The Chosen when Jesus and his disciples had fun, dancing at the wedding...it was awesome giving that perspective in telling that story Jesus came in the physical and human form 🙌🏽To God be glory
For me all the scenes of jesus are perfect ...BUT my favorite is when His looking up at the Paralyzed guy from the roof...His face had pure power and wisdom
The Chosen does not replace scripture, God is using the Chosen to turn us towards the scripture and to look at it with new eyes and to seek Jesus wth a new heart❤️❤️
This time I was dying as I was drinking a bottle of whiskey and 3 to six beers, yet being a quality of life person, figuring that with the liver damage being irreversible (my thought), just decided on carrying on. I let God know in conversation that I was fine with every thing, accept both my death and my fault. As I was talking I was thinking about Phil Robertson from, "Duck Dynasty," and "In the Woods with Phil." As wondered how that preacher and man of nature would end it, and concluded with, "God your will; not mine, not the devil's" I had a dream and walking up to me was the lady I wanted but was lost to me to a drunk driver. She walked up to me and said, "Mike, I wouldn't want you to do this." I started crying and she hugged me but dematerialized when I get that kiss in. Hey, it was always Jean's rules and I went cold turkey to end up having a seize. With the help of a similar friend I researched and worked it out. "OK God, so to quit drinking, I have to start drinking again? You're Yiddish!" Since I hadn't eaten food in two weeks or drink any liquid besides alcohol in three, I couldn't taper down as the demand; but in two weeks and everyday a severe with draw managed to get get off the alcohol. In a sense the world opened up to me and I learned to live life and in a few weeks start to eat again, I also discovered is the one organ that regenerates. I've experimented a bit and while I can enjoy a drink or two every now and them, it is a very short leash to find oneself addicted again. Thanks for sharing I will keep, "It is not for you," in mind. After what I stated, manage to use my experiences and eye to help a few others out.
My favorite part is anytime Jesus smiles. There's just something about the smile, it's more than a smile, it's more than a laugh. There's something in his eyes... Jonathan does a fantastic job of showing the heart of Jesus (as much as a man can).
He truly does! Truly, me and my sister fell in love with this show because the way he portrayed Jesus. I can imagine that's how Jesus looked at us, with so much overflowing love and adoration.
They couldn't have picked a better actor to play Jesus, Jonathan Roumie has such a calming friendly demeanor about himself, watching him play Jesus puts a smile on my face
If this series gets to the crucifixion of Jesus, it’s just going to hit different. The passion of the Christ was difficult enough to watch. But we didn’t have the same kind of connection to that portrayal of Jesus that we will this one. Seeing him over the course of multiple seasons, the connection will be so much greater and watching him sacrifice himself will hit so much harder.
I seen the Pasion of christ when I was 17 and it was hard to watch the tears would not stop its been a long rime ago but i beleave i cried just about the whole show
For sure. The Passion destroyed me, i cried so hard my face was swollen even the next day. And this? Spending more time with Jesus, watching His connections with the others, the crucifixion and all that goes with it is going to be even harder to watch this time around, I think
This show is tied mostly to Mormons (lots of them), but also new age occultists, LGBTQ followers, Jesuits, Catholics, etc. Everything besides Bible believing Christians. Please research. Do a YT search to see it exposed. Plenty of great videos showing how much blasphemy this show contains.
I appreciate this acknowledgement of Jonathan’s sincerity in honoring this role. He was made for such a time as this. Amen!! 💕❤️🙌 hallelujah, Daddy! Well done, Father!
@@mandalorianactual1215 Not my opinion, God's. I simply elect to acknowledge His Commandments and use the discernment He gave me. I pray He will lead you to do the same and see through the fiction and deception. How do those who neither know nor belong to Jesus, present the "Authentic Jesus"? When the Mormon owners and producers declare they're presenting the "Authentic Jesus" who's? Is it theirs, that had 3 wives including Mary Magdelene, and was just a man and brother to satan? Or are they compromising their Jesus, as Dallas and Johnathan are? The Catholic Papacy declares all Protestants including Dallas "Accursed/Anathema". The Mormon's founder, Joseph Smith JR. declared all Christians regardless of denomination apostates following a corrupted Bible. So who's Jesus are we getting? And considering that even Dallas acknowledges the show is 95% fiction, how is this honoring God, who commands us to not create imagery of Him? Moving and beautiful yes, but not Spirit led or "Authentic".
@@jesustheking7 Yes! Moreover, its not those the Catholic Papacy deems "Protestants" that aren't Christians, its Catholic's that are not Christians. They declare a different Gospel, a different Mary, and a different salvation based off of allegiance to the Papacy, Works, Merit and mediation of Saints. Not to mention the pagan Mass, whereby they re-sacrifice Christ weekly and then believe they literally eat Him. Nothing has killed more Christians than the Catholic Church.
Jesus healing the paralyzed man. I have cerebral palsy. When I was 4, I remember reading the story with my mom at bedtime. I turned to her in tears and asked her if Jesus would heal me too. It is a still a powerful reminder that I’m not alone, that Jesus heals and that He is still healing me!
Im praying for you now to be healed. Im waiting on my healing also. In the meantime He is loving us so much. May He bless you with fresh revelation of that.
In my heart and soul, I truly believe that the series of the Chosen. Our Lord God in Heaven was absolutely reaching out to all of us. I'm a grieving Mother, my son was killed by a drunk driver. For 10 years now. I couldn't stop the anger and rage in my heart and soul. I heard God say to me, "Give him the revenge and hatred." I absolutely listened to what God was saying to me. I finally gave God my problems, and since then, I have found peace in my heart and soul. I understand now what I was doing. It was making me a sinner as well as the person who killed my son. I thank our Lord Jesus in Heaven every second of the day. I pray to our Lord that many people will watch this series. It will definitely change your life. As my son once said, if you don't believe you won't receive. He was right. 💜🙏💜
I dont think he would ever truly understand how much he carried this role. His performance felt like a true embodiment of Christ. Watching the series I shed tears at times because I realised if Jesus could welcome these types of people in his circle he must truly love me too. Thank you Jonathan you did an incredible job
I totally agree. I've never seen a portrayal of Jesus that is so spot-on with the the same real Jesus eyes interacted with most of my life. It was almost eerie how spot on Jonathan was.
It reminds me of what Orthodoxy calls "becoming an icon of Christ"... Jonathan certainly nailed that! Interestingly he was born into that tradition but became Catholic later.
I got infected with Covid19. This movie helped me during my healing process here in Africa. I couldn't get enough of the episodes. Thank you for doing this. God bless you all!
Remember, the children of God are safe! The reason you are alive is because GOd is not done with you!! Godbless I pray that God heals all your troubles, Amen.
I'm pretty sure Jesus was like "ooh this guy is playing Me, I better go down and help him so he doesn't end up embarrassing Me lol" and I feel that touch in every single scene Jonathan is in, and that same grace reflects throughout the show.
Rugged Rugged That’s exactly the student of Nicodemus said to his teacher. “The Law is God”. Do not surprise that mankind couldn’t record everything what God did in to the scroll, R.R. Furthermore, do you think God gets “offended “ because of the wrong hairstyle ?
Rugged Rugged Then l hope your relationship with God is real enough to see all beauty in the work of God in art & films which these expressions aren’t written on the Bible.
@xwinniez According to Jewish tradition, they should not cut their hair or shave their beard unless if they are affected by any disease or sins. Jesus is a jew by birth and the chances of having long hair is high. You can refer to leviticus in old testament in bible.
When Jesus explained why He didn’t heal Little James of his deformity but commissioned James to heal other believers because He trusts James!! Super deep 🔥🔥
That was one of the many times that I cried. I could feel James's desperation and frustration and identify with it, same with the Samaritan woman at the well. Jonathon has done an exceptional job of portraying Jesus. I actually wondered how he handled all of it, his feelings about it, everything that ended up being covered here. Thank you to Dallas and Jonathon, for doing all that you've done. You're bringing many people closer to Jesus. Including me. 🥰🕯️🙏🏼🤍✝️ I can't imagine how "anyone* is going to get through the crucifixion. I know I'll bring my tissues. 😔😭
That scene touched my husband and I so much as he had a spinal cord tumor over 30 years ago and is paralyzed from his waist down. I’ve prayed for his healing but we’ve not received healing but still we have FAITH.
The show in whole has moved me I cannot pinpoint to one scene there to many I love them all. Jonathan’s portrayal of Jesus is phenomenal he is truly amazing. He shows the human side of Jesus his humanity his heart. There are no words to describe this. This is epic.! Thank you for this gift. ❤
Nicodemus very much wanted to join him and wept because he knew he couldn't, for if he had, he would have lost his position and standing among the jews and as a teacher. I felt sorry for him because he knew Jesus was the son of man and there was nothing he could do to join him and follow him.
Man his moment of breaking down in secret, when I watched that scene with my family it nearly broke us. And I like how it wasn't basic crying and loud sobbing, the volume and his facial expressions, just felt heartbreaking and genuine....
"i have always loved you," says The lord. malachi 1:2 Be patient. Israel began the tribulation. I have reversed the earths core and sent Apophis to renew the world. Favorite scene: When Jesus met Nathaniel for the first time and told him, “When you were at your lowest moment, I did not turn my face from you, I saw you.” The first time I tried watching The Chosen, I wasn’t ready and was not “dialed” in. This time, I am overwhelmed by how God does things in His timing and at a time when I needed to connect with this series most. Superb and touching portrayals and visuals.
I had the same response, when I saw it advertised I said to myself, it's just another miniseries, like all the rest. When I finally started watching it I got so captivated, that I have watched the series every weekend and get a different experience everytime.
I loved it when Jesus spoke to the children who came to see him and when he asked them of the things they were learning and how they responded. He was pleased. As Jesus the man he was pleased and as God he was pleased.

Don’t know if it’s my favorite but this scene stroked me in my heart: when Jesus came back to the camp exhausted, covered with dirt and sweat after a whole day healing people in Samaria while his crew were arguing round the fire. His mother came to clean and help him just like when he was born : he needed her. Everyone of us needs mom to clean it all sometimes.

My adult son who died a year ago really liked your feeling and humane rendition of the living Christ in The Chosen. Now my son lives the experience in real time…thank you!
So sorry you had the pain of your son passing; one day you will hug your boy again. Until then work out your own story in God's service and fill yourself up with the joy God still has for you. God's blessings will hold you close and provide all the comfort you need.
@@His1355 pretty sure he was in first one where he tried to exorcise demons from Lillith (aka Mary Magdalene). Seems to me like he was in nearly all episodes in Season One. Google?
I personally didn’t like it when Jesus was written to say, “So close.” We can follow Christ in many ways. We can witness in our workplace, schools, and community. And as The Chosen clearly demonstrated, we can financially support missionaries. From Scripture it has always seemed to me that Nicodemus did indeed accept Christ and was born again. I haven’t started season two yet, so perhaps there will be more clarity with him and Jesus in The Chosen. Overall though, I think this is a wonderful series!
I also felt for Nicodemus, I cried when he did, Jesus knew he was there and you can see the disappointment, yet Jesus Shows he will not force himself on us. This Episode is so amazing that I have told people about binge watching this show.
@@canadasweetie Because we are commanded not to! We are not at liberty to create imagery of the Creator of all things. If He wanted us to do so, He would have given His Apostles detailed instructions on how to physically describe Him, the same way He gave Moses detailed instructions on how to create the Ark and the Cherubim on it. We have a jealous God, who is not fond of imagery. Thie Israelites, after being freed from slavery in Egypt, created an image based off of what they had come to know as imagery of a god. Their intention was good, and Moses's brother, helped them. Thousands were put to death for it. The Word of God is sufficient in and of itself! If one requires imagery to make Him more relatable, one might not have a relationship with Him to begin with. Moreover, it is that imagery, that they come to visualize when they pray or read the Bible. Interestingly, the show's creators admit this happens to them. They visualise their show's characters. This is inevitable for many. It is one thing to present theatrical plausibility and assumption when it's fictional characters, another issue when it's the Word of God! "Yeshua said to Him, “Because you have seen Me, you have believed? Blessed are the ones who have not seen and yet have believed!” (John 20-29). No matter what we do, no matter how hard we try, the image that we create and put in front of us is a false one. The Gospels give us no visual detail related to what the Son looked like as an incarnate man. Even if we attempt to extrapolate the basic features of a 1st-century Jewish man, we are still guessing. This may not be entirely problematic when painting an image of someone, but we are talking about God. Falsely representing God is a grave sin and one that is directly connected to idolatry in the Old Testament. Even well-meaning attempts that fall short should be avoided, and by definition, any image we make of Jesus falls short. And it is true to say, that many do come to venerate the image itself, which is why the feet of St.Peter at the Vatican are nothing more than nubs after decades of being touched and kissed.
It was when Jesus prayed on his tent before sleeping and he was lying down. I usually pray lying on the bed, and oftentimes I question myself if I am not showing proper reverence to God because I am not kneeling down. But I really cried when I saw Jesus praying like how I pray. It's like God is telling me that He doesn't really need the niceties and traditional way of doing things. He looks at the heart.
I feel closer to God when I lie down to pray. Its more personal and a great comfort to me. I always feel comforted and always tell Him Im feeling sleepy. I always face the window too so I can look up to Him ❤🙏
@@cherylwatkins588 i often do the same thing. How I see it is what greater thing can we give him than our hearts? Really it is the only thing we can give him that matters.
When a friend first recommended I watch The Chosen, I was reluctant to say the least. I'm a "purist" when it comes to scripture and was opposed to anyone portraying Jesus saying or doing anything that isn't specifically written in the Bible. But because my friend was so excited about it, I decided to watch. I was sure after the first few scenes, I'd turn it off and forget it. Well... here's the thing... I could not turn it off. Not only could I not turn it off, I watch it every chance I get. It is absolutely amazing and renews and refreshes my love for Jesus every time I watch an episode. Without a doubt, the Holy Spirit is clearly in every thought, word, and action. I cannot recommend this series enough for those seeking to know God's heart. Well done Dallas. Well done.
same here. But you know if God has ordained something nothing can stand against it. and his will will be done perfectly. So it's quite obvious the hand of the Lord was with the whole making of the show from the very beginning. I'm currently fighting for my life with horrible sickness. and as I near so close to death I only Reach Out further and more fervently for Jesus. This whole show is going to bring tens of thousands of people to Christ if not many many more. Glory to God! whether I make it through this alive or not my soul is his forever
The most powerful scene is when Nicodemus hides and cries while Jesus waits. We like to think we'd be different then Nicodemus but we wouldn't. It cut me deep.
It made me cry too, but I know Nicodemus became a believer in Jesus, even Joseph of Aremathea also became a believer, because they both anointed Jesus body and bury him in the tomb.

My husband even sends me scripture while he is as work! 🙏🏻 Praise the Lord for this show! ♥️
@@DisneymarleyI'm very sorry for your loss. The pastor at my church was talking about the loss of loved ones, particularly of parents, and in paraphrase, he said: "There will not come a day when you will stop missing them. A hug from them was like no other, full of love. There is only one other that can give you a greater hug, and that is God." While he was talking about parents, there is no doubt that this applies to the closest loved ones, such as a spouse. God knows our sorrow. He is near to us in our suffering, he is close to the brokenhearted. "No tear that you have cried has gone unnoticed by your heavenly Father." I hope that God softens your grief. God bless you!
My favorite scene of the series is when Jesus walks past the crucifixion happening and has such a sad expression on his face knowing that's going to be his destiny. It's so touching. I cried when I saw that expression. It brought out the human side of himself- dreading death like we all do, but knowing that He had to do it to be able to offer salvation.
Yes, I saw that look in his eyes too. The moments that brought tears to my eyes was when he has a one on one when someone. Seeing those connections are very powerful.

I know, I still can't get use to the idea that he's not Jesus after all. Surely it takes God's grace and character in that person, to portray his Son and have people be touched.
No doubt, NO doubt, the Ruach was a major part in the casting. I do believe our Father in Heaven has had this planned and the actors planned for these parts from the beginning of time.

Thank you for putting this awesome project together. Even though I went to Sunday school as a child and at 68 years old now , I feel like I am relearning the life and times of Jesus and it renews my faith .
That wasn't Jesus! He is not divided with His Father that declared we are not to create imagery of Him. Not to partner with Heretics! Not to endorse what He calls an abomination!
I just kept crying randomly while watching it. Couldn't help it. Especially when they pull up the catch that fills the nets. I knew it was coming and it didn't even matter.

It’s the dying to self and our love for Him to want to please Him is what is changing you and bring you into this deeper relationship with Him! God bless you
God def has a sense of humor, just look at His creation and some of the animals He created! Satan has and wants to corrupt everything that God Loves! We are living in the very end times and God longs for His ppl to know Him more intimately, know Him for who He really is, to hear His voice, the voice of the Spirit of truth Who leads us into all truth! I hear more messages and have seen more books coming out about the relationship Jesus wants with His children, His church His bride! In these end times we must draw close to Jesus and hear His voice so that we can and will be tuned in to Him leading us into His ways, especially when it comes to not bowing down to the anti christ spirit but that we must obey Him first! Many will fall away,, yet God is calling us to come closer to Him and get to know Him intimately!

I walked into that office with all kinds of anxiety. The doctor, with ZERO bedside manner, just went right into it. "Well, as far as I'm concerned, you have _______". BAM! As I was thinking that this was a bad B movie, a peace flowed through my body from head to toe. My experience was consistent with what I read in the Bible. Jesus says,"My peace I give to you." In my experience, nothing the world offers has been able to match the peace of Jesus. That was 24 years ago. No drugs, hypnosis, or conscious mental tricks to keep me peaceful. Only the peace of Christ that passes all understanding.
"JOY" is infectious! People ask me: "Patti, why are you so happy!?" I respond: "I'm not always happy, however, I ALWAYS have JOY because of our Lord God!" 💖
When He held the woman with the issue of blood face and called her daughter. Brought tears to my eyes because I struggle with the Lord’s love for me. It made it real for me.
I have an issue of blood, so I can totally relate... As i watched Jesus holding her face and calling her "daughter"... I could feel Him saying the words to me. 🥰😍😭😭😭
No... I ball like a baby when Jesus touched Mary's hand. Then he followed her and called her by her name, and said the prayer to her like her Father taught her. Then when her put his hands on her and took her pain and sorrow away. I've watched that episode maybe 20 times, and still feel that emotion

As a woman, i SO appreciated that moment between Jesus and Eden!!! it just really helped validate wives and how, even when they're proudly supporting their husbands, can feel like they don't have a role or add value. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that scene in the show!
Jonathan presented the sweetest nature of Jesus when he performed miracles and was grinning with happiness and joy watching the people's' reactions to his miracles!!!!!!
The Chosen is one of the rare gems that I have found this quarantine. Thank you for making this. I was crying a lot in every episodes. The story of Mary Magdalene is really close to my heart and I started bawling when Jesus and her met. I also like how you have shown the humanity part of Jesus here. We often say that various Christian singers, preachers and teachers of Christianity are anointed. I see anointed acting in this series. Clearly everyone involved is letting themselves be vessels for Holy Spirit to breathe LIFE into every aspect of these "enactments". It's so good to see Christian acting at this level. It's going to raise Christian movies, tv series to a level that Hollywood can't compare to.
@lijah. Jesus was Jewish, he would look like someone from the Middle East. I think they did a pretty good job with this. But you are right he is definitely not white and yes there is lots of propaganda in the church and in religion.

My favorite scene is in Season 2 when Mary returns back to Jesus after she had fallen back into sin. She couldn't even look at Him in the eyes, she was so full of shame. But, He still embraced her and reminded her that she was His and she was forgiven. It moved me so deeply and it made me long for the day I get to see my Savior face-to-face and feel His embrace. I think of how I feel when I get to hold/hug my children... how full of love I feel in that moment and I can't even begin to imagine what that feels like in the arms of Jesus. It was a beautiful reminder that I am saved and forgiven by His grace.

Tasha that's a really good description and that's one of my favorite scenes as well because I did get away from the Lord I didn't do what she did but I certainly did things I totally ashamed of and when I came back to him when I was 49 years old it's a very humbling experience and you know you don't deserve his love and yet his compassion and mercy are there for us as we come back to him because he does love us as a father loves his children that's pretty awesome that was the one thing I was missing in my Christian walk is that I knew Jesus loved me I didn't know God loved me I really didn't understand that but this young man playing Jesus does a phenomenal job I don't think you could get a better one I've been look how many times the story in the Bible has been made into a TV show or a movie and the passion was number one before this and this just takes it to a whole new level my opinion

All the scenes where you see Jesus's humanity with him laughing, dancing, debating, and cracking jokes, amongst others. I imagine Jesus to be like this. I feel more connected to His humanity which I feel some people can forget as He is often seen as The Messiah, Son of God, Healer, etc. The Chosen made Jesus more real to me as I can really truly relate to His humanity, and He understands where we come from and what we face. I think when Peter says" depart from me ,I am a sinful man" is my favorite. I think we all find ourselves unworthy of the Love God has for us and the willing sacrifice of Jesus for wretch's like us.
To me it's even more impactful because we had seen his inner conflict with God coming out only a few hours ago. So it's like a physical display of his guilt for doubting
the absolute humor in Jesus is SO refreshing in this day in age of hollywood films and one of my absolute favorite jokes that my family quotes all the time is when Jesus and some of the disciples are sleeping in a man’s house and the man warns the group that one of the rooms is haunted by his dead grandmother and Jesus, without hesitation, says “oh! i’ll take that one!”

I’ve been a Christian my whole life. But honestly, I’ve been struggling connecting or even feeling anything related to God. But I’ve cried every episode this scene, and it makes me *want* to read the Bible, and it’s been awhile since I’ve actually wanted to. So thank you, Dallas, for creating this form of ministry, thank you to Jonathan and every person involved for the massive weight of who they’re portraying, and for being faithful. I truly, truly appreciate it ❤️
I think my favorite moment may have been when Nicodemus hugs Jesus near the end of their meeting. The weight of him seeing this man before him with the realization that he came from heaven to save them. When he hugs him, you can feel what he feels. You can feel his comfort and shock that he is, in essence, hugging God himself and being given a hug in return and he just breaks down. Such a beautiful scene... I love this show and I would give almost anything to be involved. I love film and I have always had the Bible be apart of me with my grandpa being a pastor. I have so much respect to everyone involved, and a very special respect to Jonathan for taking on the weight of this role and all of the challenges and responsibilities of it! 🧡🧡🧡
My heart broke for Nicodemus when all he wanted to do was follow Jesus physically but he knew all he could do was follow him spiritually because he knew he was not strong enough and I cried with him.
@@TheChosenSeries that scene was way to early. A night meeting meant Jesus was a wanted man in isreal. Something in later episode. Anyway thanks for the wonder story telling

What a wonderful interview. I especially loved when Jonathan said "just surviving wasn't working. . . God if you want this to work, if I'm doing the right thing, then you have to help me". This is my personal prayer. God knows. I not only want to surrender, I must. Thank you for being so honest.
@The Chosen Episode 1 Mary Magdalene and healing her. "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine." I needed to hear these words...cried for so long. Thank you for reminding me that I am His!!
Same here...when Jesus said those lines to Mary... I felt so loved by God talking to me... with all my mistakes, laziness and failures... I am redeemed by His blood...im his and he is mine. 💗
I am very cautious about watching shows that portray Jesus, but the interview with Jonathan was what convinced me to give it a try. I guess I was impressed by his humbleness, his overall attitude, and the weight he feels to get it right. And now I love The Chosen. It has made a difference in how I read the Gospels in that I can visualize the love and compassion God has for people.
It is the most amazing way to tell the story of our Lord. I was sort of sceptical when I started to watch it, but was instantly won over by the beauty and the reality of it all. Cannot wait for the story to continue unraveling before our very own eyes. Truly there is this incredible effect of being present there and then.
Same here. I’m usually skeptical of shows depicting Jesus but this show was different. Perhaps it’s the depiction of the disciples too, but this guy seemed to understand the seriousness of playing Jesus.
I'm in the club😆😊 this interview is my first ever exposure to the Chosen. I did not even finish this interview to the very end at that time. I was so intrigued about what this show is all about so I jumped to the very 1st episode. And I had been binged watching the Chosen ever since.. and also the interviews and all and now I'm watching this interview to the very end. I fell more in loved with Jesus through this and filled with praise for how God is using all of these people for The Chosen project. This show is truly truly God's work that's why it's very life changing. How amazing is the God we serve!💛

I may have to re-afffirm it all in just an hour, but I will stay for His sake.
One of my absolute favorite scenes was in season 2 where Peter was yelling at Matthew and all of the disciples were at each other’s throats around the fire. Jesus had been away healing the sick all day, and he walked past them, trembling with exhaustion, then simply said, “Good night.” Wow. Instant tears. Seeing how humble he was in contrast to that scene, then the way he needed the care of his mother and the humanness of him in that moment was invaluable to me.

@@martinkent333 I'm sorry you are cycling on evil thoughts. Just know that God did not rape anyone, man did. Man influenced by evil chose to do that. Scripture tells us we are in a battle between good and evil but we must turn to our King Jesus for saving. God allows evil because it teaches us many things and shows us how good God is. It was like me that Jesus was calling me at the pub 10 years ago while I just started my first glass of wine that's night. Jesus said, what's are you doing here. For me, the greatest thing about this series is the portrayal of the humanity of Jesus. Every other religious based film I have ever seen has always portrayed Jesus as some kind of perfect unreachable being. The Chosen has brought Jesus down to earth where we can relate to him in a personal way. Thank you for that.
@@DontAssume123 Do you think the Creator of all things is imperfect? "He is the Rock! Perfect is his work. Indeed all of his ways are justice. He is a faithful God. He does no wrong. Righteous and upright is He" (Deut. 32:4). “As for God, His way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him.” God’s perfection is seen in His character, His Word, and His actions". (Psalm 18:30) Perfect means “without flaw.” The Lord is perfect in every way. He is flawless. Being perfect, God is the standard by which everything else will be measured. It would be impossible for God to be imperfect because that would mean that another standard has found a flaw in Him. But whose standard would that be? If there is another standard higher than God’s standard, then that means God is subject to judgment by something else, making that other thing god. Humanity often tries to elevate its own opinions above God’s decrees, thereby implying that He is flawed. Any time someone says, “If I were God, I would do such and such” or “If I were God, I would never do this or that,” he reveals his own haughty spirit, not the imperfection of God. When we judge God by our own standards, we are in effect placing ourselves on His throne. Shalom
I haven’t watched this series yet, but this brilliant interview has revealed to me how Jesus is portrayed in a more personable way than how I have always perceived him. I believe that it is in Genesis that says God is our friend. The humor that is allowed in Jesus’ life makes me feel that a close and acceptable life with Jesus is truly ATTAINABLE. Jesus was in human form, hence, feeling the same emotions that we feel; and humor as well. God is with you in this series and you are right. He is not going to let you screw this up. I love the scene when he talks with Peter's wife. The understanding and tenderness shown to her as he so obviously cares for her and the marriage relationship and how Peter following Jesus will affect them really moved me. He isn't just jerking Peter away to the detriment of his wife and mother-in-law.

Just one of the many things The Chosen gave me a better perspective on. Of course Jesus would have respected their marriage! 🙂
My Favorite scene is between Jesus and Nicodemas, I cried and cried...Jonathan has a way of hugging people that seems so geniuine. There is NOTHING Hollywood about his character. I Love love how Jonathan portrays Jesus.
YES! My favourite scene with Jesus in any media is that scene! My second favourite is in the Passion of the Christ when Jesus is making that table for the rich man and his interaction with his mom, and I'm happy that the director mentioned that. But that scene with Nicodemas was just perfect! Jonathan played so well, as well as Erick Avari. The writing is incredible! I love it when Nicodemus "gets it" and realizes he is standing on holy ground, and quotes Psalm 2 "Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way" BUT Jesus quotes the next part back to him "Blessed are all who take refuge in him" Tears. yes for sure.

As a recovering alcoholic, when Jesus said, "That's not for you." That went straight to my core.
what you just said went straight to my core.

Since I hadn't eaten food in two weeks or drink any liquid besides alcohol in three, I couldn't taper down as the demand; but in two weeks and everyday a severe with draw managed to get get off the alcohol.

deeply grateful to you. your are in my heart and prayers as is your son and the driver. i wish you continued peace, you gave me some ❤mary

Thus far, my favorite scene of the whole series! It stays with me!
THIS! One of my favorite scenes
When Jesus says "... you came so close" as if Nicodemus can hear Him (by the well before leaving to begin their journey) - shook me to the core! 💔😭
Nicodemus very much wanted to join him and wept because he knew he couldn't, for if he had, he would have lost his position and standing among the jews and as a teacher. I felt sorry for him because he knew Jesus was the son of man and there was nothing he could do to join him and follow him.
That scene absolutely *broke* me. I bawl like a baby every time I watch it.
Yes! Me, too! I could feel the anguish of Nicodemus because he really wanted to go!
Man his moment of breaking down in secret, when I watched that scene with my family it nearly broke us.
And I like how it wasn't basic crying and loud sobbing, the volume and his facial expressions, just felt heartbreaking and genuine....
Indeed. I had an uncontrolled gasp as I tried to fight back tears. That was a tough one...and I think he could have said that to any of us.
By far the best portrayal of Jesus ever done.

The first time I tried watching The Chosen, I wasn’t ready and was not “dialed” in.
The chosen has changed my perspective about our father in Heaven.

Don’t know if it’s my favorite but this scene stroked me in my heart: when Jesus came back to the camp exhausted, covered with dirt and sweat after a whole day healing people in Samaria while his crew were arguing round the fire.

@@YaakovBuchner can you explain why someone betrayed Jesus in a film is wrong or at least in this case where you feel like it’s wrong?
@@canadasweetieI think Yak whatever their name…. is just being negative for the sake of being discouraging.

Yes, well said. My sister, mom and sister had tears streaming down our faces. It definitely felt like we were being spoke too and it was so beautiful- it was tears of sadness but rejoice as our sins are forgiven if we trully believe, repent and try our best to follow HIS example 💕✝️

Perfect casting.
Jonathan is so convincing as Jesus it’s a little (pleasantly) odd to see him as a regular guy! What a masterful performance.

My favorite part throughout the series so far is when Jesus takes in a breath and pauses, before speaking , no matter what type of situation , it makes his words resonate more fully .
Glory to God Jonathan Roumie and Dallas Jenkins. God is praised forever and at such a time as this.

I just kept crying randomly while watching it. Couldn't help it. Especially when they pull up the catch that fills the nets. I knew it was coming and it didn't even matter.
You are getting it right Jonathan, because of your humble and surrendered heart and yielded life to Him,Whom’s Love and character you long to show to the people!
The anointing comes on you and the Holy Spirit joins in and begins to flow through you and the love you feel or the tears that rise up is actually the Spirit of God taking over! He has emotions and He is the Spirit of Truth leading us into all truth,.. if we allow Him to!
Pay it forward folks. Let’s keep this wonderful, blessed gift going. My new favourite quote “Get used to different”. Thank you Jonathan Roumie for this brilliant portrayal.

Righteous and upright is He" (Deut. 32:4). “As for God, His way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him.” God’s perfection is seen in His character, His Word, and His actions". (Psalm 18:30)
Perfect means “without flaw.” The Lord is perfect in every way.
Gif will bless all of you.
When He arrives at the wedding and sees His little mommy and grabs her, lifting her off the ground in pure glee. At that moment she's His mother and He's her child.

When Jonathan Roumie says “Get used to different,” it struck such a cord in me. All the episodes make me cry.
This show is so refreshing from the garbage on TV and Hollywood. Thanks to all involved with this masterful creation. This is needed so much in this world today. I pray that this continues to bring people to Christ.
I love the scene when he talks with Peter's wife. The understanding and tenderness shown to her as he so obviously cares for her and the marriage relationship and how Peter following Jesus will affect them really moved me. He isn't just jerking Peter away to the detriment of his wife and mother-in-law.
Right?! I always struggled with Jesus expecting Peter to leave his wife, but I mistakenly assumed he never saw her again 🤦🏻♀️ I’m mad at myself because I should have known better!

My favorite scene in "The Chosen" is when Jonathan Roumie, as Jesus, shows Jesus to have a sense of humor, and when, as Jesus, he smiles. Jonathan Roumie is a perfect Jesus.
This show is outstanding, just outstanding.
Christian brainwashing makes you a happy Karen!
@@martinkent333- It saddens my heart to imagine someone with such a hardened heart, that has no life except one which is so twisted. I pray that you’ll seek the light from not only Jesus, but also from our Lord GOD almighty, before it’s too late. You very obviously have no life outside of ridiculing Christians, and that’s so very sad. And downright mean. But I’ll continue to pray that you will seek salvation before your life ends. We only have one life. And if you sincerely repent and bare your soul to Him, it’s so very easy to do. If you pray for Jesus to save you, He will! Just remember that it’s never too late to repent, unless you hope to burn in fiery flames forever…
