What surprises me is that as a Catholic Jonathan follows a man based religion which is based on man-based idols ie Mary and the Saints. Nowhere is Scripture are we encouraged to venerate Mary as Catholicism does. Perhaps God is using Jonathan to bring him out of heresy and into the truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Light not Mary. I pray He does.

@thatsandgirl. I think people need to separate the actor from the true God he portrays God he is not God, and I think people get confused and so engrossed in the series that if they ever run into him, they think that he actually is God
I am not a Genz I am 76 years and been taught Sunday school at a early age. The show has reopened my heart. And helped me to see the Jesus in the eyes of an old woman. I can hardly wait until the last days come. God pleased open up the sky and let Jesus come down to his people.

This interview is so revealing in a deep spiritual way. I’ve followed the chosen. When I first saw Johnathan out of his role as Jesus I was disappointed that he was no longer Jesus. However, in this interview I see Jesus in Johnathan as Johnathan. It might be because Jennie is in the spirit as well. Where 2 are more are gathered in my name, I am there. I find it so powerful that he suggested prayer first, then Bible reading, THEN finding a church. I’m becoming more and more convinced that without a personal relationship with Jesus, attending church is fruitless and even counterproductive.

18:19 when Mary turned back to her own life because she got fearful & was triggered by the Roman soldiers. She didn’t think she was worthy so she went back to the life she knew, I related & so glad they put that in the story because I have done the same thing & have felt really bad about it. So many times I’ve done this. I loved the passion & love Jesus told had for her. It helps me to believe that no matter what you do God will always forgive you no matter what

If you think about it, emotions are a requisite for virtue. Without fear, there is no courage. Without sadness or grief, there's no love or compassion. None of the virtues are themselves emotions, but God, in His mercy, has made it such that we need to FEEL like He does in order to ACT in accord with virtue. In 1968 Jesus showed me what it was like to experience the fullness of God, He said we can have as we grow up in Christ. It’s like this - Jesus is more in me than me. I saw it recently in a friend of mine and I see it in Jonathan. We are the light of the world how else are they going to be drawn to Jesus? Everyone keep praying for The Chosen project and all of the people involved in it!!! Ephesians 3:19 - and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

I know the Holy Spirit got a spirit filled sister who councils and hears the voice of the Holy Spirit and Jesus, at a Divine Mercy Retreat, tell me that I must watch The Chosen and be Still, to get closer to Jesus, so I am confident Jesus is proud of Jonathan for the role he plays to brings millions closer to Our Lord Jesus Christ. - The Chosen changed my life, but it was Jesus who got me to The Chose and so I glorify and worship Him every time.
Jonathan is the perfect choice to play Jesus, having his own relationship with the Lord already established. He’s moving in the will and grace of God and doing it very well!
When you said it is impossible for you to lay hands on anyone and heal them, I think about when Jesus said that we would do greater works than He! I am wondering when we as believers are going to do/see the greater works? So many believers are suffering with sickness, disability, financial challenges or just keeping a roof over our heads! I'm proud of this show and the many people it is reaching with the love of Jesus in such a relatable way!

He gave clarity to why and how he expresses himself as an actor to the other actors as the script calls for. . As the Apostles are learning moment by moment. With Jesus and they to are growing and learning their faith and awareness of the society they are living in Roman occupation. And awareness of what Jesus is doing to preach to the crowds of people, too. Alot happened in these recent sessions. Exactly since watching this show I love people more, and more each day. I am becoming more like my father in heaven who made me. More of you lord, less of me 🙏🏽🌈🐑❤ People must know about our Abba in heaven ❤
My take away from the series is a more realistic connection between me and him. That he becomes more tangible and that he does care and hurt with me and care for the smallest detail and counsels not always as a teacher but as a friend who loves me. And for someone who has had trust issues it pierces me in my heart in such a way that is indescribable. Makes me want to do and be better but also humbles me and allow me to see from different perspective and helps me become more compassionate and loving and forgiving.
I love the show. Because of its emotion and I think anyone who is on a serious spiritual journey - Christian or not- can identify with the role of Jesus and the dynamics of his disciples, and the rest of the world that reacts to him. We all learn. I always loved Jesus naturally, and I enjoy seeing him portrayed as a deep human being of divine origin. Something we all are if we only look close enough! I don’t even know if the show intends it or not but to me it’s really going beyond a dogmatic religious angle, it managed to capture a genuine sentiment we all have! Imagine that Jesus came today, would we recognize him? What would he say about what we think God is… and what would he do?

You're right it is fruitless. Just going to church doesn't make you a Christian. It really is a personal love-relationship with Jesus.

If you think about it, emotions are a requisite for virtue. Without fear, there is no courage. Without sadness or grief, there's no love or compassion. None of the virtues are themselves emotions, but God, in His mercy, has made it such that we need to FEEL like He does in order to ACT in accord with virtue. In 1968 Jesus showed me what it was like to experience the fullness of God, He said we can have as we grow up in Christ. It’s like this - Jesus is more in me than me. I saw it recently in a friend of mine and I see it in Jonathan. We are the light of the world how else are they going to be drawn to Jesus? Everyone keep praying for The Chosen project and all of the people involved in it!!!

I know the Holy Spirit got a spirit filled sister who councils and hears the voice of the Holy Spirit and Jesus, at a Divine Mercy Retreat, tell me that I must watch The Chosen and be Still, to get closer to Jesus, so I am confident Jesus is proud of Jonathan for the role he plays to brings millions closer to Our Lord Jesus Christ. - The Chosen changed my life, but it was Jesus who got me to The Chose and so I glorify and worship Him every time.
Jesus said if I be lifted up I will draw all men to me! Glorify Jesus no one else
Jonathan is the perfect choice to play Jesus, having his own relationship with the Lord already established. He’s moving in the will and grace of God and doing it very well!
When you said it is impossible for you to lay hands on anyone and heal them, I think about when Jesus said that we would do greater works than He! I am wondering when we as believers are going to do/see the greater works? So many believers are suffering with sickness, disability, financial challenges or just keeping a roof over our heads! I'm proud of this show and the many people it is reaching with the love of Jesus in such a relatable way!

This interview was great . Jonathan Roumie gave answers to the questions he was asked regarding emotional acting and how it effects his thoughts and action as Jesus Christ. He gave clarity to why and how he expresses himself as an actor to the other actors as the script calls for. . As the Apostles are learning moment by moment. With Jesus and they to are growing and learning their faith and awareness of the society they are living in Roman occupation. And awareness of what Jesus is doing to preach to the crowds of people, too. Alot happened in these recent sessions. Exciting and intense emotions with many aspects of thoughts around their mission and Jesus interests. . And short clips of " The Chosen", of different scenes he explained about as well. Exactly since watching this show I love people more, and more each day. I am becoming more like my father in heaven who made me. More of you lord, less of me 🙏🏽🌈🐑❤ People must know about our Abba in heaven ❤
My take away from the series is a more realistic connection between me and him. That he becomes more tangible and that he does care and hurt with me and care for the smallest detail and counsels not always as a teacher but as a friend who loves me. And for someone who has had trust issues it pierces me in my heart in such a way that is indescribable. Makes me want to do and be better but also humbles me and allow me to see from different perspective and helps me become more compassionate and loving and forgiving.
I love the show. Because of its emotion and I think anyone who is on a serious spiritual journey - Christian or not- can identify with the role of Jesus and the dynamics of his disciples, and the rest of the world that reacts to him. We all learn. I always loved Jesus naturally, and I enjoy seeing him portrayed as a deep human being of divine origin. Something we all are if we only look close enough! I don’t even know if the show intends it or not but to me it’s really going beyond a dogmatic religious angle, it managed to capture a genuine sentiment we all have!
Imagine that Jesus came today, would we recognize him? What would he say about what we think God is… and what would he do?

I love hearing Jonathan speak the truth, he's so passionate about Jesus and the role of Jesus. He's connected to the Holy Spirit and realizes his call to this mission of spreading the Gospel! I love him so much as my brother, because we share the same Jesus. I thank God so much, that sent the one man that could do this. God is in this story. ❤❤

Such wisdom and humbleness, no boasting but this is probably the right guy to play him and portray him, of course no one will ever ever measure upto Jesus. Thank you for touching on emotions, all you hear about in church is do not go by your emotions and yes I get that, but those that often say that never have to go to the edge and back do they, i just wish there was more balance, truth and understanding in why God gave us emotions

Hi Jennie! Hi Jonathan. I have been watching and weeping through The Chosen since its inception. It's AMAZING. Jenny, I came to your IF Gathering in Austin with my riding student Alli Shinn several years ago. Alli won tickets to tje conference with her essay she wrote about my farm. 💕 The IF Gathering was AMAZING too! I ended up holding an IF table in my home for about a year. It was an incredibly precious time that will stay with us forever. Great interview! May "Pappa" continue to guide and bless you both.
