Richard - if you've got the 46/30 Absolute Black (which is the lowest - their other subcompact is 48/32), that's quite a drop from the standard 50/34 Ultegra. So, did you have any problems lowering the front mech sufficiently and setting it up ok? And do you get reliable shifting at the front? Cheers.
I've got to say Richard, this is easily the best bike and setup I've seen you running.. looks really comfortable and fast. Focus on feeding properly you will do well.. 😊
It's that upside down RockBros bag that does it right? Seriously though gone pretty light- once I've eaten my way through the top tube bag I'll be light as a feather.
Looking forward to your video of this trip Richard, I’ll be dot watching too. I know you’ve had it a long time now but is there any particular reason you chose the pedal cell over a dynamo hub? Cheers and good luck 🚴♂️👍
I think hanging a top tube bag upside down is a brilliant idea, if you don’t need immediate access to it. I’ve got 2 or 3 and using one upside down would save me buying a frame bag !
Good Luck 🍀 Richard 🚴🏿♂️💪🏽
Best of luck! See you in Llandudno maybe...
Have a good one mate.
Good luck Richard
Good luck. Hope you stay safe and have a great ride
I'm very interested to see how you get on with the PedalCell charging system.

Good luck to you and Chris. 👍
Best of luck Richard, will be watching the Dot.
Thanks Tom. When is your LEJOG? Or rather JOGLE.
@@BikepackingAdventures 1st August start , really looking forward to getting stuck in.
Nice arrangement. I run 32mm conti GP5000 on my road bike for time trials and group rides so you definitely haven't gone too wide.
Best of luck 🍀

...and gives easier access to the second bidon too - just got to remember to zip it up again after use!😅
Ride safe Richard..
Liquid skin or Lizard skin bar tape 😂 Good luck with the race.
Yes you are correct. I hadn't prepared to talk about bar tape 😁
Why faff around with a dynamo? Pack a 10 A-hr battery pack and be done.
I'm guessing it is because he's not reliant on finding places and time that fit with his ride plan to get it recharged this way.
