This show changed my life, I’m a trucker, spend a lot of time alone,, watching on the app is so easy,, I’m blessed,, I’ll never think of Jesus the same way again,, he’s real, the Apostles are real,, Mary Magdalene is real, and the Blessed Virgin Mother is awesome
she isn't a virgin after Jesus was born. She had many other children.

We walk by faith, not by sight, and this man is Not Jesus, and God forbids images. And these series are not biblical, they add so many unbiblical things in it. The Bible clearly says not to add or take away from scripture. Please pick up your Bible and read It to get to know the real Jesus. God bless you.
@@sadiebenson1888 many times Dallas will refer us to read scripture. He says his aim is to lead us to reading our bibles. There are many interpretations of scripture by many who consider themselves theologians. You may be one of them. But I can assure you that the thousands of people that are being drawn back to God because of this series speaks more to my heart than the negative interpretation you have shared. No one is saying that Jonathan is actually Jesus for goodness sake. But Jonathan does bring the beauty and joy of experiencing Jesus in your life to the lost or those seeking Jesus with pure authenticity.

It is historical fiction but, unlike Braveheart or Macbeth, It is meant to stick as closely to the Bible as well as the Jewish history and culture as is possible. If you compare The Chosen to the Bible, you haven't listened. It is meant to encourage us to delve more deeply into the Bible.
I cry everytime I watch that episode. The episode where Nicodemus can't bring himself to drop his life and go with him. He wants to so badly but he's old and could not do it. When he's sobbing around the corner I'm bawling with him every time.
I think if he was single and didn't have a family he would have went.
I see your point but I think his age was a small part of the problem. His wife CLEARLY was not on board with anything new. Even if it was the truth but against what she was taught and believed to be true all of her life. Nicodemus was ripe and ready for harvest his wife however was not... This was a sad scene on many levels from Nicodemus point of view.
And Jesus knew he was there.

My favorite moment with Mother Mary was when Jesus finally came back to the camp, bloody and exhausted, she ran to care for her son and washed his hands and feet. She alone saw his weariness. Great acting but exactly what a mother would do!
True it feels as if the son is definitely longing for the touch of his mom .
The talent pool in "The Chosen" is so deep. It's very hard to have a favorite.

@@1960taylor She does an exceptional job at portraying this complex real woman whom not much is know and their is much misinformation about her. What a wonderful actress and very well cast for this series. I think we all have the great privilege of seeing a more mortal and real life view of the daily lives of these great men and women. This will ultimately make an incredible impact all over the world bringing many to Christ but also establishing more understanding and perspective for all who take the time to view this series.

I know that The Chosen team is aware of this, but I want to say it anyway: the amount of richness afforded to all of us as fans by the livestreams and videos offered up is indescribable. What we are blessed to see and to hear from cast, crew, writers, and everyone associated with The Chosen brings so much texture and insight to our viewing experience and makers the show all the more meaningful. And I say this about all aspects of the production of the show - lighting, special effects, make-up, the "behind the scenes" features about filming - literally everything. Perhaps a similar effort has been made or is being made for other shows and films, and I am simply unaware of them, but it's hard for me to imagine such a thing happening in the industry outside of The Chosen All of this material and the glimpses of the entire process simply increase the meaningfulness of the show and lead me to both support The Chosen and to spread the word about its quality and relevance. Thank you, all!
Right? I think just like you. The way I like to put it is:
We may come across our favorite celeb/artist on the street; and if we do, we'd usually ask them for an autograph or a selfie. However, I think that if we see someone from The Chosen, either a cast member or a crew member that we recognize, such as the three writers, our first impulse would probably be asking them for a big bear hug. Because we don't just enjoy and admire their work, but also genuinely grow fond of all of them.

I was awe struck when she, as I would, ran to her son, who was in pain and clearly suffering and began to care for him. A grown man is still a mother's sweet boy...and this scene was all of us mom's washing our child's feet, hands and face. This scene would have pulled at all the mother's hearts in the world. Yes, he is God, but he's also my baby boy. 💞💞💞
Your comment just brought tears to my eyes! Every mom felt that way! You know the song…”Mary did you know that your baby boy…you kissed the face of God!” But he’s still my baby boy no matter how old, and I will do everything to comfort and soothe my son’s wounds and pain. But the only pain she couldn’t take away was the pain that took on all our sun on that cross--Thank you Jesus for what you’ve done for all of us who let You in! AMEN!
As a man, and a son, and more relative to the comment, a mommas boy, this comment has tears jumping out of my eyes. Cause I felt the love of a mother in that scene too, they do such a great job of blending everything else into the background of it.
It took only about 2 seconds of her looking at him in awe, after him coming back so exhausted, broke the tension, and made everyone feel bad, before she was no longer just Mary, but MOTHER Mary.
And the thought of that being every momma, and the way they see their babies.
I’m seeing my mom this next week, and I’m gonna hug her tight, and share this show with her.
Cause lord knows I’ll never be able to show the amount of appreciation I have for that woman for every moment in my life she’s done exactly what Mary did in that scene, for me.

Shmuel really got me this second season, went from disliking the character to feeling sorry for him. Especially touching was when Nicodemus is criticized(lights growing dim in that house) and Shmuel is taken aback. It was like he was realizing that the ball he got rolling is getting bigger, beyond his control and may run over a lot of people he didn’t intend to hurt. Great job Shaan! I’m rooting for Shmuel’s conversion. 😁

Yes, me too. And the time Yanni was talking about hoping to create more chaos (whaaat?!) by pitting the house of Hillel against the house of Shammai. Poor Shmuel shaking his head and saying ‘Why does it take all this?’ I’m a little more sympathetic with him now. Won’t it be interesting to see how he and Yussef develop as the series goes on?
Yes! I love Samuel! The Pharisee scenes have been some of my favorites this season.
I love the ",welcome back" scene...Mother Mary places the shawl on Liz 's head. What a picture...my heart was touched.

I usually avoid "Christian films" because they are so poorly done. NOT SO with the Chosen! I was hooked from the first program I watched! The characters are so great, they are so real; and Jesus melts your heart from his first appearance. Great work! Many lives will be changed by this! Can't wait for the next season!
That's true! I never watch Christian films because most of them are just....cheesy. But "The Chosen" is so wonderful, and so real The actors are amazing, and the writing is so well done!
Do not say poorly done. Watch your words. There is literally no series out there. Others show how the Bible describes them. I love chosen too but do not say such words about those movies

@@b.abernathy7980 "so poorly done" sounds not nice at all, we appreciate your honesty for not liking some Christian shows but hopefully you still respect the people behind it filming the shows. That's just the best thing they can only do to avoid errors from the bible they're following.
Shalom Dallas, I've been a Christian for 70 years. The hardest part of faith is knowing you're praying to a live person, but not being able to see His face, even tho' you can feel His presence. I have to admit that I had a fear that because of Jonathan's excellent, spirit-filled portrayal of Jesus, that I would lock on to His image and think of him as I prayed. But I asked God to keep me from doing that. The best thing you have done, Dallas, is with your podcasts (or whatever they're called now!) to show us that we are watching human (albeit, amazingly talented) actors. I was thrilled to see Jonathan on TV and realize that my instant reaction was... there's Jonathan! (not there's Jesus.) I know that you tell us that you make mistakes, but we don't see many of them. You appear to follow God in all the major decisions! You are a humble man who follows the guidance of the Holy Spirit and accepts advice and criticism of many wise people (including your amazing wife.) I thank God for you and the incredible people that have entered into this endeavor with you. God bless you all. PS My husband and I have watched 1 to 3 episodes every night for about 2 months. We are anxious to see Season 3!
I had that very same thought and I too prayed to keep Jonathan who I love so much as the face of Jesus, to keep him the person separate from Jesus. I love how humble Jonathan is in every interview I see him in and pray that his fame n ver affects his life in a negative way. Anyway, thank you for saying how I feel so much better than I ever could!
Hallelujah it's been 37 years for me. I was 10 and lil didn't know what i was getting myself into but u felt called to go now i spread the gospel to all my Facebook friends and family. It's a joy and learning experience for me

I cried so hard during that scene! I’ve had so many fig tree moments. And the moment that Nathanial recognized Christ…the look in his eyes…I can’t even think about it without tears!

I love all the people who are truly studying their parts to the max, then showing us how well they act. I am a follower and lover of our Savior. I am grateful for Him. I was a Lilith once, but had a miracle that brought me back to a Mary(Kimmie) love your beautiful soul Liz Tabish. ❤ Now my life has changed so much and a miracle is what my family sees everyday.
The casting is ALL by divine intervention and looks and sounds like led by The Spirit. Hallelujah! Praise God!

I love how the Chosen is bringing Jesus to everyone of every nation, faith, creed, culture and hopefully uniting in a love for the Savior...all different sects of followers of Christ ;)
I started going to church when I was 3 years old and learned all the Bible stories. I know Scripture very well. They were Bible stories and Jesus was someone who you couldn't get near because he was perfect and I am not good enough to be near him. I'm 70 now, and along came The Chosen. I see everyone in Scripture as real people now and I feel like they are no different then anyone who is alive today. But the most important thing that has changed in my life is I see Jesus as my friend as well as my Father, and I can't wait to wrap my arms around him and give him a big hug and thank him from the bottom of my heart for saving my soul. I actually get jealous every time someone in The Chosen gives him a big hug and says thank you for healing me. I realize now that he was human. Perfect, but still human. It hit me when Jesus and John were deciding what to read in the Temple. Because he feels more human to me I talk to him more. Someone told me something once. Prayer is like a phone call to Jesus. He loves us very much and gets lonesome when we don't call and talk to him, so I call more than once every day. Thank you Dallas, the writers, and all the actors for bringing me closer to my Maker.
Amber's speaking about "having a Tamar" or "being a Tamar," touched me. I am disabled from polio. I've often wanted a Tamar come into my life and "help me get healed.". I never thought that "I" could be a Tamar. Thank you Amber.
Loved what "Tamar" said about stepping out in faith in Jesus and Jesus saving those who "Aren't even thinking of following Jesus or even know Who He is." So much hope for America and the people who are in leadership positions at this time. Jesus is sooo loving them and far greater than all the mess we are in. Hallelujah!
I wondered if anyone else noticed that moment when Judas is revealed from behind during the slow motion ending that Liz mentioned. AND, I felt the exact same way Liz did about Judas' line about wanting to do something lasting. Wow! I was definitely devastated to see his character, knowing what's coming.

I still get chills when I watch Jesus meeting Lilith and calling her Mary....I'm anticipating when He calls her by name again!

I have watched season one maybe 5 times, and season two a couple of times so far, and there are many beautiful moments, but the one I replay over and over again, usually three times at night before I go to bed, is when Jesus calls Mary by name, and qoutes her childhood memory verse. That to me is very Beautiful, extremely touching and powerful. When Jesus puts His hands on the side of her face and you perceive the demons she has been possed with are fleeing from her mind, Wow, just Wow, what a precious, precious moment. Love the show, and the portrayal of the characters, and all the actors and actresses do a wonderful job, even the kids. Love It!!
Oh that’s my number 1 all time favorite scene in the entire series. I watched it many times too and each time it touches me to the core. I weep and get chills and goosebumps. That is definitely the most impactful and powerful scene in the entire series. It’s Jonathan’s favorite scene too😭😭😭
Touched me through and through, absolutely a scene to watch over and over. Still has same impression on my heart every time. The tears flow the Love of "Jesus", flows from top of my head to my feet. Season 2 , episode 6 is the same. "Liz", is really incredible and this show is so well written and hand picked by "the Father", Himself.

I just love how Jesus didn’t need to yell or command the demons to leave. His mere presence made them flee! His compassion for Mary so touching and powerful.
Well for me the scene that got me was when Jesus is with Simon ,Simon is down on his luck and faith. Jesus show him that if you believe in your self you will have what you need. When the boat fills up with fish and Simon face changes I started to cry because as humans we turn our backs to God and faith then when you least expected god sends you help. I play these episodes just to hear the voices of the story.
That’s when I was hooked. When Mary fell into the arms of Jesus. It was her releasing all her pain, shame and hurts. Wow!
George is one of my favorite actors he plays a John perfectly I love his accent he is one handsome dude

The montage when we are introduced to Simon Zealot and his brother is one of the most powerful things I have seen in movie/tv making... congrats to you all! So much amazing and powerful scenes and shows in this series, from the very first episode when Mary is healed, the single shot scene with Jesus healing the multitude with Mary (mother) helping Jesus get ready to sleep and the crickets at the end, the sons of thunder episode with John crying at the end while we hear Jesus reading Gen. 1 and John Chapter 1, Nathaniel meeting Jesus who says he saw him under the fig tree - ALL so emotionally and spiritually powerful!!!

Even at 1hr & 40 mins it's too short! Wonderful to see & hear the main actors outside of the show. The Chosen has helped me with my Bible engagement & relationship with Jesus. Absolutely love this show. Great work Dallas.
Yes, me too! I read the Bible differently now, seeing real people, not just words on a page. Even minor characters, like Moses, Aaron, Jacob. But the biggest thing is how much more I trust Jesus, which is weird, because you’d think I could just take Him as His word. He’s NOT a man, that He should lie, right?!
Perfect! Hope you bring on Nicodemus! I loved his scenes. He is also a amazing actor. I never thought I like a pharisee but I was really hoping he went with Jesus. I was bawling with him when he was hiding around the corner crying. I'm crying now just thinking about it!

I️ was one of the “frozen chosen”. It was such a cold day. We couldn’t see the scene behind the curtain so it was amazing to see it in the final episode!!
I just love the character of Matthew it made me actually read the book again. He was so good and brave and nothing held him back. I love the way he was not afraid of anyone or anything. He is so cute.
Iam a therapist. I work with broken people. This show is the perfect tool to reach so many. The human interaction is priceless and an open door
to the hurting world. The way Jesus interacts with each person increases my faith. I am praying for the team because we all know that the enemy
has to be working hard to hurt the show.
I have shared The Chosen with many many co-workers who have all said how blessed the feeling watching every episode and it is true! We talk about the Scriptures and life of Christ and thank you all for helping us grow closer to our Lord and Savior!

I loved seeing our favorite Pharisee and Mother Mary (Vanessa), together with their beautiful daughter in Spain was just the best! Real life with these special talents is such an incredible touch. I felt kinda “obligated” to like previous portrayals of Jesus and his disciples. But, as you know, there’s much depth and discovery of new and imaginatively more realistic depictions of actual people. Such an enriching discovery. Thank you, Dallas, and all cast and crew.

Each actor is perfect for the person they play.
I love Vanessa as Mary. Vanessa is precious and loving. I love all the other actors of course, equally. They are kind and heartfelt and they immerse in the moment. Miracles are happening in The Chosen. I don’t see a chat. So I said this in comments!

Nobody says anything about Mary in the chat coz she is the ONLY one who's character not justified by Vanessa. Read the Bible and everyone knows Mary kept everything in her heart, talked less. This woman Vanessa talks like a chatterbox. Completely wrong choice representing Mary. Best representation was in Passion of Christ movie.
At a historically trying time worldwide, when all we knew of life is being questioned, The Chosen appears.
I binge the series DAILY. It literally restores my soul.
The Bible has become real.

I love the chosen, and I don't get tired to express it. Season 2 oh! My goodness! Nathaniel under the tree still gets me every time I watch it. When Nathaniel asked the Lord if He sees him I said the same thing: how about me Lord. Nathaniel you moved us all. Grate job to all you in the chosen ❤️. Sometimes I get healed in the those deep moments whatcinng the show and it teaches me how to pray also. Whatching Jonathan and Dallas share their ways of getting God's attention is so helpful 😂👍. I am struck how several of you struggled for words to express, in soundbite size, your own reaction to the finished episodes. I am myself astonished how, after reading the Gospels for so many years, your scripts and performances have me feeling I'm truly hearing them for the first time. Love the actors interviews! But even though all of the characters and story lines are important and inspirational....I can never forget the comical moment (Season 2) when they all went to stay at the man and woman's home for the night and Jesus enthusiastically received the offer of the haunted room. And when the wife chided the husband about Jesus not being afraid of ghosts, John's response was like, "Yeah, well, he can speak for himself!" 🤣
Thank you, Dallas! I love hearing these interviews with the cast... and discovering how the Lord is using (and leading) them. Even, at times perhaps, beyond the current state of their faith journey. Such a beautiful example of how He loves each of us enough to meet us wherever we are. And He loves each of us enough to not leave us there!
It’s not often that you watch something like this, just chatting with cast, and you get choked up. The Chosen is so powerful, really challenges your walk as a Christian, love, love, love!!!

I continue to be so impressed by every cast and crew member and writing team of The Chosen. This is easily my favorite show of all time and checks all my boxes with a hero to love, lots of great interactions, humor, adventure and anticipation, artistry and great music. Thank you again for all you do!! Can’t wait for Season 3!
I have to say yes to Noah about Andrew's anxieties about what was happening with word spreading about Jesus. The worry he shows in Season 2 is very relatable!

Austin/Nathaniel. I'm so glad you shared. Your entire first scene from the crumbling of the building to the bartender conversation, the tree, Philip and Jesus calling you is so touching. I cry every time through almost all of it. The Holy Spirit was truly with The Chosen team during this, (as with most of it.) I watch it over and over. Love your character.

Love the Andrew character. He struggles with fear, but has a heart of gold!
Love them all, but Andrew really tugs at my heart, as he is a kindred worry wort, but very sincere. He is very funny at times, too. This series just blows me away.
Really enjoyed this video - thanks so much Chosen team for filling the gap between season 2 and season 3 with tons of behind the scenes and interviews! The wait doesn't seem so unbearable now ;) We've watched the Chosen as a family, and re-watching both seasons right now for the second time. Still trying to convince everyone to watch the whole thing yet again a third time lol. Can't wait for season 3!!!!
The cast are so rich in talent. This movie would not have succeeded if any of the actors had been less gifted. They are, every one of them, deeply gifted. One never sees them acting. They pull us into the truths of their characters. Same all goes for Director, Production, and crew, including photography. This is all a First-Class Production.

I did the same exact thing at the ending. I remember yelling at Dallas Why!! It was absolutely amazing in my heart to see this show. Eagerly awaiting next season!
