Definitely need to have the slower swing speed videos on more clubs, especially the new drivers that have are hitting the market. You have already provided reviews on most of them for the higher swing speed, now let's see how they perform with the slower speed.
Great video I wish I had as nice a swing that Jackie has. There are so many of us that are in this swing speed range. Definitely need more of these tests as well as comparing different bands. One of my students just purchased a set of 710s and a neighbor has a set of the 425s. Very interesting. I'd like to see her test more of the new game improvement clubs. Cobra, Mizuno, Wilson etc. Even some of the super game improvement hybrid types. Very informative. Great idea.
getting fitted by Ping next week here in Ireland, was going for the g425 irons but love the look of the 710s , my swing speed is only around 65 to 70 mph due to shoulder injury, was thinking about the Alta distance shafts, what did you get ? thanks
Thanks for changing up the swing speed since there are so many of us that just cant swing fast enough to carry a 7iron 180 yrds but really like to see the dispersion and consistency numbers between heads.

Great video Thomas.. That Chart from Ping is very informative and confirms my poor fitting from Club Champion NJ which i had in March 2019. As ive said in a different post I was custom fit for Callaway Apex Pro Forged irons at CLub Champion NJ and ultimately wasn’t satisfied based upon these #’s with 7 iron on Trackman indoors: Club Speed: 80.0 mph Ball Speed: 108.5 mph Smash: 1.36 Launch; 18.0 deg. Spin: 4465 rpm Carry: 155.3 yds total: 167.8 yds Height: 75 ft. Side: 3R ft. Attack Angle: -5.0 deg. Based on the Ping Chart, with a 7-Iron Swing Speed of 80.0 mph and a ball speed of 108.5 mph a Mid Stopping power should be launch of 16-18 deg ( I was 18) and a spin of 6000-6500 and a for High Stopping power launch should be 17-19 deg ( I was right on the money at 18 deg) and spin at 6250-7000 rpm. My spin at 4465 was ridiculously low and was about 1000 less than LOW stopping power ! After playing about 20 rounds with them in 2019 i decided to sell them after watching YT vids here and TXG in Canada and realizing i wasn’t fit correctly. Now after watching this video today and seeing that Ping 7 iron landing angle chart this really opens my eyes to this revealing data. I know for certain i wont be going back to Club Champion for my next fitting ! My plan is to drive nearly 2 hours to your Wilmington DE location when i can get my SS up to where it was 2 years ago. I had shoulder surgery in December 2019 and haven’t hit a ball or played a round since Sept 2019. What is your recommendation on the Power Spec for the G425? Do you still get the height with longer distance? TM Sim 2Max has similar stronger loft as the Power Spec and they claim it gets the same high flight due to MOI or CG or whatever they do with the irons?

Just switched from Mizuno 919 hot metal pros with stiff steel shaft to Ping G425 with regular graphite shaft. Noticeably higher ball flight and distance. I’m a 75mph 7 iron swing speed and 56 years old so only going to get slower over time. Reckon the G425s will help me get down to single digits from current 15.1 hcp.
I would like to get fitted for Ping 425 irons with added length of 1/4 to 1/2 inch - my stance is more upright- I’m a standard black dot - can this be done with success- any concerns?

G425 has a better grouping/tighter dispersion and more peak hight so it will stop quicker on a green. And you gained extra distance. I should go with that.

Great video. Question, with lofts being so diff these days, when using that ping 7 iron chart, should we use which ever iron hits the same distance of a "normal 7 iron?" for example, my ping g400 7i goes 155, for equal comparison should I compare Maverick 8 iron since the lofts are so jacked? Does that make sense? So if Ping says I should be 5500-6500 spin for my 155 iron then I should compare each manufacturers iron that goes 155ish to be same comparison? Like a 8i Maverick vs g425 7iron vs ping i210 6 iron?
This is just silly. Her current 716 AP2 7 iron loft is 34* and the new 7 irons hit are 29.5* and 30*. Of course she picked up one club length in distance. She could just hit her 30* AP2 6 iron.
Lol my 7 iron goes like 185 average and my fastest and longest 7 iron was 199.8 carry (I hit it as hard a possible) btw I am a 15 year old boy! 🤣 lol im not huge either i weigh 118 lbs and I have only played golf for like a 2 years

With reasonable swing speeds. Why test a G710 with a 100mph 7 iron tester?
I have the 710s and I went from struggling to breaking 100 to breaking 90 with an 89 score last weekend after 2 months of using the 710s!

@@jonwright8236 I got stiff shafts. My swing speed is late 80s to mid 90s depending on how well my back feels that day. :)

G425, Titleist T300, TaylorMade Sim 2, Mizuno Hot Metal would be some to look into. Yes could could play G425 for a long time - Thomas

I wonder how the 525 compares to these. The 525 are often compared to 500, 210, or 59 only.
