I concur with the many expressions of gratitude for and enjoyment of your unique videos. Your lifestyle and values are so different from those of the many of us living in "civilization." You are living the life Thoreau would have lived-- if he could follow his own advice for more than the one year at Walden Pond. Keep the videos coming.
i live in rural new york state by the penn border. it`s very sweet as far as huntin and fishin go but you my friend live in paradise. just knowing all that land and so few people must be sooooooo wonderful. good luck and long life to you. a true outdoors man.
The Missouri River near Bismarck, North Dakota is filled with Northern Pike. People here throw them back - too many bones, they want Walleye and Walleye only. Delicious fish. Thanks for posting, living the dream my friend, good for you!
With more and more your videos that i saw, i am becoming more and more jealous about your way of life. You are damn lucky guy, living in a great country... thumbs up, cant wait for more videos.
I caught a pike years ago; it was so cool! I was reeling in my lure and as it was closer to shore, I saw the pike follow my lure and bite it! It was a good fish. Caught a couple rainbow trout at the fishing pond in town, and they tasted like mud. Still exciting though. Nice video, thanks for sharing!
Howdy TWN. Hi Charlie! How cool is that. me and Charlie gonna catch some pike right quick. lol. Beautiful fish. Well I'm hungry now, gonna go eat some shrimp gumbo and fried shrimp. Thanks TWN!
good vid! i was drooling by the time the fish was cooked! living on the st lawrence river i can appreciate a good fried fish dinner. keep up the good work!!! joe in ny
beautiful fishing hole. I fish for native brook trout in Maine(U.S.). Also chain pickerel, salmon, bass, and white perch mostly. Love your videos, they are inspirational.
Great stuff Andrew. That trappers cabin was a cool sight. Enjoy those pike fillets! I cleaned a couple over the winter for the first time in many years after learning how do it without the bones.....get 5 nice fillets off each pike and real easy to do. I've been missing out and will be keeping them for now on!
That food looks amazing! Thanks for sharing your vids, they're interesting and informative. Your way of life is really appealing especially in this over technologized world.
Charlie your on bear patrol!!! Saweet, living, think ill be moving up there fix that cabin up! ! Me and my dogs would be alot happier in that country!! Looking to eating some squirrel soup with you tomorrow. Thanks for sharing! Give ole Charlie a pet on the head for me.
Frig the yard work! A fellow has to go fishing whenever he can. I'll eat walleye over pike any day. But you certainly made a delicious looking meal.Judging by the rifle, the bear watching is pretty serious. You should do a serious examination of the old cabin. Check under the ground/cabin floor and everything. You might find some old traps that collectors will pay big bucks for. No flies this year? Count your blessings. Thanks for the vid.
watching your videos makes me want to throw everything away and move up to a place like yours. Just leave everything , wife , kids house ,car payments . just live a simple and no strings life. Be dependant on the land and make a simple living . Just enough is all I would need. Great video thanks for sharing .
this is the best channel ever ive watched all your videos at least once. you truely do live the life. was woundering when the next videos on the trap line are coming. nice job Andrew
Great living up there! I'm your neighbor south of you from Appleton WI. I have made I up your way a few times. Best damn pike fishing it gets exhausting its so good! Wish sometimes I could have a camp like yours man!
I really reallllly enjoyed this video. Every minute. The boat ride out. The creek. and my favorite, the trappers cabin. Spent all day fishing up in Crawling Valley AB today. Caught two walleye. Sadly only catch and release. At the end, we brought the boat in and I was desperate for a few more casts. So I went to the edge of the swimming area and casted a few times... Didnt feel it. So I said fuck it, I casted right into the swimming area. (8:30pm no one in sight) I caught this crazy Pike, 19". Didn't have a net or anything so yanked it onto shore... Now, Im new at fishing. Ive gone like... 4 times. Only have caught two Rainbow trout, 1st, 7inches... throw back. second, 15inches, in Mitten Lake BC, took it home and ate it. Best meal ever, Because I caught it myself. So back to AB, on the shore, I casted a few more times and caught another 20" pike. It was awesome. Right in the swimming area. So took them home, gutted them, and now they are on the way to being cooked tomorrow. Now the whole idea of how to cook the whole meal has changed thanks to this video. That looked so tasty! Happy Trails!! -Dawn.
