8 speed swap for the win and that suspension swap is a great idea, in America they use a P71 Crown Vic IFS and SN95 Cobra IRS on these trucks but they’re getting rare now, a Soarer or SC300/400 setup is an awesome alternative.

Well the good ones at least, most are beat to shit and harder to find those IFS subframes in good nick

@@fazarshad3923 Hey Man, one of the e90s had problems. It was the water pump, taking BSD bus down and causing low voltage issues.

The TH400 is the best , if you frag it the C6 is the only way. The C6 eats so much power though.

Also why did he not chose to use the 1uz from the soarer those can hold big power also. Or did he only get the subframes and not a wrecked car.
Not sure about how the donor subframes arrived. But the 1uz won’t do much unopened. They like to lift heads likes it’s no one’s business haha.

I know the budget is not there, but since SR20s are expensive what about N20s on a D21 Hardbody Nissan pickup truck. Easily over 300hp and the power will be consistent.
F100 is smog exempt. The gt4 you are pretty close to the 25 year import rule on it if you are chasing a st205
@@TheMultiDouche the st215 version. I think that one was 1997. I liked the bubble eyes on those years. Even though the earlier pop up headlights are lighter. Caldinas had those engines too, if only the states would have gotten that engine in the Matrix XRS. That would have been bonkers!

But it’s been on the road with the 8spd since about 2 weeks after this went live.
The truck is sick. Feels much faster on the street now.
@@ZeroTo60Tube I have an e91 with a 408ci LS in that currently has a gs6-53d transmission in that I think would be much more versatile with an 8hp in (the adapter plate is the same for both transmissions too!)
Does anyone have the owners IG or UA-cam im building a f100 also and want to see how he swapped the suspension from a sc300.

Holly shit that's awesome! I had a 68 f100 as well. Had the 390ci fe block with a 3 speed manual. Would chirp 3rd without a problem. When I had mine the common swap was a Ford crown vic front subframe but nothing in the rear. If I knew about this kind of swap with the suspension I would have kept it. Gonna be a monster with the 8 speed!!!
I can’t stress enough how well it handles with these subframes and shocks. I was actually impressed. Looking forward to having 8 gear ratios to play with
