- We sailed onboard P&O's Iona for a 7 week Norwegian Fjords cruise in July 2024. This was the third day of our cruise onboard Iona and we were docked in the port of Stavanger. We spent the day exploring the city and back onboard we saw a fantastic performance from Lee Mead in The Limelight Club.
P&O's Iona is an excellence class cruise ship, who sailed her maiden voyage on the 7th August 2021. She is the sister ship to Arvia, who is the newest ship in the P&O fleet. She has 18 total decks and is able to carry a maximum of 5,206 passengers.

Great to see you guys exploring Stavanger - this was the last port on my first Norwegian cruise, and I absolutely loved it. If you're ever back, it's fun to walk the route of the little tourist train - it goes to a brilliant viewpoint just out of town, and a decent way to walk off some of the cruise food, ha!

Cobble stones can be very bad to walk over. Was that your parents? More cobble stones. Fish 'n Chips sounds good. On Carnival Cruise Line ships the Limelight Club doesn't serve food. Don't like ham hocks or anything with ham in it. The lamb looked good. The dessert looked good too. Would need to look the menu over. Looked the menu over. At the Limelight it's like a dinner theater. The menu looked okay. Not a disco fan. Olden might be a good port.
