Correction: there was more than just one of that chest design in Elden ring. Another location you can find one is at the Perfumer's Ruins north of the elevator after beating Makar. I would like to see the mimics return as well though I doubt they would for a fast paced game such as Nightreign where checking chests could become tedious
I think a sick fast paced mimic would be one that gives you a qte that if you miss you take damage then have a mini boss. With counters being ready for a qte at every chest, hitting every chest or using an item like Loids talisman
2 notable things i think were cool that At 5:50 the deflection seems to be able to break enemies posture without the need to hit them (like in sekiro) And in the shot were the the archer hits that big enemy it seems that it can interrupt grab attacks (you can see another player fall from inside his mouth after the hit)
I see the game dying fast because of that. No pvp either, no invasions. Really repetitive and just killing the same bosses and enemies we’ve already killed

I'm pumped! Can't wait to become someone's loot while listening to Kota Hoshino's tracks in battles in a game by the person who likely orchestrated the first Radahn fight in Elden Ring plus countless other bangers.
I really hope there will be the storylines and interactions with other heros going on depending on character you pick, so in such case it could be really interesting to replay the game character by character. And in such case this game could stand on its own not just a little side project.
It does have its own story between the characters I think. The lady everyone thought was the firekeeper, duchess, interacts with wylder and seems to be the one instructing him of the need to fight, so I feel like they probably will have interaction. It’s interesting because npcs in nightreign seem to be more than just still talking stations, because the duchess does animations never see on an npc before, like unsheathing her sword and flipping it, so this creates an interesting lens into the future of souls characters where they might be able to actually move and interact in different ways, with each other and with you.
The wolf boss reminds me of the cut Bloodborn boss. "Great One Beast," or something. I mean, you could say the same about Wolf of Radagon, but they love bringing back old designs and improving upon them.
I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker, but it's definitely a dumb decision, IMO. Its going to make the co op part much harder to play when you have to worry about 3 people schedules

Fromsoft is going to have to make "communication" between randos good for duos queueing up with a rando. If the game is lacking in that or the game being too unbalanced to take on enemies by yourself while in a trio, that is going to weigh heavily on its chances for success.
The game was made as a 3 player game first and formost, then solo seems to have been added as a mode to play, because FS has always wanted to have the ability to play offline, so solo is needed. Then on the front of the bosses, the word main boss seems very wrong, rather final bosses is more accurate, as main boss means that other bosses that aren't main bosses are demoted to minor bosses rather then just bosses, while final boss only indicates that it is a grander fight then the normal bosses. As for the amount of bosses basic logic helps make a full estimate, in 8 Final bosses, then probably 8 variants of bosses on 3 difficulties for the 3 nights, so 3 x 8 + 8 final bosses is 32 bosses, then with at least 2 stalker bosses in Morgat and the Omin, that based on the interviews seem to be separate events from the normal day night progression, so 34 bosses, then the field bosses, which we have assumed to have seen 3 of, these are the 3 DS bosses shown so far, as the lighting seems a bit too bright to be the days end night boss, so I would assume them to be pictures and clips takes during the day, so if we know of 3, then it's like that there are variations as well so maybe 3 variants for 3 field bosses making 34 + 9, so a total of 43 bosses, on an estimate that I would assume to be reasonable. Though outside of, the 3 DS bosses, 8 Final bosses, a Tree Sentinel boss and the 2 Stalker bosses nothing else is confirmed, so for now it's safe to assume that there are 14 to 50 bosses in the game, and a lot of them are probably tweaked versions of ER and other Souls bosses, to better fit the new combat speed and flow, so even if it's technically copy paste, I would doubt that it will feel the same to fight the known bosses again.

if you pay attention, almost no Bandai namco has crossplay, not just elden ring. Bandai namco also manages the servers and online aspect, so fromsoft literally doesn’t have a choice lmao.
okay let me clarify somethings, Nameless king, Duke Freja and centipede demon ARE NOT BOSSES that you fight at then end of the night, they are random encounters throughout the day, same as margit he can invade you throughout the day too, however you can fight morgot at night aslong as he didnt invade you. We only know of 2 Main bosses or nightlords that being the Dog and the centaur. Also yes, old boss will be revamped they have said boss such as centipede demon will get new attacks and phases to better fit co-op combat.
Anybody else notice at the end of the trailer the three hero’s open a door going into darkness. A door that looks very suspiciously like the throne of want from DS2?

About the story, even though it's not canon, I believe that something bigger made the Dark Souls universe intersect with that of Elden Ring, the trailer made me believe that, but I could be wrong.
I'm pretty sure the iconic bosses of souls games will be on second night, and the more easy on the first. And that "field/day" bosses will be big ennemies with some new patterns (Black knights, Omens, Zamor ...). And I think there could be a ninth new final or hidden boss. Finally in the base Elden Ring, we only have a dozen big bosses, so 8-9 for a low budget game is not bad.

I hope that the Recluse (Mage character) influencers how Casters play in the future. Because to be honest, Caster gameplay has been really really stagnant post-DS2. After 2014's DS2, all Casters have gotten is: Return to FP Spells Channel Spells Charge Spells Movement Spells (Dash, Jump, Roll, and Walk) That's basically it for the positive and not the negative changes, nothing really new, just quality of life changes to an already existing formula. No Affinity options, no Ash of War options, heavy overreliance on inflating damage, and Catalysts have no real gameplay options despite it suppose to be the weapon for Casters. Meanwhile, Martials on the other hand: Several new Weapon Types A mountain of Ash of Wars New Affinities Resource-less Ranged Attacks FromSoft please, give Casters an actual gameplay update and stop trying to make them play as Spellblades instead.
Casters got healing spells in Elden ring and the DLC. Casters could also use torches because there is quite variety added. Though I agree with the mage stuff maybe more unique spells could be a solution.
@rafsandomierz5313 Casters have always gotten heal spells. The only minor variation I can think of that's unique to Elden Ring, is the Minor Erdtree heal spell. Torches have the same problem as Catalysts, their basic attack is a bonk that hits like wet tissue paper. No Affinities, and No Ash of War variety. I'm talking about revamping Catalysts to be treated as functional weapons for Casters, rather than a glorified tool item that happens to take up a hand slot: Affinities Ash of War variety Basic FP-Free Spell Attacks Buffs Guard Counters (or a Spell Wheel instead of Block) Having a small passive FP regen for all characters would be nice, with Catalysts required to land their basic attack to Rally more FP back. It would greatly increase Caster interaction with encounters, especially if they got rid of the Cerulean Tears concept as a whole. I'd gladly take all this instead of burying Casters under bloated Spell Damage Rings, Armor, and similar Passive effects.
What I'm worried about is fromsoft track records of multiplayer system since armored core 5 are always trash, I'm not surprise on nightreign's restricted shits

Another location the DS1 chest returns is in the tower overlooking the northern path heading into the capital, protected by the trebuchets.

No Affinity options, no Ash of War options, heavy overreliance on inflating damage, and Catalysts have no real gameplay options despite it suppose to be the weapon for Casters.
Meanwhile, Martials on the other hand:
Several new Weapon Types
A mountain of Ash of Wars
New Affinities
Resource-less Ranged Attacks
FromSoft please, give Casters an actual gameplay update and stop trying to make them play as Spellblades instead.
Casters got healing spells in Elden ring and the DLC.
Casters could also use torches because there is quite variety added.
Though I agree with the mage stuff maybe more unique spells could be a solution.

Casters have always gotten heal spells. The only minor variation I can think of that's unique to Elden Ring, is the Minor Erdtree heal spell.
Torches have the same problem as Catalysts, their basic attack is a bonk that hits like wet tissue paper. No Affinities, and No Ash of War variety.
I'm talking about revamping Catalysts to be treated as functional weapons for Casters, rather than a glorified tool item that happens to take up a hand slot:
Affinities
Ash of War variety
Basic FP-Free Spell Attacks
Buffs
Guard Counters (or a Spell Wheel instead of Block)
Having a small passive FP regen for all characters would be nice, with Catalysts required to land their basic attack to Rally more FP back. It would greatly increase Caster interaction with encounters, especially if they got rid of the Cerulean Tears concept as a whole.
I'd gladly take all this instead of burying Casters under bloated Spell Damage Rings, Armor, and similar Passive effects.
What I'm worried about is fromsoft track records of multiplayer system since armored core 5 are always trash, I'm not surprise on nightreign's restricted shits
