Everybody Ought to Know
This choir is in another class. Such beautiful and professional music. My 96 year old mom and I listen to the renditions for hours. To God be all glory, honour and praise.
I am watching from Armidale New South Wales Australia. This is uplifting God glorifying music. I can't get enough of it. John and Charles Wesley would be loving it.
Fantastic Fantastic choral singing. Just Fantastic. 😊
I don't see how anyone could listen to this AWSOME MUSIC and help, but get their heart in a spirit of worship
Wonderful singing
Well done your choir is such a pleasure to listen to.All four parts always blend together beautiful and with such talented musicians.I am a lifelong Methodist in the UK and really appreciate the singing of your choir. It justifies the saying Methodism was born out of song.Sadly my chapel has now closed so I do enjoy my worship through your videos Thank you.
Beautiful music comes from dedicated work. God bless. However, any such services, especially regular organists are taken for granted across India. Despite, their dedication remains solid. God bless
This was wonderful! FMC music is terrific and Christ honoring. I wish I could visit in person, but I live so far away! Thanks for putting this together.

Always a joy to listen to your choir! All four parts of the voices are very strong, but the tenors are really fantastic! I have sung bass and sometimes tenor in our church choir for over 60 years. The musicians and director are great also!
Shhhh...they're heads are big enough as it is!
Very well done video many thx
I live in AL now but this is my home church. I really miss revival week!
I live in alabama too and i love this church music
I ❤ the redheaded soprano. 😊
Unfortunately, I’m told she now goes to another church!
Magnificent
What beautiful choral singing!!
FANTASTIC !!!
Wonderful
You were hiding this treasure? 😂 really inspiring and full. Wow!
Nah, I put it together just today during lunch.
@@Panoplyimaging, that’s one productive lunch. Thanks 🙏 much
@@Jack-eo5fn There's talk about running revival all summer in 2023!
@@Panoplyimaging, so what does a revival mean in this sense? Is it just the choir singing a collection of old gospel hymns each Sunday? Or is it the entire church hosting an old fashioned revival?
@@Jack-eo5fn That is a very good question and one I've been wrestling with since my first "First Methodist Houston" revival in 1976 and I suppose it would depend on your meaning behind revival (and google has a lot).
However, taken at a high level it's a means of 'reviving' an ardor for the ministry of Christ and in this respect this is one of the functions of the music ministry (at least under Terry Morris).
At the same time, I would say of all the churches I have been a part of, First Methodist is the closest to continuously functioning in outreach and missions at the level of Christ's teachings. So yes, the entire church uses Revival as a means of 'refreshment' and a time to enjoy the old(er) songs.
I'd note here that we have started mixing those songs into our regular worship because the congregation really enjoys them.
Does this answer your question(s)?
The super-handsome bald guy got a moustache!
Thank you, Lee! I grew it myself! ;-)
@@thornolie WOW! You made my day!
Wish the lyrics were posted so I could sing along. Just don't want to be entertained, I want to participate i.e sing along.
Still preferred John Gearhart as organist.
The pianist on 7/24 isn't keeping up with the beat--very distracting. Where is Sharon Goldsberry?
Retired!
Great singing . . the organist needs to work on registrations fitting for the particular hymns . . . it becomes overpowering.
Leave the United Methodist Church. I'm sure Charles Allen would not stay.
Why do you want the choir to leave the United Methodist Church? What, do you want them to become Baptists????
Or maybe become non-denominational!
Unless you’re a member of this church, I think you need to let them decide such things for themselves in prayer.
