Rey is more pure than Anikin so she deserves to be the one to save the galaxy. What kind of stupid story has the 2nd most powerful Sith kill the most powerful after decades of being evil because of their love for his son? Boring! It makes more sense that Palpatine's granddaughter who wasn't even born yet kill him decades later after the galaxy was at peace because he decided to show his face and make a Sith in a tube. What makes the story even better is no one knew he was alive not even the bad guys. Can't wait to see that movie!!!

Jager yeah you can’t use the same trooper type for each battle unless you want to lose 60% of the time because they either die or are easily spotted
Mr. Anderson not really if you want a more effective army your going to have to have different troopers for different climates and situations the clones had it as well as this specific trooper was given better visibility so they don’t constantly crash into things even if stormtroopers are expendable they should still at least be affective and while they did all end up crashing they had never encountered a situation like that they are clearly scouts used to relay information and because of this that’s why they’re lightly armed with only one blaster
I think he means the stormtrooper armor on Endor is different from the normal, even though it’s still the same white and gray as the standard armor. I don’t think he meant anything about camouflage.

Palpatine died. He straight up says it in the Rise of Skywalker. What happened was his force spirit was put into a clone body, using science now being shown in the Mandolorian, as well as Sith power, talked about in Revenge of the Sith.

If I remember right, the entire series was written before Episode IV was released. The only reason Lucas started with IV was because the special effects at the time didn't let him do the things he wanted with I, II and III. So this was definitely intentional

I can actually answer the "impersonating a deity" conundrum. Droids in the Star Wars universe are regularly memory wiped to keep them from developing personalities. Thats why R2 and 3P0 have all the quirks they do. They haven't been memory wiped since shortly after the end of Ep3. Thus while 3P0 knows its against the rules he is able to disreguard the order and do it anyway even though it makes him uncomfortable. It's also why he once claims not to be much of a storyteller to Luke in Ep4 but mesmerizes the Ewoks with a story in Jedi. Protocol droids are given limited imagination to keep them from embellishing translations but 3P0 has outgrown his programming limitations through experience.

R2 was never wiped
In Episode 9, even though he is friends with everyone, he still won't go against his programming to do something for them and would make their quest easier though.

He stated that it was likely implemented during the Republic Era, since Palpatine is a Sith, and having someone who can translate it and give the information to his future apprentices' wife or future apprentice to put more attention on him because of the use of a forbidden language would result in complications.
R2-D2 was programmed by Anakin shortly after episode 1 to not be able to be memory wiped in Laments terms...

The one problem I always had with this, even as a kid, is how when Yoda is dying Luke doesn't give a shit. He is obsessed with himself without offering any comfort to this poor dying creature. I know it's all for the good of the Jedi but surely Yoda deserves a bit of compassion and comfort instead of being grilled on his death bed? It's all about Luke. Even when he first met Yoda he was unbelievably rude and unthankful.
Same with Luke when he first met Leia in Hope. She just lost her planet and everyone she ever loved, he lost some old dude he met like 24hrs ago (if we are not including Obi-Wan the series), yet he is the one that needs comforting. Luke is kind of a self centered asshole haha.

One of your sins is wrong. When leia is talking about her mother's death, shes not referring to Padme but actually to Queen Breha Organa, her adopted mother. Leia has absolutely no idea, up until that conversation, that Bail and Breha aren't her real parents.

I unabashedly love the Yub Nub song. As a 9 year old, I saw Empire Strikes Back 19 times in the theatre. As a 12 year old- my expectations for ROTJ were impossibly high, yet this movie lived up to the hype. All three original trilogy movies are 10/10 in my book.
A 12 year old with high expectations? Do 12 year olds even get disappointed by entertainment? 12 year olds loved the prequel’s in the 90s and early 2000s.

I'm with Jesse. Same age. My brothers and I watched the original 3 movies on VHS repeatedly. I knew every line to the first two movies. I remember waiting in line to see ROTJ at a matinee showing. I liked the song. I thoroughly hated the changes they introduced to the originals.
Actually yes, creating your own personal light saber is part of your force training, because you have to use the force to find the kyber crystals and even the actual physical design is inspired by your connection to the force.

I think the reason Vader always gives Obi-Wan the credit for Luke's skill is because Vader thinks of him and Luke as fundamentally the same. Obi-Wan raised Anakin and taught him everything he knew, so he MUST have done the same for Luke, rather than just watching over him from a distance for 20 years. I don't think Vader knows that Owen and Beru were the ones actually raise Luke (correct me if I'm wrong, but they're basically never mentioned again in the movies after their deaths in ANH). Even if he senses Yoda, he's gonna assume that the bulk of the training was done by Obi-Wan in Luke's childhood, as it was for the Jedi, rather than when Luke's in his early twenties.
Aunt beru and uncle Owen were done dirty. Never given the backstory treatment raising like they deserved and never brought up again from

as i get older i do see that the ewoks were kind of a weak point, especially during the battle. and there was a lot more dialogue than action compared to others. and this film suffered the most from the special editions i feel
that said, when there is action such as during the final act with the 3 scenes going on at once, as well as the jabbas palace scene, are SPECTACULAR. this film had the best space battle in my opinion. and vaders redemption scene is definitely my favorite part of the movie as i love anakin/vaders character.
despite its problems this is definitely my favorite of all 6 films. the best finale the series could have had

You know I've managed to watch this movie multiple times without ever realizing one of those lightning bolts from the Emperor actually makes Vader's skeleton/internal robotics show up through his armour in cartoonish form (16:45 in this video).

I like to think his backstory was that he was one of those incompetent officers who covers his mistakes by shifting the blame on to others, and managed to charm the right people to get promotions and ended up on the deck of Admiral Ackbar's ship in a full-on battle. Completely out of his depth, he's just winged it. His job was to run the scans to detect whether the death star shield was active and whether there were any imperial ships in the vicinity. Probably ended up getting promoted to admiral eventually.

The funny thing about that escape plan and Luke not having his saber is that it required R2D2, who actually has his saber, to be put onto the barge with Jabba.
What would he have done if R2D2 just got captured and dismantled? Or if he wasn't on the barge? That seemed like alot of things to go right just to have his light Saber at the right time when he could of had it all along anyway

I always felt that Han saying "Thanks, Luke, I owe you one" was a sin. First, as you say Luke still owed him another, and it's very un-Han Solo, like if he'd said "I love you too." He should have said "Thanks, but remember you still owe me one more, kid!"
Also, it's a sin that they left a Y-Wing fighter on Tatooine that Leia or Lando could have flown back. The fleet needed every ship for the attack on the Death Star. That could have saved lives!

Honestly its very interesting to see that Luke didn't quite truly trust the force which can be shown by him not using it when he could.
Someone pointed out to me that Luke wearing black and force-choking an alien was supposed to make us think he was being tempted by the dark side of the force.

Also: Where did Leia get that pretty new dress she was wearing at the Ewoks village? Was she wearing it under her uniform? Or did they make a human-style dress just for her when Wicket brought her in? How did they know how to make human-style dresses? Ewoks don't wear anything but hoods to cover their neck seams, and the occasional belt or animal skull helmet.

More than likely in the distant past, a protocol droid crash landed on Endor and the Ewoks worshipped it as a god. After he finally left or "died" he was prophesied to return.
In all seriousness there are other big furry creatures on the planet like Yuzzums, and Goraxes, so Chewie wouldn't be anything special. And apparently the ewok gods are described as golden.

Some chick on the other side of the galaxy was how it was "supposed" to play out. I read they threw in that comment "there is another" to make audiences think Luke could die or be captured. Then he decided Luke had a sister, then decided he didn't want it to go another 3 films so made her Leia (or Ilea from Children of Dune).

All Padawans/soon to be Jedi, must go through something called “great trials” and I’m not kidding, they all have to do something that can prove they are worthy of being a true Jedi Knight. Some are facing a Sith Lord (obi-wan vs Darth maul) (Anakin vs Count Dooku) some are just specific for them like Ahsoka and how she was framed for the bombing of the temple, after she recovered from that, it was considered her great trial and she was able to become a Jedi Knight.
Shigar Konshi helped defeat the Hex droids on Sebaddon to be granted the rank of Jedi Knight.

Is it in the films? It's not, is it? So it's nonsense. Obi-Wan was considered unready by everyone, being really good at combat (and even then, winning via cunning) doesn't seem an appropriate reason to become a knight given the rest of the films.

The original lightsabre battles look awful in comparison to the modern ones but this was the best of the old.
