2. Bullet time Cord is more stabile if spun without using the stick

Dan Watson scratched up his lens using that stupid cord when the camera hit his car. My One X came with a cord too and I think it sucks. The pole would definitely be a lot safer to spin around if you really are into bullet time. Stupid gimmick, IMHO, just to sell more cameras after they get busted hitting into other people's heads.

I loved when you just gave the camera to Appelusa and let her do her thing. She was able to create a beautiful video with zero camera experience, although I'm sure your editing helped. It says a lot about the power of 360 video technology.

lol in pocket form, this is mind blowing quality. This is not, big setup live 8k. This is action cam. One word. HEAT
Feels more like a fancy toy than a functional tool for content creators. The footage is just way too blurry to consume on a screen that's bigger than a phone.
I'm not trying to say it's a bad 360 camera, but 360 cameras just not quite up there qualitywise.

This is a camera for casual, not professional use. It was meant to output to a smart phone for easy editing and sharing. If you want more resolution, you'll have to pay a lot more to get the quality you want. Insta360 actually has a more expensive camera (over 2 grand) and there are some that cost even more than that. But, yes, this is just a fancy toy for tourists and the gram.

There are many content creators that produce stuff only for insta, so for those ppl its actually an awesome addition to add to like stories or highlights etc
it is a fancy toy BUTTTT don't wait for 2050 for a "decent" 360 camera.

I've seen a lot of reviews about camera gear and about this particular camera, but the format used in this review was really entertaining.
I have never thought of using a 360 camera for a serious shoot, but your last scene gave me some great ideas. If you bring the camera lower and people closer, you can skip the pan/cut to next person talking and get it done for real

No. There are some areas where the One R is better and some areas where the One X is better. It's more like a side grade.
I just watched the demo video on this camera. When you talk about how you prefer the older version of the bullet cam. It looks like the very end of the handle on the selfie stick comes down to do what you want to do.
I love my One X, and was hoping for improved video image quality after 2 years...but I guess no luck there 😩 maybe in another 2 years...😭

The awkwardness of Dylan´s face on that last 360 shot was another level on his own scale of awkwardness. Also, kind of a t-rex one with the distortion of the lens.
I was just talking about rollerskating with my coworkers but haven't done it since middle school at the roller rink - this is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
I came from a Gopro 360 and it was very hard to edit. I couldn't figure out how. I was key framing hard in Premiere which was ok but was mad work and the quality was just bad. Now, with the Insta360 X2 on the Note20.. the way the software is designed being so seamless, imo that w/ the camera is worth 10x more in value. The quality of the footage isn't garbage too. 100% the software w/ the Insta360 X2 is just amazing. I can't describe but it's just so damn easy. The interpolation is just so intelligent.

I feel like Gene is on of these reviewers whos reviews you really like, but can't trust. Because he is so good at shooting and editing that everything comes out great, regardless of product.

Thanks, considering buying one, I've been using the One R. Audio tip, your voice sounded muddy at the end. using a center channel extractor might pull it out. It sounds mid/side phasing problem. I use Ozone 9 to fix my passing issues. The first effects in my chain is a side channel extractor. pulling the mid channel down and pushing the side channel up will reduce muddiness. I adjust the L R pa in Ozone 9 too.
So glad to win the drone and fly it! Might also grab a insta360 later :)

I just love your enthusiasm. Great adea letting active sport people learn how to use the Insta360 cameras, and very interesting how this camera can have different visuals with different activities, I hope you continue this as a series with different sports. I have an Insta360 R One but this has made me interested in that upright model and maybe to get the upright battery and cage for the one R.

Looks dope as! The waterproof upgrade is probably the best new feature, as well as being able to add lens guards

As someone who got the original Insta360 for video. Im a bit disappointed that there's no improvements to video quality. It's decent(when viewed from a phone) but far from usable in a semiprofessional field. Maybe the mark iii will be the push to get it there.

I have no idea how people skate with toe stops, tried a while back and nearly busted my bottom. Ended up getting completely stopless plates, when I needed new ones.

I'm considering buying an insta360 camera. I'd rather get the best I can buy, it seems like a no brainer to get the Insta360 One R twin edition. What do you think? Can you do a video that compares the two per chance?
I feel like the 1 r is such a better buy, because you can have a normal action cam, or even the 1 inch sensor cam, then for the casual 360 you can pop the module on

I have owned the One X since it hit the market, and although I have had fun with it, I confess that I'm not obsessed. When the One R came out, the versatility definitely caught my attention, but having the One X and a GoPro 8, I have been cautious about buying the One R...and now the One X2...totally confused.
I get the X2's upgraded features...and they are interesting...but my question is around the updated app. Am I able to use all the app's features with the One X?
We have the same cams. I’m not in a rush to upgrade either. They’re fine for social media sharing IMO.

As someone who has the Insta360 ONE X as a second shooter, I can attest that having a 360 camera is very liberating for a video editor. But is the ONE X2 a worthy upgrade? hard to say, but if I have the spare change in my wallet, I might just invest in a third shooter for my workflow
$430 on preorder. Or you could look for sales on the OG.
