Thanks for the video. I have a Gen2 CRV and your video helped. I installed the 7" Atoto f7. Couple things- You probably want to disconnect the dimmer and illumination wires you combined to go to the head unit. Just the illumination wire is the one you want, that sends 12 volts when the headlights are on so the head unit knows to dim or go into night mode. The dimmer is a variable voltage and is controlled by the little dial below the speedometer. It controls how bright the lights are on the dash. It goes from 0 volts to 12 volts. If you combine the two wires like you did it could potentially send 24 volts to the head unit and damage it. (at least how I understand it). Did you every figure a way to make it look more OEM? A trim kit or weather strip like you mentioned? Lastly I can't decide where to put my USB wire. Do you like it in that compartment? Not sure I want to have to open that and have a wire running out to where I put my phone. But I'm not sure there is any other good spot.
Thanks for making this video! I just bought a 2006 CR-V EX and I’m nervous about replacing the radio but I’m sure this video will come in handy! Ever come up with a solution to the gap around it?
Have you tried putting a backup camera on this ?
Hey how is it holding up? Would you consider doing the follow up video?

If anyone is wondering, the white plug was for XM radio. I ignored it.
