of medieval times”, meaning it was almost like a fantasy land for someone who appreciates medieval architecture. It has nothing to do with the actual Disneyland.
