    Was there a balcony for Marie Antionette or only chairs on the floor? The stage scenery looked awesome. I don’t want to say I was envious, but I was envious. lol

      @AntonandSinan 2 дні тому

      Excellent question, there was no balcony and the royal couple would just take the central bench. It was a theatre for the Queen’s private use, so it was much more intimate than one would expect. As for the stage, trust us, WE WISH we could record it, it felt incredible to be standing there, looking at the audience. If you have a chance, definitely visit this theatre. Sometimes they take the visitors there as part of the guided visit of Petit Trianon (we also have a video on that). So you can try your luck if the dedicated visit to this theatre is unavailable, get the Petit Trianon guided tour.

      It’s one of the most beautiful chapels we have ever seen and been to. And to think that la Galerie des Glaces (the Hall of Mirrors) cost less than a half of what this chapel cost is absolutely mind blowing! And people come to see la Galerie, but just rush by the chapel without realizing the beauty that’s hidden within. Just incredible!

In fact, I made sure that every comment filtering option is deactivated on our channel. Thank you for the compliment about the haircut, it’s summer, so I thought why not 😂 As for people working in Paris and living outside of it. It’s actually what many people do. @@AntonandSinan Salut Anton! Correct,2nd time. I remember I shared with you before. Thia hairstyle suits you great. The old one also,but it's a big difference. Which is great 😊. I was assuming the same,as I know rentals are quite expensive in general there. But I know you two are very city people. You like to feel the dynamic around. Paris is a city to be and feel fully. With the great and the bad points. Would you mind making a video( one day)with your personal favourite arrondissements and the reasons why? That would be greatly appreciated. Have a great day! 🌞🍀🇫🇷

      @@AntonandSinan Super! Very happy that you accept the idea with open arms. I know it would be a bit diffetent video,but you both are now enough experienced with the city. There are fantastic areas indeed,but also coming with a price tag. So perhaps opinion of rentals,food difference( where locals eat,where is excellent,where not so much,shops,markets,hidden treasure streets,more cool and friendly vibe,more pretentious,etc. Since it's a walkable city,where it makes more sense to live for slightly more affordable everyday life and easily walk if one fancy more upscale vibe. Where are the areas that it feels more relaxed and authentic atmosphere and friendly people,mixed crowd,etc. I watched some time ago a video about an old bar called 'Le Nant' I think,in 18 arrond. An older gentlemqn is the owner. Trying to keep the authenticity of the place and the prices low. Many people are going there to support him by being his loyal customers. He is in his 70's. You are welcome. That would have been definitely a unique experience had it been a hotel! By the way, the word hôtel in old French means "a home, or a residence" and hence why you will always find a hôtel de ville - a house of the city, ie where the mayor sits. And same applies to hôtel particulier - meaning a private mansion (usually very luxurious) or hôtel-Dieu - meaning a hospital. Neither hôtel de ville, hôtel particulier, nor hôtel-Dieu have anything to do with what we understand as a hotel in a modern sense 😊

      The door she used is on the other side of her chambre. One can connect to it via le cabinet de la chaise the connecting door for which you can see at 2:00 mark. The three spaces are interconnected, la Méridienne, le cabinet de la chaise and l’escalier (the staircase). By saying « this space » we mean the entire three connected areas as we were literally next door to it. We didn’t say she fled through la Méridienne. Apologies for the confusion.

    Guys! This place!!! 😳😍😳 The city,the chateau,the chapelle,the church,the buildings and the stone colour of the city,the river the views.... honestly,completely agree with you,it's fantastic. It's gorgeous. One of the best cities you share with us. I heared the name before,but knew nothing about it- yes,I am ignorant 🤭🙃 I don't know really what words to use to express how much I like it. The chateau is incredible. I adore chateaux. The stone figures inside were extremely realistic. The faces and all the details so delicately made. And everything else inside. Stunning. The chapelle is amazing. The color glass,omg,the ornaments. Then the church. First time I see the long candles inside and not the tea ones. Interesting. The view with the river from the hotel area is to die for. The garden,I believe you. I can only imagine. This was a Great episode. It feels quite special there. The stone cold colour of the city looks beautiful. Not grey and moody for some reason. Perhaps the beauty compensate somehow. I am going to check now on the map where is this exactly from Paris. How much you paid for the round tickets,if you don't mind? Sinan,did you feel like the throne was made for you? 😄 It's suits you. Anton,you always express yourself very good,especially when you are impressed,or you really like a place. I could feel it. Super trip,love it! Merci guys 👍🏻🌞🇫🇷

      Salut! We are so glad you enjoyed this episode! Blois is definitely special! Sinan says the throne was perfect! 🤣 We paid only 20€ total as there was a promo. Normally the price ranges between 65 and 90€ round trip for two. And it’s not even far from Paris, that’s what makes it annoying. It makes no sense. This year the train tickets have gone up by a very large margin, unfortunately. The cost was never this high. Hopefully they come to their senses eventually. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    Gosh - this is SO wonderful! I loved it when you said it felt magic standing on the Stage where you knew Marie Antoinette had stood and felt time had stood still - that’s just what I would have felt! You are both sensitive guys and so you will feel such things that’s why you appreciated it so much. You give such great information - and your filming is amazing! Thank You.

    I LOVE you guys! 🙂 I can’t even leave my house and in another country, and so to see all this and these BEAUTIFUL Private Rooms of Marie Antoinette is SO wonderful - Thank You SO much! I think you got chills because you were picking up Marie's 'presence'. I was feeling it here too - and I wasn’t even there! I feel a strong connection to this great Lady - what BEAUTIFUL taste she had! I just don’t know how they could do those wicked things to her - it breaks my heart... She may have lived a lavish lifestyle - but she certainly paid for it dearly with what happened to her, and so we cannot begrudge it... It’s amazing how they’ve managed to keep everything as it was for all these years! I do envy you both for seeingit and actually being there... Please keep up the good work in your support of her; she will love you both for it!

    Thanks SO much guys - great Video; I always wanted to see this! Marie Antionette was innocent of all the Charges brought against her - you know that of course. May she rest in peace and God Bless her.

    Salut Guys! 😳😳 wow! Thank you for showing this special part. I am just watching and keeping quiet..it's incredible the atmosphere. And this is on screen. I can only imagine the feeling of being there. Is it generally on the darker side in there,or just the camera? Very,very interesting. All the details,furnitures,style. And the garden in sooo beautiful I agree! Those lemons and roses 🤩. It's a must visit this place. That's for sure. Never been there,so thank you so much! 👍🏻✨️🤍

      Salut! Glad you enjoyed this! Yes, it was rather dark inside and the camera was working its best in those lighting conditions. Some rooms were lit with dim lights and the daylight was not let in to preserve the items inside, especially the fabrics and colour that can be very fragile to direct sunlight. You should definitely visit it whenever you have an opportunity to. It’s totally different from the rest of the domain.

    lovely to see Marie-Antoinette's chambers. I have been inside that massive space where the citrus trees spend the winter. It's gigantic.

      It truly is gigantic! We were also lucky that it was fully open. Apparently, in order to go inside l’Orangerie building, you’ve got to have a guide with you these days, but it was open when we visited. The architecture is spectacular, those trees have some fabulous winter residence 😂
